What did your first (or 2nd) Saturn Return bring for you? How did it challenge you?

Yes, I am also waiting for it

There's an interesting article on Saturn return there, it is even kind of optimistic:

....almost there. Next year.

26t,
Saturn in Leo 24* / 7th house

I noticed awhile back that Saturn stations on my natal Saturn and goes Rx, then comes back for a second hit.....so it's like I have two Saturn returns. Lucky me. teehee.

No, you will have only one!
All slow planets (Neptune, Saturn, Uranus ect) go retrograde most of the time. No matter how many times Saturn stations and then goes retrograde, Saturn Return is considered to happen (or Saturn Return event though if you have lots of aspects to natal Saturn, multiple events are possible) when it goes retrograde for the last time and then stations on your natal Saturn and then goes further. (the Saturn return event is usually 'activated' by transits of the fast planets e.g. Mercury, Venus and Mars etc)

This rule should also be applied for all slow-moving planet transits.

Hope, you feel better now!

Hi Peri, I'm strongly influenced by Saturn anyway, so I'm not shook. lol Nothing new here....or nothing I cant handle anyway.

Thanks for the info . I read somewhere that if a planet goes retrograde after setting up a return chart, that once it goes direct and makes up the 'new return chart', that THAT is the one that should be read. The first return chart is in effect only until the second one begins. Then it is null and you go by the new one. I believe I read in one of Celeste Teal's books......I'll try to find out. But it makes sense to me. What do you think?

Yes of course!

Solar return chart..I totally forgot about it!
Yes, for something (life-altering) to happen there must be three indications there: by transits, by solar return and by progressions! Dunno what Saturn Return has to do with it though

When I try to combine them all I feel dizzy, lol.

It would be cool if you could find that return chart thing by Celeste Teal.

I am also Taurus, Cappy Rising, Uranus on MC, Saturn in VII

Hey cool! But no, I didnt say Solar Return. And I believe the book was 'Predicting Events With Astrology'. In it, she has a whole chapter dedicated to each planetary return. And yep, I've read that there needs to be at LEAST three indicators of an event (usually in different kinds of charts) for it to manifest. Dizzying indeed!! It makes sense to me that if a planet retrogrades and then comes back to that point (where it conj. the natal planet) - that when it does, it starts a new return chart to go by. I need to get that book again. She's great.

Where and in what sign is your Moon, btw?

Hey Peri and Taurus I guess you both have been thinking about your Saturn Returns also! Peri, you were born slightly before me, so your Saturn is maybe about 11.5 degrees Leo? I have noticed that for this particular Saturn run, it progresses up to about 11.25 degrees Leo, then goes retrograde to 4.5 degres Leo, for a 2nd run next year!

I like to think of retrograde motions as something similar to retracing ones path. We tread carefully, gather experience, then follow our footprints backwards to intuit greater understanding of our origins.

Another interesting point - Cosmologically, Saturn has begun to emit strong x-rays recently. Much like Earth is experiences dramatic geological changes, so too are all the other planets in our Solar System (and Sun too of course). So, even scientifically, Saturns effect on Earth is more accentuated than it has been for a long time.

Oh, and Peri, have you ever read "A Hero of Our Time", by the Russian author Mikhail Lermontov? The main character in this book, Pechorin, holds many Saturnian-like qualities. His own inner struggle to differentiate between right and wrong, compassion and playful maliciousness is a fascinating journey.

Hi, just joined up. Great to be here.

These are the transits for my impending Saturn Return;

Saturn opposition Mars, 6 Sep 2005 - 15 June 2006
Saturn conjunction Saturn, 8 Nov 2005 - 25 July 2006
Jupiter conjunction Uranus, 17 Dec 2005 - 28 Aug 2006
Jupiter trine Moon, 18 Dec 2005 - 28 Aug 2006
Uranus trine Uranus, 3 March 2006 - 30 Jan 2007
Uranus conjunction Moon, 4 March 2006 - 31 Jan 2007

I'm particularly concerned about the Saturn vs Uranus strain I'll be facing with these combinations from December 'til July, especially since i've natal Saturn Sq. Uranus, but I guess i'll have to 'roll with it' (as most SR readings tell me).

Can anyone see any other difficulties in the phase of these transits?

Thanks,

S_T

T26,

Ohh I see you meant planetary return! I've heard about this method of prediction but I have never tried to draw other planets return charts except Sun and Moon. I haven't found much info on this method. It would be great if you post some links or any info on planetary returns.
My Moon conj Neptune is in Sag in XI house

Betelgeuse,

My Saturn is at 10'30 Leo (I am 1 month older than you.) Right now transiting Saturn squares my natal Uranus and Mercury I've started having problems with my neck and spine.(Merc is VI house ruler) but I think the most interesting is still ahead!

Of course I read "A Hero of Our Time" it's a set book at schools It's classics.

I am also always trying to guess the characters' sun/moon/asc signs when I read books, it is so funny

Where did you read about Saturns effect on Earth? Could you please post the link, I'd like to know more about it, seems very interesting!

There is an article here that describes most changes, although I first remember reading it on the BBC news Science section, however I cannot find it in the archives.

It turns out that I met my current boyfriend at my exact week of Saturn Return. Is this necessarily a bad thing?

My Saturn Return (in Taurus) was a postive experience...actually it was quite wonderful, come to think of it! Maybe it helped that my Saturn is in an earth sign but for me, the Return was very stabilizing and things really fell into place in my life. I got centered and grounded. I got practical. I got organized. I would describe my Saturn Return as being the time when my focus was on building a new foundation for my life. And that's what I did - I built a new, very solid, very durable foundation and structure for my life. Now I'm going through the Saturn square Saturn transit which is all about the foundation/structure (built during the Saturn Return) being tested and challenged. And I'm happy to say, in this transit, I've discovered that the foundation and structure that was created during my Return was truly built to last. The structure holds up and has endured very well.

So take heart, those of you who worry that the Saturn Return might be a negative and trying time. I found it to be a very positive time. When you work on building a new foundation for your life it can be an amazing creative journey.

So many things have changed in my life during the past couple of years when my Saturn in Leo was in full charge.

I broke up a long and dysfunctional relationship, quit my job, sold my apartment and moved abroad. It wasn't easy. No, it wasn't!!!

Then, on the exact day of my saturn return, I met my current boyfriend and everything seems to be fine so far, that everything is peaceful at least, which is very new to me.

Hey is Betelgeuse still lurkin around somewhere? Hello there B if yer listenin!

Saturn14*Leo here. I had been totally fine and dandy till this last retro when it stopped 4* away from conjuncting my nSaturn again. Delayed reaction or something...

I feel like i'm moving through the 1st layer of the 7 layers of hell right now! I am planning on quitting my job June 29th to do something risky. But i'll be following my dreams and ridding myself of the societal overlay. It feels like the programing in my DNA & lineage is crying out in protest. Some people whom are close to me are not supporting me and telling me i'm crazy. These people are the ones I thought would be the ones to stand by me, so i'm a bit taken aback! But i'm going to do my thing anyways.

I am scared to leave the comfort of a routine well paying job but I just can't let that stop me anymore. Saturn is in my 2nd house so I'm seeing how the value I put on $ is coming up to be released. It's either sooner or later that I will have to work on this, i'm picking sooner. I am putting the value of myself 1st now that I've made the decision to go and do my art and be happy.

So anyways, it's been an interesting process to say the least. I will be happy when Saturn exits Leo completely

Hey Hexxie, delayed response I know! This is only one of two forums I visit and I recently cancelled my membership at the other one. So I thought I'd pop in and have a browse. Well since you wrote your last comment, your wish is granted - Leo has moved into Virgo How does that feel? Did you notice any significant changes in your life? It sounds like there have been some pretty incredible transformations for people in this thread regarding saturn returns. My own experiences sound even less remarkable by comparison!

Around the time of my SR, I moved to a different part of the country to spend more time with my friends. Incidentally, my SR was in my 11th house, and the choice to move was a combination of inner desire and conscious decision to get the most of an 11th house return. After spending a year with them, I have returned to the sea at the opposite end of the country again. Both existances are really like polar opposites, one being chaotic and action packed, the other being peaceful and contemplative.

I think the biggest change I saw in myself was when I began re-reading some of my older forum posts a few days ago. It almost felt like I was reading a completely different person! My mind travelled back in time and I remembered the feelings and thoughts I was experiencing a year or two ago. So much has changed internally. Many ideas I possessed two years ago have grown into something more real, whilst other ideas have dissipated like a morning mist. It seems that the SR has been like a Spring clean for me, ridding me of much of my inner junk, whilst nourishing the more valuable facets.

One thing that concerned me a little is my apparent loss of idealistic values on many fronts! I read some of my former posts on the other site I visit, and I was reading the voice of a young, exuberant and idealistic young man. A little naievity also shone through but on the whole I seemed to be very whimsical in my expressions. It was both refreshing and disconcerting simultaneously. What has happened to some of those features of mine?! I've made definite gains in some areas of my being, however, I am not yet confident that the gains outweigh the losses.

It seems I still have some work to do. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

And where the buggar is IQHunk? I cannot see if he has posted here in recent months.

That happened for me too. But don't worry, those aspects of yourself will return. It's a journey. Right now certain parts of yourself are more prominent, while other parts seem to have disappeared or receded. But those parts of yourself are not lost. You'll reconnect to the more whimsical, childlike side of yourself in time and then the work will be on integrating all these different sides of yourself.

Hey all. Saturn is still in my 1st house although it has left Leo. It will be moving into my 2nd house in December. When I look back to when Saturn first moved into Leo in July 05, I literally felt changes occurring within me. I made one of the biggest decisions in my life and that was to have a child. It has been a tough ride, but I wouldn't trade it in for the world. I also feel that all the years leading up to this time I never really put myself first and thought about what makes me happy. I've found that when I talk about making major moves with my life, people seriously doubt and continue to doubt my capabilities. I've let go of dead end abusive relationships which tore away at my self esteem. I found that I had become dependent on other people and during this time I began to find strength and courage to believe in myself. Also, I am no longer listening to other people but listening the voice inside my head and making decisions based on how I feel. I could go on, but that's the jist of it.

Hello there my Gemini friend! Glad to read you are well

I haven't had the time to stop in a post here much lately. But I do pop in from time to time.

My Saturn Return hit me hard toward the end there. In fact I feel as if it has opened up some sort of 'can o worms' that is still wide open. Some sort of portal where everything ...repeat EveryThing... that I have expected and planned for has turned upside down, as in not gone through!! ...I'm hurting and learning and dieing and burning... all while still inhabiting this clay pitcher in this dense 3rd dimension. (Is this what they really mean by Life Sentence?! LOL) Although I am going through the ringer right now, due to the doors my SR opened, I have a deep knowing that I will be ok...that I am ok, it's just the illusion looks tweaked right now like a semi-bad acid trip. I cannot as of yet hold any vibration for long, whether positive or negative. Sleeping like 10 hrs a night. Can barely leave the house right now so luckily I do not have a job at this time. I feel totally weird cuz I have no frame of reference for 'Me' anymore right now. Awww well...This too shall pass. I will just keep smiling because I asked for it

Ohh and Saturn in Virgo seems better so far. Only, my IC is 11*Virgo and I have yet to read any descriptions on what that crossing will entail. I imagine it to further reconstruct my inner world in a very meticulous detailed big way!

Hey Peri! (I sounded like a Warlord who needed his nappy changing earlier didnt I?!)

Tigerlily, the best way to learn about the journey is to ask someone whos been there, so I appreciate your words.

KayLibra, what you have accomplished is absolutely fantastic! Letting go of negative influences in your life can only come when you know yourself deeply. Saturn has enjoyed his time in your first house Im sure, because you have obviously listened to his wisdom. My brother had a similar experience around his SR. Natally he has Saturn conjunct Sun. He transformed his life from something of despair into true happiness. He met his wife and became a father. Ironically, the guy whom most thought would struggle in this life until his dying days, is the guy who others look to for warmth and respect.

Hexxie Good to see you again! I can definitely relate to what you have said. I too sleep far too much! Especially considering that I've spent large periods of my life needing very little. It just seems that my energy levels are on a constant ebb and flow. There are so many things I know I should be doing, but I'm not. I've questioned my lack of willpower and motivation, yet they are things that were abundant for me previously. I have virtually stopped writing, even though I am recieving some of my greatest ideas at the moment. The word 'tomorrow' seems to be almost a motto for me currently!

I dont want to fall into my groove just yet. So many men/women reach the pivotal moment in their lives where they are suddenly defined forever. Their form is solidified, and the more youthful qualities they possess become distant memories of the past. Maybe its my desire to remain indefinable that keeps my nature in a state of flux right now. I know more about myself now than Ive ever known. But theres a possibility that by trying to figure out the mystery of life, Im actually denying myself the possibility of living it.

Hopefully, we can all keep each other updated on this thread. It helps to share the experiences. Hang in there Hexxie, although I dont need to tell you that, you are very determined
