We just hired a new lab tech. Tons of people applied for this position; I included date-of-birth information on the application form. Would you believe I went to astro.com and got an astrological profile on the top (5) candidates? It was a toss-up - they were equally qualified. We offered the position to what I perceived as the best fit for the position from this data - yes, she accepted - she has been here a week. She is a Capricorn sun, aqua moon. I was a little concerned about her mars in aries, since a past employee had this and argued constantly. Okay. Well, I actually have mars in aries, too - but - one is enough! She also has mercury in capricorn. What kind of employee is she so far? She's a very hard worker, and conscientious. Seems to be a good choice.

Mars in Aries will help motivate the Earth signs, but it does add some conflict to her Personality (Sun) and Communication (Mercury). I am not sure if she will argue, but she won't allow anyone to push her around.

I haven't had the best experience with female Capricorn employees, but the males seem to work their butts off. Mercury in Capricorn is great for scientific work, as it predisposes one to take the time to really evaulate the task at hand (great for lab work and also keeps the person from getting sloppy which can be dangerous).

I am a Sag with Mercury in Capricorn (Aries moon / Venus in Aries). I spent years in laboratory / research, but had to break out of the lab to actually work with people in the outside world. LOL...

Personally though, if I had my choice when it came to hiring someone in the lab, I would like a Virgo employee - maybe even a Taurus.

Hi Pidua -

It is interesting to note that my daughter has aries sun/sag moon & rising (flip-flopping with your sun and moon). She also works in a lab.

I agree, some virgo in the lab would be great - you really have to be precise and careful. However, after making sure the qualifications checked out, I only had (5) applications to choose from. The chosen employee also has venus in sag, jupiter in libra. I thought the earth/air would make a hard-working and intelligent employee.

I have Mars in Aries, and have had less than 10 arguments with my husband in 14 years of marriage. What's wrong with that picture? LOL.

She will not be arguing alot but she won't be pushed around. My sun is Gemini. That Capricorn can be fierce in the work place. She will probably be bright and hard working. I have never known any truly lazy Capricorns.

LOL... Key, I can't believe I said I had Venus in Aries.. Actually, it is in Sag.. my Jupiter is in Scorpio. LOL...

My brain is still jet-lagged.

I hear ya about only have a small number of qualified people. It used to feel like there were more qualified lab geeks that jobs, but now that seems to be changing.

What kind of lab is it?

I have mars in aries and I only get angry when Im provoked *it does motivate me though.... when Im at work only . You have to look @ the house placement. If she has it in the 3rd house, like me, THEN you should watch out (Yeah, maybe I mouth off! )

Hi Moonduchess -

I also have mars in aries in the 3rd. I don't mouth off as much as I used to - it has taken a lot of effort to reach this point (of counting to 10 over and over before speaking), though.

I don't have the new employee's time of birth, so I don't know the house placements.

Pidua - I think, generally, that mars in aries always contributes to action/hard work. Good qualities. After all, this is considered to be mar's best placement - in aries.

being virgo, i am flattered that ya'll say to hire one in a lab. Couldn't be truer. We love the detail and precision necessary. I like cappy's for workers. They seem to be hard workers from my experience. My husb and I work at the same company. He has access to all birthdates. I always look at this and it helps me deal with people around me. I've never found it to be in-accurate. I enjoy analyzing people this way.

Actually I don't like rules at all! But one thing I'm curiuos about is: Did you ask peoples permission to look at their chart? I for one have a lot of respect for astrology and I would be very very angry ( and I have mars in aries as well - opposed to uranus - you do the math) if I found out that people were looking at my chart without permission. Especially seeing that unless you're an astrologist; you really do not know enough about astrology to make that judgement - do you?
Seems to me you'd do better if you listened to your intuition instead...
Im my country that's invasion of privacy.. Anyway - just my opinion..

JupiterRulesSurely I would also be very very angry if someone was looking at my chart without my permission to decide whether or to hire me!!!! And especially if you are not a qualified astrologer!! That to me is a form of discrimination!

I think its awesome. More jobs should do that. Atleast that much could help keep buttkissers out of management positions if their chart shows no natural ability to lead competantly... Personaly I would choose the ones who charts show a dislike for leadership, yet lots of tallent at helping steer peaepl down a possative path.

If they dont like it , just close down your complaint department !

I feel that optimism is a very important quality to have in an employee.
