I'd have to agree with Whalewasp!! awesome movie!!

Next, would be K-PAX ... with Kevin Spacey, written by Gene Brewer who also has a brother named "Robert Brewer" - but hold on to your britches everyone - its not Linda's Robert Brewer - i've already emailed Gene for a definate.

I could never get into Star Wars ... or Star Track/Trek (see i cant even spell it) My mom used to watch that all the time ... it was the worst punishment ever. Although i hear that the New Star Wars is pretty good.

Anyone seen , Finding Neverland - not sci-fi, but mystical ... i balled so hard in that movie. Of course i had to order PPV when honey was outta town - cause he wont watch those type of movies. But oh my gosh - i loved it. Hook is also an all time fav.

angel of hope, hell yea '2001' is a good one. The thing alot of people don't like about it is they don't understand what is happening, and there isn't alot of dialogue. I have all the books by Arthur C. Clarke, one of my fav writers, and knowing what's happening adds even more to the movie.

Stargate kicks ass also. I like the theory behind it.

Comedy-wise 'Spaceballs'. Like the part when they 'jam', the radar...by shooting a giant glass of jam into the dish. Lord Helmet says "Only one man dares give me the raspberry....LOOONESTAAAR!!!" Also hyper-speed, then 'ludacrious speed'.

Not a movie, but I've been wanting PBS to show "Red Dwarf" again. For some reason I've had Kryton's line, "Balls on standby, Sir," popping into my head recently (he was talking about worry balls, by the way ).

I also loved ET, and liked:
The Alien movies
X Men 1 and 2 (loved the opening to the second one)
The first Star Wars
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
and the new Battlestar Galactica television show.

I know there are a few more, but I can't recall them right now..

I remember Mars Attacks ~ I don't remember what song it was that was blared out of the young man's car though (if I'm remembering correctly).

I've never seen K-Pax or 2001: A Space Odyssey, but I've wanted to.
Finding Neverland is another one on my "need to see" list.
Another movie that's not technically Sci-Fi ~ FairyTale: A True Story
and the Harry Potter movies.
