Does any of you have any info on Vesta aspects in synastry? Namely conjunctions, but anything would be helpful.

OK, *any* info on Vesta...

I already have Bob Marks' stuff. I'm ooking for info concerning the connection between Vesta and sexuality. Marks' stuff, like a lot of stuff on Vesta, focuses too predominantly on service and work. Not that helpful for synastry.

Hi Gemini Nymph

If you go to http://groups.myspace.com/horoscopicastrology , you should find a couple of threads by a John Y, that are all about Vesta in romantic relationships (observations that he has made in the charts of couples). I'd find the direct links for you, but I have to run. There should also be a thread at http://youngastrologers.com/phpBB2/ .

All I found worth mentioning was :::

"VESTA tends to be an idealizing influence, shared ideals,
and the warm fuzzy feeling and comraderie around shared
values and ideals, and building something in life based on
those. Vesta oppositions deal with opposition to and
frustration of one's ideals."
www.astrologynow.com/carolwillis/Synastry.txt

"Vesta:

Vesta asteroid is the "keeper of the flame," guardian of the truth and other spiritual and cultural values. Vesta is of special importance to "old souls" who have a sense of mission and purpose, who "hold the space" or "create a context" for what is of great value. In synastry, Vesta is a comfortable hearth of gentle warmth and good feelings. In relocation astrology, I've observed that old souls like to be on their Vesta local space or MC lines, feel a sense of mission and purpose there, as well as a warm fuzzy enjoyment of the little things in life."

Thanks AJ. I suppose that interpreting a ASC-Vesta conjunction and a Sun-Vesta conjunction in synastry would be a positive thing..."warm fuzzies", LOL.

Hopefully I can get a hold of the book Asteriod Goddesses soon.

... yeah ... that's the same deduction I came to as well ...

By the way, my favorite interpretations of the Asteroids, and more specifically Vesta, is :::

"Vesta
How much energy do you invest in your sexuality? Do you give your all to others or hold back energy to accomplish personal goals? Are you a workaholic? Your Vesta Sign helps you define your relationship to sex and monitor your devotion to what you invest in.

In Roman mythology, Vesta is the goddess of the hearth, worshipped by Roman families as a household deity with sacred fires kept burning by virgins whose lives were devoted to tending the flame."

That's from Astrology.com, and they changed the entire format regarding the Asteroids, as far as how the interpretations were laid out in their navigation. It's kind of all screwed up... (if it's not broke, why fix it?).

Now my short & sweet interps I loved are more difficult to find. But Vesta is easy to remember because it is how much inVESTment you put into your sexuality.

Thanks again AJ - I did see that, but I get annoyed with Astrology.com so I don't rely on that site much. I wish they didn't run you through a maze of subscriptions just to get 4 sentences of an interpretation. Mucho annoying!

I got a little confused because some site seemed to suggest that where there's Vesta there's a difficulty or conflict in dealing iwth a problem, as if to suggest that Vesta was sort of an annoyance factor. But that just wasn't making sense to me.

I have Vesta at 6 Aqua, with Vertex 13 Aqua, NN 15 Aqua, and Mars 18 Aqua( all in 5th except Mars in the 6th). I have difficulties with certain Aquas (my Mars I suspect repels them) but actually a lot of Aqua Suns seem to find me very agreeable and comfortable to be around, almost liek I'm very familiar to them, so they're more open, which can be unusual for some Aqua Suns to feel toward anyone. People with *Aqua Venus* often are particualrly confortable me. It's never a terribly strong attractor, just an easy going "Hey you seem like a cool chick" thing.

Although the Vesta interps seem to vary a bit, as with all the major asteroids, I don't think there is anything inherently negative about any of them. Just push and pulls.

(agree with you about astrology.com, for the most part)
