And before the generalization police pounces, with sirens blazing, I mean this in the sense that Linda generalizes abt signs in her work. I mean, think abt it - their name is taken from the word for SAGE - wise ones. And their hunger for knowledge, their penchant for traveling and learning abt distant cultures, all signify the same. I used to think this to be true of just a handful I know, but Im slowly realizing its true for almost all of them. And not only are their good with their facts and information, they have keen, analytical minds, and because they have evolved past the few shortcomings of one of the most powerful signs of the zodiac - Scorpio, they mostly use their analytical skills for greater causes and are perhaps the first ones to jump in to defend a cause they believe in, along with their Aqua brothers and sisters. Just a thought, wonder if anyone else agrees !

I agree. My brother is a double Sag and is super smart. In recent years, he's made some stupid choices but was always in advanced placement classes in school. Would correct the teachers and find mistakes in textbooks. There were a few teachers that didnt like him so much because of that. lol

I admire the wisdom of Sagittarians. Im lucky to have one in my family, my father.

I think we can all learn something from Sagittarius...their sense of optimism, freedom, honesty, and their openness for knowledge and truth is something we can all benefit from. We can learn something wonderful from each sign.

Stellium in Sag for this Cappy. Plus an ample amount of Air influence. Sags seem to like to run ideas past me to see if they're on track with their thinking. I find myself being their cheerleader.

GO SAGGIES!!

Indeed...I think air signs get to much credit for their intelligence. Sagies, Virgos, Cappys, Pisceans, Scorps, I've met plenty of other signs who are just as smart as air signs. I know this one guy who is completely brilliant, and he has no air as I remember. He's a Virgo Sun, & ASC, with a Sagitarius Moon.

I think we all...every sign...has some wisdom...different wisdom...to share. Only by sharing, acknowledging and learning from each other can we ever be "smart"

Our 12 year old is a Sag sun with Scorpio Mercury. He's been a certified genius since he was about 18 months. LOL. Have you ever seen a Sag Sun/Scorpio Mercury stare at someone who (s)he thought was acting foolish or ignorant. Yikes.

Seriously he's very bright, scary smart.

The sign of Sagitarrius is endowed with wisdom, but not necessarily Sags themselves. I've known so pretty foolish Sags in my day. No offense to Linda, but I feel she was being a little pollyannish about subscribing the term "sage" to Sags in general...I mean, Stalin was a Sag wasn't he?

I agree with Daydreamer - all the signs have their own wisdom. A wise person would seek out the wisdom in each.

Stalin was born Dec. 21st, though I've seen his name in famous Capricorns before.

I think there's at least the potential for good and bad in all the signs.

Part of me wants to concur, though, on Sags not always being that bright, but then one of my most brilliant friends is a left-handed Sag with Scorp ascendant.

My birthday is on december 21st, and I'm not the least bit tyrannical, right gemininymph?

The downside of the sadge wisdom is the constant need to be the intelligent authority on any subject being discussed. I think the word pedantic was originally invented to describe a sadge.

Yeah maya and it shows. Nice that you had to have your Scorp respond for you in SU when I asked how you were doing.

This Sag doesn't care about the praise after being told I DID NOT RESPOND to your e-mails fast enough. I am mortally offended over that.

Sorry Pid, I cant stop anyone from expressing their opinion or encourage them to say what I want them to say, especially a self-willed Aqua-Scorp. Im sorry that you are going through so much, but since I was literally away, I was not aware of what was going on. Hope things work out for you, I know they will because you are an uber strong person.

I wanna revive this thread which died an untimely death So what do you guys think? Am I right or what? I know Pix will agree, since she has a super-cool, super-smart little archer at home And BR, I was counting on you responding and although its not a compulsion, I would like to know what prompted you to post that monstrosity while referring to that sweet, strong trooper VTT.

"all the signs have their own wisdom"
I agree

As for the sag being smart - personally, i'd rather be smarter about personal matters, especially acting on them a little less tactfully, a little more timely, and a lot more courageously (ala sit focus sit) in some cases rather than having retained and announced all that other stuff that may spew from my mouth, hands, whatever. most of the knowledge i know, i've come across while trying to find "obvious" answers to personal questions. unfortunately, rather than retain the answers to those personal questions, the other stuff which may make me seem smart were retained, it has, in fact, made me dumb, aloof, and detached on an interpersonal level. satisfactory action behind the knowledge is also another story, especially for self. where retaining knowledge can be quick and assertive, acting on it is littered with more questions that have "obvious" answers. the cycle repeats itself.

When they're in a philosophical mood...YES

When they're in a "I'll run around butt naked for no particular reason" mood(don't ask)...NO
