Have a think about it, this is sort of fun

Would you actually, come to think, with your individual astrological placements, work better as a member of the opposite sex? LOL

So if you're a woman, do you think your views on sex and love, or commitment or more of a male perspective?
Or if you're a guy, do you think your sensitivity would work better if you were a girl?

Disclaimer: this topic is not to promote any bizarre mid-life crisises OR plastic surgery!!

For instance, I think my Aries Moon would work way better if I was a guy, because its the men that traditionally do the chasing.

AND, even if you think you're planetery gender works fine for you, then still feel free to ponder how you'd cope if you were the opposite sex.

Just wondering... I don't want to scare anyone.

Seeing I've actually met someone born same day, same year, but only a few hours earlier, and he was a male. I was very disturbed to find he was exactly what I think I'd might be if I was male with the same chart. A wh*re . LOL.

Ok actually that's harsh, but he was obsessively desperate for approval and acceptence, lacked any degree of self-possession, and was so intensely self-absorbed, I could have almost found it admirable if it hadn't been so repulsive. But he had Cancer ASC, and I have Virgo, and the major difference is that my ASC puts my Sun and Merc in the 10th and Pluto and Uranus in the 1st, while for him those planets were in the 11th, 12th and 3rd. Also his Mars was in the 4th (aggressively needy) while mine's in the 6th (calm, cool, and on task).

Anyhow, if I was a male with the same exact chart, I suspect I'd find it harder to balnce my Neptunian-lunar inner self with my Uranian-Mercurial intellect and personality.

Hmmm...I think my Venus in Pisces and Ascendant in Virgo would work better if I were a girl. Otherwise, haha, nothing really.

It would have to be a lady who's an incarnate between Jimmy Page, Robert Johnson, Erwin Rommel, and Ludwig Beethoven.

Well my best friend tells me I'm a boy. I think of myself as sort of androgynous already so I don't think I'd be very different if I had something else between my legs.
But, I think that if I MET a boy who had my birth chart, they would be my soulmate! I would love to meet someone like that. My favourite actor (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) has a very similar chart to me and I already feel like he's my soulmate (I'm planning a trip to L.A. to find him..just kidding...I think.. )

Interesting to consider. I think I'd probably have a slightly easier time if I was the female version of my chart. Of course, it's kind of hard to say.

Yeah so do I, with 5 masculine placements. As it is, I'm kinda Tom boy personality in a skirt However, the Pisces Moon would likely irritate me more if I was a guy. Always absorbing other's emotions and vibes, I'd probably channel it through song writing or playing a musical instrument. Hey, thats a cool idea even now being a girl

For your age, you come up with some really thought provoking posts 2 thumbs up for you baby!

Robert Downey Jr shares my same sun/moon/asc
like him I've had my share of substance abuse problems which for me came from the opposition of the Moon and Neptune. (classic abuse aspect) Unlike Robert I have managed to stay clean after my melt down. This is partially true because of huge responsibilities in my life (family) that have made me choose sobriety.

Aries being first and a masculine sign really does compliment the men more than the women but gives us moxie.

I can't really be described as masculine (thank you Moon/Venus in Taures)
But anything a man can do, so can I.

Aries independence and confidence goes a long way and is a valuable tool.

Yeah...I've thought about what it'd be like if I were a man... LOL, I've been told I should have been born a man, because I never cry, and I just generally give off alot of masculine energy I think. I really feel I would do fine as either sex. I feel just how they describe Aquarians, that I have equal masculine, and feminine energy. I can hang around guys, or girls...makes no difference...
I like being a girl though, because my masculine energy does make people question the whole feminine steriotype. Not that I'm competitive, or really masculine...I'm just in the middle I guess...not really too masculine, or feminine...

my chart is kind of a conflict between masculinity and femininity...

I have venus in aries, and rising in sag..but then again sun and moon in pisces...

I am always so angry about the sexism of this world...and i hate anything stereotypically feminine..i.e. lipstick, feminine clothes..... I once read that women with venus in aries have a problem accepting their femininity...

Yet when i m in love my pisces side comes out.and i love being led and possessed in some subtle ways... subtle enough for my masculine fire side not to notice!

i think my chart goes both ways...but in this world.. a "sensitive" man would be more welcomed than a "rebelious woman"...so.. maybe i should be a man

Mutual Reception
Two planets in mutual reception are the next best thing to a planet in its home sign, especially if they are of the same element or polarity. Two planets are in mutual reception when they disposit each other.

example 1: Sun in Aries and Mars in Leo

Each planet is in the sign the other rules so that there is a cross-link or interdependancy. Both planets complete or fulfill each other, and in a positive way, since both are trine aspect(by sign).

example 2: Venus in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus

These two planets wil also fulfill or complete each other but it won't be easy as the two are in square(by sign).

Mutual reception can also work by transit or between planets in two people's charts. If you are a Sun in Aries, for example, you will be especially sensitive to the transit of Mars in Leo, or to someone's Mars in Leo.

for you monmonitas
Sun is exalted in Aries
Venus is exalted in Pisces

I think I'd be gay. I'm a lot like most of my gay friends, so if I weren't a chick, I'd probably be hooking up with them.

Great question, MNF. Very thought provoking!

monmonitaa,
quote:
Sun is exalted in Aries
Venus is exalted in Pisces

it's another type of mutual reception, not based on sign rulers but rather dispositions (exaltation, detriment, fall)

I love being a woman , and wouldn't change it, although sometimes I think in my culture and situation, being a man I would have a lot more freedom to break the rules and express my natural rebellious nature...I would be able to accomplish more positive change in my life and perhaps others' too.

However I love being female and celebrate it. I love how men love me. I dont think they would so much if I was a man. and if i were a man I would also enjoy relationships like I do now but not play the field. I think either way my chart would prohibit that

I have 6 masculine planets and 4 feminine , but I think of myself as very feminine in appearance and ettiquette, very masculine in the way I think. I am very much a thinker and a communicator, and not too many women can relate to, or appreciate, my thirst for logic and education and my methodology in debate.

I hate to say it, but if I was a guy....I would be hott LOL . Good thing I prefer being a hott girl instead lol Aquarius is a funny sign...the girls take on more masculine characteristics (eg. broad shoulders), while the guys take on more feminine ones (like wider hips). Sag venus also give me an athletic appeal and strong and nicely shaped thighs...nice in guys...and still nice in girls. And yeah, my pisces mooon would mess me up if I was a guy! On the other hand sensitivity in a guy is a really good thing, and pluse the moon makes reading others thoughts much easier!

@ DD. yes i agree, with the hotness thing, i dont think any of us who think of ourselves as hot would like to compromise the hotness for a sex change

its funny that you mention the wider hip aqua males and wider shoulder aqua females. that is SOOOOO true. i like the men's roman god features tho. lol. very cute. but they can walk in a feminine way and stuff. just out of curiosity, do feminine guys like masculine girls? how does it work? (seriously, not joking here, coz the new aqua i may meet is kinda feminine. ouch, after the uber masculine aries i was with. oh well, cant have everything huh?)

I like the roman nose too. And yes I've noticed some Aqua guys walk and even sit in a feminine way. I have no clue if feminine guys like masculine girls. LOL! I don't think it has anything to do with how feminine or masculine the girl is...as long as she is strong minded, confident and knows herself. Sorry I'm not much help ...it might be easier for an Aqua guy to answer this.

lol thanks DD, no it does help a bit, the thing is i have a theory about feminine men, some cancer men can be feminine too, and aquas can be too, they tend to be attracted to masculine women, like cancer men to taurus women (not saying they are masculine in the sense of the word but very strong body language, attitude, opinions etc.) and like aqua men are SO attracted to leo women,

every aqua man ive known has been attracted to a leo woman at least once in his life and all have fessed up to it meaning that those leo women have something that attracts the aqua feminine men and are somehow memorable to them too, and most of the leo women i know are kind of masculine becoz they have the masculine energy and are so aggressive sometimes. and the whole aqua men attracted to scorp women too, could that be another example of feminine men attracted to a somewhat masculine energy woman ?

on the other hand, pisces women, very feminine (traditionally) are supposed to turn on aqua males (we're assuming to be feminine) major time? or are those only the ones with homo tendencies

Aqua and Leo are opposites, and opposites attract like magnets. I'm not sure what it is...each has something the other lacks and wants. I think the high self confidence Leo women have may be one of the reasons why Aqua men are attracted to them...not to say Aqua men aren't self confident. But again Aquarians are attracted to people who are sure of themselves. Scorp is square Aqua so there would be some tension there. Maybe they just like the challenge of the tension? You have to look at a guys chart to see where his venus and moon lie, and what his descendant is to predict what kind of girl he'd be attracted to, beyond their opposites.

Speaking for myself, as an Aquarian girl, I am usually attracted first by a very masculine presence. But after that they better have the smarts and be a good talker to back up their brawn. I would pick a more feminine guy (as long as those qualities don't bother or annoy me) who has the brains over a fine looking specimen that just doesn't have enough upstairs for me. So maybe an Aqua guy would think in similar terms?

Hope this helps...my mind is a bit foggy right now...it's past my bedtime!

I have yet to actualy be very atracted to a Leo women. Ive had a few as freinds,,, but their erogence, and way of displaying it doesnt even help me with a phsical atraction with them,,, and I have been very turned on by other sorts of erogent girls.

Think the whole Scorp atractioin is more because of the potency and power of what is clearly to me their particular feminine energy.
