Could it be because she is an Illuminati or because of her chart?

LMAO... I don't work for the military - I never have. You couldn't pay me enough to enlist.

But hey, if you are getting defensive over it then you must be suffering from something that makes you feel like you are being attacked. I can't imagine why... hmmmm....

Look who's talking about getting defensive Lmfao. Besides looking like a man you have some serious issues. You have the nerve to come into a post I posted about astrology and start some stupid **** as if Barbara Bush is your mother or something.

So don't talk to me about getting defensive.

Damn trolls.

That's right Mystic. IF you can't say anything intelligent come up with a lie. If you think I look like a man, then you must need some prescription glasses. LOL... I have been called many things but looking like a man has only been something I have heard from you.

Then again, I can imagine how someone like me intimidates certain people. I've been blessed with looks, a personality and a brain. Sorry it bothers you so much

And for the record- I would come into ANY post where someone deems another person "evil" when that person has neither killed mass populations or harmed a population. You of all people should know that everyone has a tendancy to say stupid things - hell you wrote the book on that didn't you? "Mystic Gemini's caustic witicisms - an essay in non sequitor musings".

LMAO... I could care less of you are talking about a liberal or a democrat- evil is a strong word and you based it on NOTHING but a chart. LOL... you couldn't even offer a brief interpretation of your own. LOL.. that so TOO FUNNY, but not unexpected.

Oh please look whos trying to be fair now.

Even in global unity you always get all defensive when anyone even speaks about the evil Bush family.

So quit trying to change your story around.

Have a nice day Mr.

Is this because of that awful thing she said about the New Orleans dizaster?

well, she Barbara Bush, did have some very insensitive remarks in the past.
Like for the New Orleans disaster her comment was "The people of New Orleans lucked out, I mean they were poor anyway."
and when she was asked about not viewing the caskets of the dead soilders returning from Iraq, the former first lady replied - "I am not going to bother my beautiful mind looking at that."
wouldn`t call her evil but definitely not a flower

I don't think it was about the disaster itself. She made a stupid comment about the people being better off. I think what she was trying to say - which if course is just me putting words into her mouth and divining intention was -

The actual comment was:

"What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them." She commented during a radio interview with the American Public Media program "Marketplace."

So if she is voicing an OPINION based on conversations with people in HOUSTON that were relocated- who is to really blame?

If you and say, 100 people told your Senator that you were happier now in a relocated zone, versus the squalor you lived in before- and they voiced your opinion- are they doing you a disfavor?

Again, some people were living in such terrible conditions that they didn't have electricity, running water or even adequate food on the table.

But it is much easier to vilify someone you hate anyway. Had Clinton said this would I be posting "Oh he is so evil.. how terrible!!" No, it is a comment based on observations and talking to people.

Only idiots keep trying to make it something it was not.

It would be a different story if she had said

"well, the poor in NO did nothing to help the country so think of this as a good flush".

Give me a break!!!

pidaua-

they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality.

I am sure that the people she spoke to were touched and overwhelmed by the famous Texan hospitality. After having your world fall apart, all kind gestures assume an even greater importance than normal. Plus they were speaking to the President's mother. That may have had something to do with it, but I'm just speculating there.

I am sure that it is difficult for anyone living in relatively affluent conditions (as I imagine you are- and I am as well) to imagine anyone wanting to stay in some shack with no running water that they happen to call their "home". But from my experiences in Central America- with people literally living in shacks with no running water or electricity- the concept of home is very powerful, and people's attachment to a shack can be as powerful as someone else's attachment to their beautiful childhood house. What is the saying- one man's trash, another man's treasure?

I myself was a Bosnian refugee in 1996. Obviously, moving to Canada improved my “living conditions” immensely. But my hometown was under siege for three years. My family and I lost our whole lives, in a sense. If at the time I met Jean Chretien I’m sure I would have told him I want to stay in Canada and that it’s wonderful. But for him to reply- well, this all worked out well for you, didn’t it?- would have been quite atrocious.

I think that Mrs. Bush's comment is a beautiful little analogy of many prominent Western values- mainly that economic prosperity is the height of human achievement.

Of course I think it’s wonderful that these people were saved and managed to relocate- and that they feel they’ve been treated with great hospitality. But their lives were washed away- how could she make such a ridiculously insensitive comment? And I hope you don’t answer that anyone can make a gaffe. She’s in a position where one does not make such gaffes. It’s unacceptable. And if it was a slip- all the worse- and more revealing about her values. What was it that journalist said- “I think you’ve been wealthy for too long, Mrs. Bush”. Something along those lines.

Lastly,
the fact that it took a natural disaster for these people to be “saved” from the conditions they were living in is sad in itself.

I wouldn't call her a flower. A demon is more like it.

Anyone who has the nerve to even say negative things about being dying deserves to be murdered.

I don't give a damn what anyone thinks.

I would never feel sorry for someone like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if shes Satan.

You said it beautifully, Whiterabbit! I agree completely. And I am sorry that you had to go through such upheaval. (spelling?) The "average" person, average in the sense that they were never uprooted, can't comprehend these things... Or so we think.. But the tremendous outpouring of kindness, in hospitality and also in money raised (beyond what was raised after 9/11, I heard?) disproves this theory. Every school child in America, every family, it seems, and a lot of very wealthy people are all digging into their pockets, because they all feel this grief. Apparently there is something to be said for not being born into the Bush family. Imagination doesn't run rampant amongst the Kennebunkport crowd. What did this Texas governor years ago say about doblya's dad when HE was running for prez? Ann Richards, oh yeah, that's it, she said George Bush (senior) was "born with a silver foot in his mouth." Apparently that seems to runs in the family... That one-liner, btw., headlines all over the country, lol!( I think, Richards is a Virgo, if I remember correctly, I was pleased about that.)

it's ridiculous to fight over this. regardless of how she meant it, or didn't mean it. she still said it, and do you think most of america was there to interview the people aside her in Houston if she DID do so? of course not, so its bound to be interpreted another way. she's just such a cocky idiot for thinking she could get away with it with smiles and pats on the back. oh well, sucks for her it just makes her son look worse. cuz now i think...what kind of person must have bush's parents been and just what ideas are they putting in his head..
