I am so excited about fall coming. This is pretty unusual for me, as I usually mourn the end of summer along with the rest of the world. And it's been a good summer. Well, an interesting one. So beach days are over, and the lifestyle where beer is a a staple in my diet. My legs will go white again, by December, wild sensual times and beautiful, warm evenings will soon be put away once again. And yet I am SO looking forward to the seasons changing, to chilly weather and sweaters and falling leaves. Mostly I am looking forward to the structure that life regains after august. You don't even have to be on summer vacation (I wasn't) to somehow "let go" in the summer months. I am ready for schedules and deadlines and kinds in school and all that good stuff. Is this transiting Saturn conjunct my moon and opposing my lovely Venus/Sun/Merc stellium at work? Maybe. But this thread is more about your thoughts on summer ending. How was it? Ready to move on? I am so ready for summer to be over. The last weeks of this season have presented some rather incredible challenges for me in all areas of my life. Technically Mercury went out of retrograde August 15, but this entire month has felt like I was still under the influence. Communication issues on all levels, break-ups, technology going haywire at work (creating stress for me because it’s my responsibility to keep things running around here). I’ve always loved fall – it’s by far my favorite season. It feels cleansing to me, the way a cool breeze feels after you’ve spent your day sweating, and hard at work. I breathe easier, and see my life more clearly when the cooler months set in. Fall is also a time for endings for me. It’s easier to let go of old things I’ve clung to long after their expiration date was up – easier to look to the future with more hopeful eyes. I have a good feeling about this upcoming fall. The death card in Tarot is an ideal descriptor for my summer, but with the death card comes a promise of rebirth and new beginnings. Renewal – what a beautiful word. That’s what my heart tells me awaits this fall.

I cant wait. Fall is my favorite time of the year. Summer is my least. I cant wait until its cool enough to drive with my windows down. That has to be one of my favorite feelings. its such a little thing, but it makes me really happy. haha. but its entirely too hot in tx to do that now. and i always get my best pictures in fall. its such a beautiful time, even moreso than spring when everything is growing again. I love Autumn too! You can wear pants and a T, a skirt, shorts, a sweater... and HATS!!! Okay.. that was sort of girly.. but I never claimed to be anything else.... I love the crisp feel and smell of it, the feeling that comes with it, the colours and sense of change... oh, And HAllowe'en!!!! This year might be a little strange for me, seeing as this fall I turn 29.... and so marks the age I stay with for the next many years ( so I hear) On the other hand, my daughter turns five. My son turns 11. Thats exciting stuff! Lots of good things are happening.. some have happened, other doors are opening, and I can clearly see the way the path is being paved, and the stops and starts I have already learned from. I have a feeling, true to my Capricorn Moon, I will blossom starting now. It's really great to feel hopeful! Fall marks time for that feeling of completion and more learning...........IP: Logged |

Fall is my favorite time of the year as well. I love the foliage and the sense of re-birth that comes @ this time of the year. Watching the seasons come and go makes me feel very connected to this planet we live on.Hello to all of you and I hope that Fall meets all of your expectations! ------------------ Everything that matters in our intellectual and moral life begins with an individual confronting his own mind and conscience in a room by himself. -Arthur M.
