Hey all I’ll keep this short and sweet. What part of the chart would you look at for this? Particularly with men. ( btw I say security - as in little anxiety, doubt etc etc ) Thanks a bunch IP: Logged |

You mean self-esteem?Then I'd have a look at positive sun, mars, ascendant and uranus aspects(trines, sextiles, conjunctions) IP: Logged |

What kind of security do you mean? Moon - feelings and emotions ASC - image Sun - ego/self-rating It depends on the given situation, very often people think that someone hurt their feelings while in reality it is their EGO that was hurt! P.S. MC - ideal self-image ------------------ Understanding does not cure evil, but it is a definite help, inasmuch as one can cope with a comprehensible darkness. Carl G. Jung IP: Logged |

Do you mean how you can find confidence in a man by looking at his chart? I didnt understand the question quite Sun conjunct mars and or jupiter would probably do a lot.Moon conjunct venus. There are lots of different ways that men can have a secure life with confidence though. Someone might be confident socially and be a great leader at work while he might have low confidence sexually. (Mars opposition saturn) Other men can be confident when it comes to sex and intimacy with their partner, while he might be shy socially. Many people have a "sherade" like life where they want to look confident and successful to the outer world, while they in fact are very insecure about themselves and work hard to keep it all together. A man with confidence isn't really that easy to define I think. Someone who has a strong sense of self and knows how to make it work would be secure I'd guess. Even if he had to learn it the hard way or was born into it with good family and friends.Age also makes you more and more confident I think. (Hope, lol)

Why not? People with supportive aspects to their Sun (!), supportive aspects to their MC (in this case they may gain confidence later in life ie when they become successful) or (at least) with ASC/Sun positive aspect (they like how they present themselves to others) ------------------ Knowledge rests not upon truth alone, but upon error also. You can also think about the fact that a lot of secure men are actually quite insecure. Their insecurity compels them to be secure.I have a Sag/Scorp friend with a few 2nd house placements. He's fairly successful, but mostly because he doesn't want to be messed with. He doesn't want to allow anyone to trigger his insecurities. IP: Logged |

I agree with Peri on the assessment that insecurities are often dealt with over time, and it may be later in life when it happens.IP: Logged |

What about supportive aspects to Mars? Don't they count too?? IP: Logged |

AG Thosa I am sure all aspects count, it is just that everything depends on what you are talking about. Supportively aspected Mars is supposed to mean that the person feels confident in terms of his physical abilities/physical strength. While it does not mean at all that the same person will feel confident/comfortable around women etc. ------------------ The healthy man does not torture others - generally it is the tortured who turn into torturers. Oh my, perhaps I should have been more specific. When I said secure - I mean in relationships. For example, someone who doesn’t interrogate you because you weren’t home by mid-night or doesn’t like that you have so many male friends. Or accusing you of flirting…when you’re just being friendly. That kind of stuff Honestly, I’m not very secure when it comes to certain things - however, I’m very secure when it comes to relationships. Does that make sense? IP: Logged |

Then you probably mean emotional security, it is either Moon or Venus;I think it is your Venus conj Mars in Aries in the 1st that makes you feel very secure (you-can-run-you-can-hide-but-you-can't-escape-my-love kind of security) IP: Logged |

That’s it! Emotionally secure…why did I forget that?Thank you Peri for helping this dumb-a$$ed fish Yeah, you’re prolly right with the Moon and Venus. “I think it is your Venus conj Mars in Aries in the 1st that makes you feel very secure” Venus is really well aspected in my chart - except for that pesky Neptune IP: Logged |
