oddball unregistered	posted October 16, 2005 07:50 PM Love this forum. Don't know as much as I could but I'm always watching people and learning. Anyways, I've noticed a little thing with Geminis... We always start out close. I see them, they see me. We talk. We're instantly friends. Then we get to know each other, spend a lot of time together. We have lots of fun. After a while, an discussion may come up, and they like to do a little dance around my head. They'll change the subject, give some other person's viewpoint, or do something else to irritate me when I say THIS is how it is. They just seem to vacillate back and forth and never make up their mind. Not like libra though. They HAVE opinions about certain things but they keep changing their minds. Plus they think superficially (i know i know, i can hear hisses). They play pingpong with their brain. I insist, and mention to them the fact that they're beating around the bush and it aint cute anymore (sorry, I may offend people, but that IS how I see it). We stick around a while longer, then they disappear, usually for good. They come up with terrible excuses for why we don't spend time anymore. Sometimes they come back to say hi, but thats it. With a Aqua moon, Scorp Mars and Cancer rising, my opinion would be that you come across as controlling and judgemental once people get to know you. Whatever. BTW, your generalization (or "observations") about Geminis aren't cute anymore, either. Generalizations are ALWAYS logical fallacies. ALWAYS. I have a particular disliking for sag males in general, because what ive ntoiced is that both Geminis and Sags have a very different approach to the intellect. I dont mean to sound superior by saying that Gemini rules the intellect, but astrologically Gemini , and mercury, ARE symbolic of the mind. Although sags generally represent expansion, sometimes they can be almost nazi-ish in their insistence that people see things their way. Geminis can be pretty darn annoying too, insisting that people understand where they are coming from, when sometimes they dont understand it themselves. All i can say is that having been in the debate team in high school all four years (and did pretty well, the other two members on my team were an Aries guy and a Cancer), i see Sags are very intelligent but not very good in making their point. Maybe because Sag rules expansion, philosophy, learning and journeys--both spiritual and physical, while Geminis rule communication and logic. Ideally, the two combined would make a well-learned communicator. However, most sags are pitifully bad at expressing themselves--sorry, but they really can be repulsive communicators. They will laugh in your face, yell at you, be rude, inappropriate, cruel, and crude. As you can tell also, I Didnt like your generalizations. btw dont blame ur scorpio influence for your dislike of geminis. I have a heavily scorp chart (moon conj saturn and pluto in scorpio), but i have a strong dislike for sags, so go figure? Love SG IP: Logged
SecretGardenAgain unregistered	posted October 16, 2005 08:18 PM btw oddball i have two more things to add: you say that initially geminis and u get along great but afterwards they really annoy you. i think that geminis are pretty much, what you never see, is what you get. they are not as simple as to understand in the first meeting either, so i dont see how you could assume that you understand them when u first meet them, then THEY change on you. rather, i think it is YOU that is assuming they are a certain way in the beginning, then finding out that your assumptions were wrong. Just like Geminis dont walk around with signs saying "Neurotic multiple personality here", Sags also don't walk around with their razor sharp tongues hanging out of their mouths for all to see. Only time revelas their vices as well. secondly, i think the title to the thread is pretty obviously answered: No all geminis are not like this. Did you seriously think you were ever going to get a yes on that? First of all, is it even possible for all the Geminis in the world to agree on one thing? No. Love SG IP: Logged

A Gemini is never the same person as he is today or tomorrow for that matter. Although I agree with Nympho's assesment that you may be more "controlling"...I think you're just more straight-forward than Gemini. I like you, have an Aquarius moon & Fire sun (Aries) but my rising is Gemini so I really never have an emotional/intense reaction to Gems as you maybe do cuz you got some strong water in your chart. Though i dont feel the need to be so harsh on you..we all have our opinions..and for me to say that i often find sag men very attractive initially i often find them too controlling and split..and of course this wouldnt be directed to all sag males.. so maybe these geminis have a similar feeling and thats why they disappear..and not everyone is so blunt to tell others exactly why they no longer wish to talk to someone but prefer to beat around the bush so to speak. All friendship dont last forever some just days, months,few years...but all are here to teach us something...question is are we taking in those lessons? ------------------ Some people weave burlap into the fabric of our lives, and some weave gold thread. I'm a Capricorn, with a Sag stellium (three planets in Sag -Mercury, Venus, and Neptune), and a Gemini ascendant. That is to say I'm fairly highly influenced by both signs in question. Oddball, you're quickly becoming the king of terrible generalizations, aren't you? I agree with SGA -it's nothing at all to do with Scorp in your chart. It is quite simply your Sag sun in my opinion. The descriptions for my Sag placements say that I'm expansive and philosophical, and ALSO that I'm not good with details. That is a very correct statement. I've got other placements to compensate for that (Virgo), but it's true that I don't aim to dissect every little thing about a subject in the vast majority of cases. Geminis, on the other hand, DO get into the details. They get into the details in alarming ways. I've read that there is no faster information gatherer that Geminis, and this may very well be true. So between one who has an over abundance of information to inform an opinion (Gemini), the other who skips the details and focuses on the big picture, yeah, there's going to be a different method of coming to a conclusion. Gem and Sag are opposites, and therefore naturally attracted to one another to some degree, but as with all opposites there's a completely different and opposite manner of doing things internally, which can ultimately be incompatible. I like astrology, but I prefer to watch people rather than read astro books and I come up with a jigsaw puzzle from what I see. And yes I know my generalizations suck, but astrology is still a new interest of mine. So forgive me. Oh, and Gem. Nymph, you take things WAAAY to personally. There is no need to be nasty to people, not just me but others as well, when they inadvertently pierce you. I don't think it is that we change our minds so much as that we tend to see everything from everyones point of veiw. so sometimes I have found when i am talking to others it may seem like I keep being wishy washy about something, but really I am just vocally running through all possible P.O.V's.We don't play ping pong with our brains, its just that they go so fast when we are trying to get out ideas that whoever we are talking to can't see all the ideas and thoughts that are running through our brains at one time, so it seems really fractured and scattered to anyone else, but to us it is one stream of thought. I personally can never quit get my mind to stop or slow down , so specially when I am in a conversation with some and we are really getting into it I can jump to lots of different topics and trains of thought, but to me they are all entertwined. We aren't trying to side step anything in the conversation or change the subject just to irritate someone, we are just following our natural stream of thinking. IP: Logged

Gemini's will never back out of a fight, but unlike Aries they fight with words and psychologically try to hurt you. I know I don't have enough verbal finesse to deal with them when this happens, so I generally tend to do this around people they know. And when they do this, I laugh in their face and imitate them. Gemini's friends laugh. Then I laugh. Gemini gets madder. I imitate em some more. Usually this goes on 'till gemini falls apart and pops me in the nose. Now everything is even, we're cool. IP: Logged

Male geminis are real fruitcakes, but great convesationalists- not as much bitchiness as the females. Taureans do this as well, probably more than geminis. More than anything I hate the idiots who fall for it. People can't resist their biological instincts to favouring attractive people. Thats why ugly kids are never spoiled as much as cute kids. ROFL. I have a completely different idea of my double Gem friend's personality now, than I did when I first met her. When I first met her, I didn't really like her..I didn't dislike her either, but i thought she was a bit shallow and ditzy. As i got to know her I've completely changed my mind. She's a very good friend and I know I can count on her. She isn't shallow at all, it's just the way she came accross. It's strange to think back on when I first met her, because it was years ago..and my opinion of her has changed so much. I think it's a good lesson in being patient with people, and sticking around for a while..because you can't really know someone or judge them on first impressions. Oddball, I made a thread on oppositions a while ago and mentioned Sag/Gems as well. I think it's interesting how similar opposite pairs can seem to others, while they feel as though they are very different and can't get along. If that person doesn't really try to be your friend than let him/her go. There are little games and big games, and the ones who play little games always take themselves very seriously. I agree Geminis mimic and react, but it's a good idea not to provoke anyone, because that person can actually get very angry and hurt towards someone else other than you.
