So you are testing me today huh?? LOL!! Been a busy day!! I just finished my Piano lesson a bit ago, took a phone call and suddenly felt the urge to check in LLand!!!

And there you were!! My dear Pisces Friend from across the pond. How is your day going?? Mine is going just fabulous now!!

The Hurricane devastation is HORRIBLE!! All we had here in SW Florida was some wind and a bit of rain...but it brought back memories of last summer when Hurricane Charley came overhead. We were soooo lucky by comparison!

Those people are living (or not really living-kind of existing at this point) in a mess.
The devastation is just unreal.

How is it possible that one mere drop of water cannot permeate our human skin yet a whole group of waterdrops can sink a 100-ton CONCRETE Highway Bridge.....or take out entire towns and cities!!

Just like air...you can not hold 'air' in your hand, yet...this intangible thing called air/wind can knock out windows and blow away many, many homes...just unfathomable!!!!

What people are expressing in my area is the fact that we all would have been underwater quite easily if we had been hit. Everyone is so grateful that Katrina did not swing our way. My antique grand piano and all of my precious art would have been lost.

Truthfully, it reminds you that so many things do not really matter...material items that is...all can be gone in an instant! So many people losing their businesses, their income, their life's work....all gone. How do you pay for your mortgage...when you do not have a home, or income or any semblence of your previous existance?? HOW???

It makes me feel just overwhelmed...wow.

Of course this is as close to a Tsunami that we have ever experienced...although it pales in comparison...different parallels. But similar devastation....maybe a tad more urban here in the States than Sri Lanka. So sad....now the residents of the largest city there, New Orleans have been told they are NOT to return home...for quite some time.

I have stayed in several of the Beautiful older French-style Homes in the nice Garden District of New Orleans and cannot imagine what it would be like to lose so much history....trees, flowers...antiques that cannot be replaced...just awful.

Am so sorry to hear about the devestation going on over there! - from where i am.

Know all about the tsunami my dear, a lot of friends and I were in sri lanka on the 26th december last year at the time. but will not go there just now

I wonder how many people opened this thread and respectfully didn't reply? ha ha - you are a sweety, you know I was testing you, don't you. oNLY CAUSE i KNEW, you would pick it up, really is quite funny really.

Anyway, I know you are very tied up and concerned with things going on, obviously, along your shorelines and the poor people involved do not deserve such a pounding from the universe, but alas, we cannot halt what has been set in motion now.

Anyways. I love the fact you play piano. I almost did, but again, alas, never quite got there!

I have to say, firstly, how did you pick up this thread? even though I know the answer - but thank you for being as good as I know you are

The question or rather the thing is, I don't know if this is the best thread to go there.

All I can ask, and this is totally your call. I will appreciate fully if you are not happy with it. but would you permit a private chat. I.E via e-mail. I am not trying anything here, only it is just I don't feel totally happy putting this stuff on the site allowing total access to anybody! hence - if not, please don't worry. but trust is an important thing and gem and I have this fab pyschic link - sorry, will not disclose. but before you run off synastry charts between us, please bear in mind we live 8 thousand miles apart and P.S with total respect and politness. this thread was purely for Gem - as it said on the title????
