Hello.

For some time now I have been suspicious of my Moon doing something with Uranus under the covers. BUT- they are at least about seven degrees too far even for a wide orb trine.

Just wondering- can we allow more degrees for the outer planets in aspect to the personals? It makes so much sense to me, I almost feel that maybe my birth time is a bit off and the Moon is in later degrees, in which case it would make a nice trine with Uranus.

Any thoughts? Thank you, this would explain a lot for me and also excuse a lot of my behaviour.

Typicall, the closer the planet the smaller the orb. The most important aspects in your chart will fall within 4-5 degree orbs. A 7 degree orb between moon and uranus isn't something too powerful in your chart.

Noel Tyl has written a nice article for reference on the orbs:

Hope this is additional help for you!

What BR said is pretty much true unless one of the planets is very important in your chart for one reason or another..for instance if Uranus was a singleton.

I have Venus opp Pluto (singleton) at 6 deg, but the interpretation is quite true for me. Pluto is also on SN, Venus on NN.. and my chart is in a bowl shape, which means the planets occupy half the chart..the Venus/Pluto opp completes my half circle.
http://bobmarksastrologer.com/TOClessons.htm Bob Marks talks about finding the most important planet based on chart shape..so that's something else to look for with your Uranus or Moon

If the planets conjunct your Nodes or house cusps that could make them more important as well, specially if it's ASC or DC

I like what Noel Tyl says. I do think that wholisitcally everything is in aspect within the chart, and that means everything's pretty relative. Orbs swear as guideline, but shouldn't be used like dogma.

I have had people tell me my wide orb between my ASC and Pluto means Pluto in my chart has less influence on my ASC than someone with a tighter conjunction. Yet you try telling my Pluto to behave like it isn't in a 0 degree conj with my ASC! I'm a Pluto rising person in spades, orbs be d*mned. The wider conj doesn't seem to soften that fact in the least. There's reasons why (my theory) Pluto behaves like that in my chart, but that's a long story - suffice to say you have to look at my chart holisitcally in understand why Pluto gets to throw its weigth around my ASc so much.
