Hey all! I have always been able to hear really good, but the last four years or so, I hear too good. The sound of my husband and son eatting is enough to drive me batty. I am in turn driving them crazy, I remember reading about this, maybe Mercury? What area of my chart should I look at? Thanks

It's actually your nerves - you're probably overextending yourself and have been dealing with a lot of stress. It seems like it's your hearing, but it is your nerves: they're are fatigued and cannot handle the constant stimulation that comes from hearing.

This is a very Mercurial issue - I have this problem too, and I'm very Mercurial. I cannot handle the constant stream of noise during the day, and need to spend part of the day wearing earplugs. I even need to sleep with earplugs because the slightest noise keeps me awake. I have really good hearing, and when I'm fatigue it becomes hypersensitive and even painful.

Another thing that helps your nerves recuperate (asid form getting uch need *quiet*) is added more calcium to your diet. Your nerves use a lot of calcium, and can exhaust your body's supplyof daily calcium when stressed. This is particualrly a problem for women. I take 1500 mg of calcium a day, plus eat calcium rich food daily.

Oh, yes, I've had lots of stimulation these years, one being I'm a Taurus married to an Aquarian. hehe And now have three children. I never drink milk, omg my mom told me the other day to take calcium, and actually bought me a bottle. I'm gonna do it, starting right now. Can you take those with coffee? hehe Another possible source for over-stimulating yours-elf. After I take the calcium, I shall go out to the balcony with Parker's or LG and chase this mercurian bother away.

Yeah, I can relate to that too.... I hate it when people chew with their mouths open -- something kids are really prone to. Constant struggle at the dinner table.

Is this really a mercurial issue?? Never thought of that before.. Interesting. I'm a Virgo with 3 other planets in it. Hmmm. I've been sleeping with earplugs all my adult life.

And no, lLove, you shouldn't take the calcium with caffeine, it destroys about a third of the calcium, I think, or else prevents it from being absorbed, one or the other. Also chocolate does the same, so forget about chocolate milk, or else, drink a lot of it, haha. And btw, no more than 450 units of calcium can get absorbed at one time, I read somewhere. So, no point taking 2 of those horsepills at a time, instead split them up.

Thanks ya'll. I think it is stress. My 3yr old Gemini stays up till ten now a days, and my babe gets up early. I have no time for quiet. I'm gonna wake up 3yr old when babe wakes up, and they can go to bed at the same time, equals quiet for me. Will that help negate the mecurial inclinations? I looked at Mercury and didn't see anything in my chart, but I didn't look for Virgo placements. Yeah to you guys.

YES, I think this is very Mecurial.. Do you have a gemini moon?

My mum does, and she picks on things like that all the time.. If someone's chewing near her (mainly if she isn't)..she'll notice it and it will annoy her. She wouldn't say anything to other ppl, but she often has said it to me and my step dad.. It just really bothers her for some reason. The other thing that really bothers her is people flicking their nails.. or clicking their fingers (and she'll hear this miles away lol)..I think it has the effect of a piece of chalk screeching on a blk board...to her

Don't forget to check the houses as well.. If you have a few planets in your 3rd house.. that could also make you mercurial.

My boyfriend also has that problem. He is very influenced by Virgo!! His Sun, Venus, Mercury and Saturn and (N.Node) are all in Virgo and boy is he just the Virgo poster child.... To name a few examples of how noise bothers him, he can't stand me chewing gum because of the sound, so he always insists that I spit it out, he sleeps with ear plugs and his phone on silent or turned off because he gets sooo mad if he woken up (he can never go back to bed), he doesn't like to be around my more energetic, "loud" friends, and he oftens picks up on sounds that I don't even hear and is like "what IS that, its soo annoying!" So there you have it, its Mercurial...hahaa at least in his case

I just remembered about three years ago, my hometown of Kokomo, IN, had a mysterious hum that many people could hear, especially at night. The hum kept them up and caused sleeplessness and other health problems. I lived in northern IN at the time, but I was in town visiting one night, and I heard a noise like a truck idling, I couldn't sleep, and thought why don't they turn the truck off! I finally got up and looked and the street was quiet, no cars or trucks running. I finally was able to sleep after many hours, and the next morning the sound was gone. Atleast for me. The papers had numerous articles and research on the hum. It was thought one of the mining companies in town or Haynes International machinery was causing it. It was never settled, but I have not heard of it again, so I surmise the sound quit bothering people. How odd, we know what mercury does in retro-grade, what is mercury up to?

I have Venus in Gemini, which house is yours in? Just thought a place to look since we had it in common.
