alright, this debate will never end as to who the king is...scorpio or leo?

whoever it is, i'm to benifit ;-) (sun sco, moon sco, asc leo).

jus kiddin. back to seriousness...
what is ur taste of the best and the worst forms of ego.

startin with me...
best: when i 'defeated' a guy i know long back in a mind game which were playing for the ultimate showdown. the game was typical scorpionic. show the enemy down and beat him in his own stratgies. i'm not going into detail. then that one look in his eyes would bring degust on his face!

worst: when inspite of all the promises i made to my self and others i couldn't deliver results in my studies.

i guess former ego had become super ego and went out of control...

what are your experiences with ego. good bad or ugly just speak out.

------------------
I have to be cruel only to be kind,
Thus the bad begins and the worse is left behind.

Leo is the King, Scorpio is the power behind the throne...the question is who has the real power?

Leo is the king - we cannot change that - Scorpio just wants to be king - something to do with the Plutonian power lurking deep inside.

Hey Evolution am intrested to know, having sun and moon in the same sign, does this make you desire relationships where you mold fully with the partner? just something I was looking at on another thread, and wondered

I read somewhere that having Moon and Sun in the same sign means that your emotions and ego go well together and sometimes cannot be consciously separated.
While having ASC and Sun in the same sign (Sun in the 1st house though) means that the person is "what he seems".

You could have a point there Peri

I only ask as I too have sun moon in the same sign and I know how it works with me, I know what I would class as the ultimate relationship/partner, in my book and am just curious if it is the same for all sun moon same sign people

King of the superficial material world we occupy physically, or Master of the reality that is masked by the former? Maybe thats another question.

Power is nothing in itself if it is power taken. Power given willingly through love requires a much stronger King to handle with the right balance of compassion and leadership.

I personally don't see either Scorpio's or Leo's as Kings.

But then I'm looking from the end of the rainbow from a Piscean perspective and can see the folly and weakness in all men.

And I have heavy Scorpio influences myself and know that their sreach and lust for power is only a search for control (security).

Leo's I think just express themselves powerfully and are charismatic in they way they do it. Not really leaders in my eyes.

Leos are ruled by the Sun, plus they’re the kings of the jungle jk the ones close to me honestly act like they’re royalty. Even my little sister who’s turning six acts like a princess…but at the same time sooo well behaved. She’s got Gemini Moon & rising, so the only problem with her is she wont shut up lol awwww too cute.

Leos have huge egos, BUT they’re incredibly generous…with everything. My best gifts have all been from Leos ( excluding the one’s from my parents ). Not only that, but they know exactly how to boost your ego and make you laugh. They’re nothing but sunshine even when depressed…it’s odd.

I have to admit, I’m a bit biased. I adore Leos, my family has tons…it’s very difficult to dislike them.

Leo is Queen…or King ( I know mostly females )
They’re ruled by the most important “planet”.

My first experience with Scorpio was not a good one. My mother raised me to think independently - and to follow my instincts ( she’s Libra/Pisces/Gemini ).

Anyway, it’s not that I was a difficult child…but I didn’t like authority. My mother had to be really nice to get me to do anything. So when my Scorpio aunt baby sat me during my preteens…she was not pleased. It was a big ego clash…I refused to listen to her demands…and you know what I got for that? A beating!!! It was NOT right. I ran to my room and cried till mother came home. The Scorpio woman left me alone in the house - I WAS NOT EVEN TWELVE!!!! She had a responsibility!!!! You can see why she’s the black sheep of the family…and why my Aries grandmother despises her.

What REALLY upset me was that mum wasn’t that mad. All she did was talk to the woman - all the Scorpio woman had to say was “I’ll wait till she comes to my house, and then you’ll see!!!!!!!!!!”

I swear to God it’s true!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMAO do you know it’s funny now…but when I was little it scared the sh1t out of me. So whenever I think of Scorpio…I think of this woman She demanded respect and authority without earning it.

I’m sorry, but I never want to be under the power of a Scorpio again - it’s not a safe place to be.

The fact is that cancer is the one controlling you. None has the ability to manipulate like the wicked crab.

I look at it like this. Leo embodies the classical view of royalty. People think of crown and scepter when the word 'king' is said.

For some reason, with Scorpio, I think contemporarily. I visualize 'the Generalissimo', you know the stereotype. The pencil moustache, dark glasses, and general's uniform with all the medals and braids.

Pluto in the 12th and Scorpio are not mutually exclusive phenomena.

Evolution - what is ego but the desire to express your power? Or control your environment or others?

Your very example of "good ego" expresses satisfaction at doing just this.

The further you get to the end of the journey the more ego becomes irrelevant, think Aquarius and then Pisces. Although individuals can mess this theory up, the signs themselves symbolise a broader perspective.

My point boils down to the fact that ego is an unevolved state of being, a manifestation of unfulfilled desires. But if used correctly can produce beneficial results for the person and others.

To answer your question directly:

Good ego - drive, ambition, heroism in the face of danger (but these are all selfish motives, although the latter can also be inspired by compassion)

Bad ego - despotism, cruelty, any form of torture for pleasure, greed
