Try reading Sylvia Browne's "The Other Side and Back", then see what you think.

Well, I have seen two different psychics twice.
Anyway, the first time I went, I was 16-0r something. (too young to go, now that I think of it) She told me some information but kept needing reassurance from me that she was right. She kind of freaked me out b/c the whole thing was eerie for me.

Anyway, about 2 years ago, I went to another. I got a tarot reading and palm reading. She started telling me things and I didn't need to ask. She said that I had lived before and that I had some latent psychic ability.(I am still perplexed about these things)

She was dead on with most of the things she said about my current situations and the past. The future..well, I guess she didn't want me to make a decision based upon what she was telling me....

Oh, and get this: about the far off future, they BOTH told the same thing about the type of person I would end up with, and the same number of children I would have (We shall see, with this one..) But I did think it was odd they both saw the same thing...

The first psychic I went to said I needed some prayers said for me, and the second one immediately when I stepped into the room said "Have you ever had someone-a psychic pray for you??"

Psychics have their moments for sure...

I would suggest seeing one in person if you really want a reading-and know what you think and feel before you go, that way, you can really be objective about what they are telling you!

I used to like Sylvia Browne too, but I am convinced this woman has a lot of neg energy, something about her turns me off..maybe it is those long, heinous, fake red nails she always wears?? LOL. My Aries friend LOVES her though....

I have psychic abilities, but would never encourage anyone to go to a "psychic" for a number of reasons. I don't beleive there's any substance to tarot readings at all, so naturally I wouldn't condone that either. I see astrology as a tool for insight and growth nd it may gave some wieght in divination, which should never be overemphasized or exeffcised selfishly. Like any tool, astrology can be used badly or improperly.

Another thing is people are impressionable, gulliable and easy mislead by mere suggestion. This makes them suckers, in the B.T. Barnum sense. So hey, if you feel duped, I'm thinking you've let yourself be duped.

I also have found that most who go to these psychic/tarot people tend to be lacking in the accountability department. They want to know this or that not for growth or insight )even if they say that's why), but to rationalize, to get some ego stroke and to feed the vain hope of avoiding icky consequences of their own bad choices. Accountability is the price we pay for free will. Divination doesn't get us out that.

There are many people around that are making money.

Ihave been to psychics, I think they are fun. I don't believe that what they say is set in cement. We do have free will. But there are two that I have seen that were amazing. To be able to tell you the initial of eg the man you are seeing.... what the circumstances are around them very accurately, what they look like etc etc all without any input from me is good evidence that they have some sort of gift. A lot of people dream the future, and have premonitions. I think pschics, (real ones) are just more developed than this.

I believe we have free will but what psychics pick up are the most likely events to happen. One event will usually lead to another.

For me to ever go back to a psychic they have to be 90% accurate. The two that I know of are that accurate. Genuine psychics are few and far between, word of mouth is usually how you find them

I actually ended up getting read by a clairvoyant for free last June. She's actually a friend of my friend and she was extremely accurate. She doesn't have like a bussiness liscense, and actually works selling lotions and stuff. Oddly the reading came @ a time when I was about to give up on something, now I know to stay on that path.

*oh yeah, but I DO believe in the power of free will, no one's predictions are set in stone

Hello shop22much, acctually I think about this alot myself in a sort of different way... you are Virgo Sun Aqua ASC, Aries Moon right? I remember because I have the same combo, but with a Leo Moon.
I do believe in psychics...just not the ones who you call over the phone... I think there are some out there. I think they are just people who are able to channel thoughts from their future selves, or YOUR future self, or past self, whatever the case may be. Then thinking of future selves, that brings about the question "Do I have free will, or am I just in an infinate circle of recouring time" I probably sound discouraging, but we'll never know, so I try not to worry about it. I've been there, and done that in my spiritual life, but honestly, we can't change it, so it makes no difference. I just try to live the best I can, and enjoy myself, that's all we can do.

yeah, never go to the ones w/ the hotlines. Based on what I've been told, ppl always end up being turned over to their "assistants"........and then the phone bills go through the roof. Fakes if you ask me.

I have seen many psychics in the past, and recently I got addicted to psychics. It wasn't a serious addiction, but I called 3 times for 2 psychics in one month, and that's a lot for me. They say you shouldn't spend more than $100 a month on a psychic.

I have only had one or two good experiences with psychics in my lifetime and both of them were the dial a psychic variety. One was on the phone, and the other was online chat.

I had two psychics tell me horrible things that were just simply untrue, and they were so adamant. When confronted, they just try to convince it's true and act like it is true, just to brainwash you so they have credibility. I think these psychics either know that they're lying or just plain made a mistake and just didn't realize it. They aren't really accurate and think they are seeing something, when in fact it's nothing. I know this, cause I have the answer and they just don't.

Psychics that say you have a curse or blackness are lying and should be stayed away from. They are psychic vampires and will just suck your bank acct. dry. I have had some horrible experiences with them, and all in all, the whole experience has empowered me so that I would never let myself get in that situation again.

If you want a good psychic, I recommend going to www.kasamba.com

They have online chat with psychics. The one that is really good is Diane Wilson. I consulted her twice. She didn't remember me the second time around, but gave the same exact reading , which showed me that she was accurate and consistent. Her predictions seem to be coming true, even though I did not believe in them at first. She read into the situation accurately without me telling her any information except for name and DOB. She gave specifics of my situation to the tee. She even talked about a guy who was interested in me that I couldn't think of. She described him, and I just could not think of the person in my life.

Turns out, it was my acquantence that fit the exact description AND was also interested in me. So she gave me info. that I didn't even know about.

I would highly suggest her. I wouldn't believe in those psychics you consulted, cause like they say. There's few far and between really truly good psychics out there, and she is one of them. I think the majority of them really don't know what they are talking about, and trust me. I have been to more than my fair share of psychics since I was 16.

Good luck to you. I hope this all helps.

Shop22, I think anything that interferes with your enjoyment of life and your ability to live a happy and content existence IS negative..period

HOPE in the future is a massive deal to a lot of people..if that hope is taken away, it obviously has a negative impact on your life, on your emotional well-being.

Whether or not there are true psychics out there, isn't the issue in my opinion.. Because YES there would be people with a gift and there would be others scamming, but that's besides the point.

Whether the person telling you the "negative" thing, whatever it is, that will supposedly happen in the future, is FOR REAL or NOT.. they are doing THE WRONG thing..

In my opinion no spiritual, positive, loving person WITH a gift, such as foretelling.. would turn that gift into what I see as a negative practice.. They would use it for good, not evil.. AND telling someone negative things BEFORE they even happened with a CONVICTION that says "they will happen" ..is not healthy and it interferes with the other persons ability to enjoy their life... so it's negative, evil, mean spirited to do so..why would you trust such a person?

To me, someone who has a gift should use that for a positive purpose.. for a positive outcome, TO HELP..not TO DISAPPOINT or make people feel bad.

Think about it this way.. how did it help you to find out (whether it's true or not) that whatever you were looking for "won't be happening". IS this piece of information helpul to you in any way?

Lets just say, the psychics you called were truly able to tell the future. You call them up and ask: will I be able to do this.. they say: no doesn't look like it, maybe later ..in months,years..

Lets say They're RIGHT and it WONT happen.. but How does it benefit you to know that, even if "assuming" it is true..you can't change it..

So really, All that "piece of information" does is MAKE YOU LOSE HOPE..MAKE YOU FEEL BAD.. it doesn't HELP YOU in any way at all.

Even if whatever it was you were asking for, will only happen later or not at all.. why live the next 4, 5 yrs disappointed and unhappy thinking I HAVE to wait, or thinking IT WONT happen anyways, might as well give it up. Why should you have to go through that..instead of being HAPPY for the next years and hopefull and keep trying..

Basically the outcome of these "pyschics" little predictions is leaving the other person feeling depressed.. and THEY ARE AWARE OF THAT, but they go ahead and DO IT anyways.. it's just plainly mean spirited, and it's going to earn them a lot of brownie points in BAD karma throughout the years.. for all the ppl they sent into depression, with their negative words (whether or not they were accurate)

I couldn't and wouldn't place any trust in a person who knowingly quences people's hopes and dreams and makes a negative impact on their life.

Have any of these psychics wondered how THEIR actual interpretation affected the future of that person? How the person might've acted completely differently due to their interpretations and possibly (like a friend of mine) got to a stage where it was self-destructing..

This friend, a Gemini girl - she used to be so nice, happy, great friend.. She went to a psychic and completely changed, barely even spoke to people anymore, didn't wanna tell anyone what the psychic had told her. This was years ago, we were 14 or 15 at the time. Later I finally managed to find out from her mum that the psychic had told her and completely CONVINCED her of the fact that in about a year she'd get a life threatening disease.. so DUE to that prediction she went through yrs of depression, anorexia, wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep..she WANTED to die..

I mean, it's crazy..if that's not black magic I don't know what is.

Her life would've been fine without that predition. They MADE her sick, literally. And no, she never got a life threatening disease
