I am confused now about my husband's rising sign. I thought he was Pisces, but I played around with the Ascendant, which according to his Mom is 8:45am. This would make it Sag rising, which I thought improbable partly bec. of his looks. But now I see that it gives him Venus in first, and possibly Jupiter too, depending, and close to the Asc. Would this outweigh the importance of the rising sign? I noticed for instance that Saggies often have protuberant teeth, sort of horse-like. They usually also have oblong faces, don't they? (I was never interested in Saggies, but I think they do.)

Any ideas about any of this (other than that I appear to be hopelessly clueless?)

Thanks beebuddy, you are building me up again ! I feel like such a "duh" right now. I've been calling my husband "my little fishie" (half affectionately, half condescendingly ) for the past 6 months at least, and now it's probably going to turn out he's a darn Archer!!

Hmmm.....well, I wouldn't say that I am horse-like in the mouth although it is large and I have nice teeth. My brother (another sag) also does not have a huge horse mouth but he does have nicely sized teeth.

LOL.... We are both Archers and I have met several Saggie risings - I wouldn't say our heads are totally oblong. Personally, mine is a bit round (Aries moon).

I am a Virgo rising, my brother is a Pisces rising. I have Pluto conjunct Ascendant in the 1st house along with Uranus in Libra (a singleton). My brother has Mars in Aries in the 1st house.

I think planets in the 1st house, specifically those that conjunct that ascendant will give an definite color to the personality and appearance. I can come across as quite scorpion - but not very Aquarian (Uranus). I am also not all that Virgo rising in appearance. I have dark eyes and I make huge eye contact. I am also not prone to being jittery and having nervous leg / hand syndrome like many risings. I DO look much younger than I am though

Yes, of course, I didn't mean to suggest you all look like horses. But if you look at Jane Fonda, Brigitte Bardot (I don't know if you are "old" enough to know her, she used to be sex symbol in the, well, I'm not sure when either, maybe 70's? French) they definitely have teeth that stand out. I wouldn't want to be bit by them! LOL! Also, Jean-Louis Trigntignant, a very typical Archer, physically, that is.

But your brother, the Pisces Rising, what shape does his face have?

Do you know by any chance if Jupiter on the ascendant makes a person more, like, fleshy?

Jupiter in the 1st house would give red hair and/or height.

Sag Asc. does have the horse thing going on but I have heard it described more delicately

Don't forget the cowlick(s). Sag is famous for it, in fact I'd have bangs if it wern't for the cowlick seperation

I have heavy Sag in my chart: Sun, Asc, Mars & Jupiter, but no horse teeth...nicely shaped & size for my mouth...I do have that d@mn cowlick though! I'm also taller than average than most women, a slender 5'10", so I would say I look typically Sagittarian except for the teeth...plus, my sun AND Jupiter are also in my 1st house...

Maybe Jane Fonda's teeth are hereditary - her smile looks a lot like her father's and brother's...the whole Fonda look

I'm a capricorn rising but have neptune conjunct ascendant and definately relate to the pisces vibe more than the cappy one. People close to me say i'm very piscean as well (those into astrology).

Well, maybe it's just me but I find Sag ascendants VERY attractive- two of the best-looking people I've ever known had Sag rising. I think it often gives great legs and midsections, chershire cat smiles, interesting eyes, height, long necks, elegance, often large feet and hands (which I like).. and I've noticed a pattern, confirmed by librarising.com, that many Sag risings have the dark hair/light eyes combo-which is also gorgeous. Of course the one person I'm thinking of also has Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus all in the first house, so that might be why he looks like this gorgeous alien that overwhelms me with his beauty and charm.

Yes, I know what you mean. Male and female Saggies are definitely lookers... And the part about the legs is a fact!

I still don't think my hubby has Sag rising. No cowlick, but frizzy hair. Also, not a fire ascendant temperament either. He's got to be either Pisces or Cancer rising, but Cancer would mean his mother is off by 12 hours! Nobody can be that distracted!

Keeping with the whole planet conjunct the asc, what effect does mars and pluto trine asc have on ones appearance. Does anyone know?? I have a lot of aspects to the asc besides these:

Neptune opp asc, Jupiter opp asc, and Mercury opp asc...I have never really paid attention to aspects to the ascendant before....

aquarian's tend to have frizzy or lots of static electricity about the head. stray hairs and whatnot.

I have Sag rising W/Neptune and Uranus Saturn n the 1st houze.With Uranus conjuct asc.,Mars opposite asc.,Sun trine asc.,Chiron opposite asc.Whew!!What would this look like?lol
