sweet,These charts are created using different methods, so they get different results. According to Bob Marks' site:
quote:
The Davison horoscope (sometimes called the Relationship horoscope) is set up for the midpoint between two birth dates, times, and places...A composite [chart] is constructed by finding the midpoints [between two planets or points] between the two birth horoscopes.
http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/relationshipdavidson26.0.htm So the Davison horoscope actually creates a chart for a third "person" at a particular time, date, and place. This "person" is the identity of the relationship.
The composite chart simply takes the planet or point that is midway between the two people's planets or points. So if you have Mars at 10 Virgo and he has Mars at 0 Virgo, your composite chart would have Mars at 5 Virgo (5 Virgo is halfway between 10 Virgo and 0 Virgo).
Personally, composite charts and their "midpoint" method have always made more sense than creating a chart for a third person...but there are many astrologers who use the Davison chart and get good results from it. Use the chart style which works best for YOU. But only use ONE...otherwise using two completely different charts will confuse you!
Explaining and suggesting,
