Hi
I am new to this site so hi to everyone.
I have a question for anyone that knows about astrology. I have read a couple of Linda's books a long time ago and I think I read somewhere that distant stars can influence our charts. I am no astrologer but would like to know anyones opinion on this and also perhaps the influence of asteroids. And also how does numerology fit with astrology??

The section here called Universal Codes deals a little bit with Numerology.

Yes, there are additional planets and asteriods that can be part of your chart. Tracking down the information on how they affect you may be a little difficult, but the information's out there.

Get googling...

Cathy,

Here are a few interesting sites for asteroids:

(1) http://www.winshop.com.au/annew/ (great with lots of info including a page on "Love Affairs" stars.

(2) Here is a great conversation/thread at Bob Marks' site on whether or not to use asteroids (as a novice, I am intrigued by asteroids, particularly ones such as Chrion and Eros)
http://www.bobmarksastrologer.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=690&highlight=juno

(3) Unique look at Hilary Clinton's chart as analyzed by asteroid placements.

(by the way - did you have trouble grabbing a unique UserID?)

We do play around with distant starts and mostly with the 5 major "asteroids", or what some prefer to as "planetoids" because there is some debate on which category they fall into. Chiron, Pallas, Ceres, Vesta, Juno.

Have you gone to astro.com yet? If you go to FREE CHARTS > EXTENDED CHARTS > at the bottom you will find a link to katrillions of those you can mess around with. Some have cool names.

This will tell you where they lie in your Chart, but you'll need more info for interpretations.

For the 5 major ones, I like http://goddess.astrology.com and here's some basics on Chiron as well as "points" (which are not actual bodies) such as the Midheaven, Vertex & North Node - www.cafeastrology.com/articles/planetsinastrology.html.

I happen to think that the smaller bodies support and further break down the interpretations you'll find in basic Chart interpretation... which is good because everything concurs - hence - there really is order!
