SKYWATCH AUGUST 21 2005When Mercury is in Leo, as he is now, it makes for some interesting
conversations. Leo is the part of our chart where we are somehow a
bit extra special, where we keep our talents and showcase what we're
proud of. Leo is the sign of the proud performer, the roaring lion,
the grand gesture and the big heart. Mercury, meanwhile, is about
the way we think, what we say and how we listen.
When Mercury cruises through Leo, then, we all get at least just a
teeny bit more actor-ly. Or if that's just not our style, we perhaps
find ourselves in situations where we should be a bit more actor-ly -
where we need to speak up - and when we find ourselves scared.
Mercury has been in Leo for a few weeks now, and did his latest
retrograde spell here. Now, though, he's going forwards again,
recovering some of the same ground as a few weeks ago. This gives us
all a second chance to take a deep breath and make that big
statement, deliver that email or finally speak up for ourselves as
we wish we'd done earlier.
Mercury makes three major planetary links this week - to Mars,
Neptune then Jupiter. The first two are difficult. The Mars link
suggests it'll going to be all too easy to lose our temper and to
say too much. Mind how you go, because the Leo flavour means we're
all going to have more of a taste for drama than usual and it really
could get heated with everyone `over-acting'. The subsequent link to
Neptune suggests some kind of confusion or even deception. Certainly
mid-week is not an ideal time to be getting into conversations about
contracts and other important agreements, if you can help it. Next
weekend sees Mercury back on form. If you can wait until then to
sign off on important deals, or to have that sensitive conversation,
so much the better.
