Are you a person who likes to dress up for special occasions? Do you wear satin, silk, or velvet?

I need your opinion on a business idea. Right now I sell artwork but in the winter it been turning to bedding, drapery, silk papering on the walls, mainly because it's easier and the work can be done faster. Work has been good. Lately I have been asked to add on silk clothing but it's too costly. I did see these outfits and considered sewing a few in satin, or silk in the same style. The look has to be very out there because the same people who paper their walls with baby blue silk want flash.

I do not have this kind flash being a Taurus/6th house sun, plus I work with lawyers part time so my perspective is coloured by the Leos I know at work (the flashy ones who encourage me). Now my look is looking very Leo.
I need more insights by men and women.

I have been sewing all day but keep getting jammed up by indecision. I was working on something like this femme fatale line but is it boring? http://pinupgirlclothing.com/pinupgirlclothing/maredrbypinu.html

Thank you,
Natasha

Yes, I'm someone that likes to dress up for special occasions (or sometimes even normal ones). I tend to prefer velvet or silk. I'm not too big on Satin - it's too shiny and showy for me.

I love that line! And no it's definitely not boring. I'd say it's sexy without taking that flying leap into the slutty department. I'm a big fan of semi alternative clothing with flare.

It's great that you are into sewing - my best female friend (who is also a Taurus) is designing rave and ren faire gear. She's amazingly talented. I wonder if creativity in sewing is a common trait in Tauruses?

Thanks Isolaede, your Taurus friend can contact me and maybe we could cross-sell:>

I know Taurus really likes to make or fix things, like Capricorn. Virgo is more inventive, and resourceful. Naturally fashion cost big bucks so it's nice to have it, without spending too much,

I'm a Capricorn, and I LOVE dressing up. I can't say that I wear any of those particular linens.

Hope that helps. Good luck!!

i love retro elegance.....i think it will sell.....use a lot of blacks, purples, reds, rich colors...orange is hott too....i think clean lines and bold colors, but I agree, satin a tougher sell. silks, crushed velvet in the retro styles. of course, you probly arent looking for another leo opinion here, but I love me some clothes!

Hi,
The femme fatal style that your refering to is hot amongst younger women twenties and thirties. Check out www.anthropologie.com perhaps this might give you a few more ideas with a nostalgic look - updated victorian. Less expensive ideas can be found in with Urban Outfitters. More expensive similar ideas can be found with Peruvian Connection (this might be the wrong name, I just got a catalogue and they are very pricey.)
I work as a designer for paper products and come in contact with what the latest trends and colors. I think your on the right track. Perhaps you can consider camisol type tops with velvet and beaded accents. I'll get a few more web sites for you at the beginning of the week. You might try finding sites that offer fabrics attachments and acessorie items at a discount so that you'll save money. I can hunt a few websites for you if you want.Let me know I'm a great resource for this kind of stuff.
Yes I'd wear this type of stuff especially topped off with a demin jacket and great jeans. A cool scarf would work well also. Are you doing this for fun or profit? If profit consider the thirties to mid forties crowd - they have the most money to spend. If just for fun - if made with lots of love and great design, anyone will buy it.

Good Luck

I find reasons to dress up for everything! I always find myself overdressed but I never really care..it makes me feel good when i look good, and when I don't look good I'm ina horrible mood, cranky, ****** off...you name it!

Venus is the ruler and very strong in my chart along with a slew of first house placements and Leo Moon

Silk, I love. Dresses Nos 1 and 3 on the webpage you mentioned don't look too bad, but they could do with accessorizing - bows etc, and maybe a strategically placed bit of ribbon embroidery (don't reckon that's had its day yet). Maybe choose more intense colours, sky blue, deep green. Look at all the Forties stuff. Do drapery, that kind of thing.
