In my case, it has helped me understand people, which means I get along with them better by appeasing to their needs and desires. And as a precaution- it prevents me from doing things that cheese people off of a certain sign, especially when I do not know them well. Helps me make a good first impression, as long as I get their birth data discreetly.IP: Logged |

A friend introduced me to astro a few years ago, and it all started from there. Astrology allowed me to find out what's wrong in my life (at the time) and later lots of insightful things about people, relating, and the overall patterns out there.IP: Logged |

Astrology : I remember I got a small phone diary which had all the signs behind and my siblings talking about it. After that I read newspapers and found really intersting but after reading Linda's Books I understood myself,my weakness and strengths.Being a Scorp I understand jealousy and also could see how difficult we scorps can be sometimes..I mean jealousy thing.. I would say it's helping to know more about the people and how they behave. After coming to this site I have understood about the charts and how each of us are different. Helped not to judge some just by their sun signs.IP: Logged |

After listening to Peri's astrology stories one day I just had to start reading something on astrology just to TRANSLATE all those endless stressful aspects, afflicted moons, ACs-MCs and solar returns into non-abracadabra language...

aha and no one can stop you now! at MarinaMy mom’s friend introduced me to astrology about 10 years ago. It helped me greatly to understand myself and see how different and unique we all are. I can say have become more tolerant and understanding because now I know 'what is good for one can be bad for another'. It also helped me to understand human nature a lot better. I am not ashamed anymore for being different. And I have learnt to protect myself too.

hmmm ...... , astrology has helped me understand my self and others .what attrcted me initially , i feel i have always been attracted to mysticism , i was always interested in religion and hindusim being so much attached to its age old traditions, astrology being one of them , i was directed towards it and lastly pyschology has always been very interesting to me and zodiac signs do help u understand the general stuff . ( infact , i am not much into heavy duty astrological stuff, iam more interested in why people think , the way they think) i believe all these three reasons were important for me . IP: Logged |

Astrology helped me forgive and accept myself. I grew up so ashamed of my emotions - This was fueled in part by the fact that my father always kind of teased me about being so moody. I was known as being a bit of a wet dishrag as a child, and that used to make me feel so ashamed. I wanted badly to be Mr. Spock and have no emotions whatsoever. Reading Sun sign's description of Cancers made me realize that it was ok to be a little moody. It made me see my sign from a positive light (Linda is so good at spinning every sign in a positive and poetic light). It made me LIKE aspects of myself I used to be ashamed of.As for how I got into it – I was raised in a very conservative religious family and as such I thought astrology was at worse evil and at best inaccurate. But I had friends I trusted that were interested in it, so I decided to do some extensive research and testing to prove for myself if there was anything to astrology. I did my own chart and then proceeded to do the charts of every person I could get birth data on, and lo and behold to my surprise I found it to be an accurate method of personality profiling people. So I became a total convert. : )

Astrology has helped me in reconciling inner conflicts between varying parts of my nature. I can now see how parts of my personality have been at odds with one another, and work toward a better expression that emcompasses more of my true personality. Astrology has actually brought me back to being more spiritually minded, and in some ways given me a direction to look toward as I move through life.IP: Logged |

It has helped me get a better understanding of myself and others. I was almost on the verge of death really, because of my severe depression, but after getting into buddhism I also got interested in in-depth astrology. I begun to know that i'm a very special person as well as the people around me. I've become to know the complications of a person and how wonderful each person is. I have become much comfortable with life, and not have numerous questions that i don't have answers to. All i know is that i have much to live for, whereas about a year ago, i felt like dying every sec. I'm more appreciative of life now.Taurus in 12th, Moon in Scorpio in 6th, Asc. in Cancer. 'bout 25 years ago I picked up a dusty old paperback on my Moms bookshelf...I blew the dust away to reveal the title: "Linda Goodmans Sun Signs". It's helped me get along with ALL walks of life...I find I can Manipulate people (for lack of a better word) once I find out what their sign is. For instance telling your Cancer friend that their home just burnt to the ground for an April Fools joke probably would fly....however tell that to a Sag and they'll be on the ground in hysterics. I find out what appeals to most signs and use that as a way in with people so perhaps manipulate isn't the best word....maybe knowing how not to **** people off to get them on my side for my benefit and theirs...IP: Logged |

Human psychology has always fascinated me, that's why I got into astrology. I find it very interesting. I'd like to know people as well as possible and know where they are coming from so I can understand them, and help them when they have problems ..and so I can get along with them easier. Also, to help others co-exist and get along as well. The very first thing led me to read Sun Signs and Love Signs was a certain Mr Pisces in high school, because I cared a lot about him and I wanted to help somehow. He often seemed sad and very misunderstood. IP: Logged |

You know, I was wondering to myself just the other night exactly what it was that first got me interested in astrology. I studied astrophysics at university and believe it was after researching Kepler and harmonics in depth for a semester that I discovered there was more to astrology than the superstition surrounding the sun signs. I read all the serious literature I could find on the subject, all the while keeping my newfound enlightenment "in the dark." How has it helped me in life? Well, like others have said, it has become an indispensible tool for understanding myself and the people with whom I interact. I use it as much to better my knowledge of enemies as well as friends - why, sometimes it even inspires me to have pity toward them! IP: Logged |

Right on. Sometimes I have let go some of the mistakes made by others thinking that it's the way they are.

ball,I was not attracted to astrology in the beginning...in fact it seemed the stupidest thing I had ever heard of! The stars up in the sky have something to do with who I am...what I am?! Ridiculous! And insulting to me and to all those who believed this garbage! So I became determined to prove astrology FALSE. I first learned all the rules from a basic astrology books and then began to apply them in interpreting my own chart. However, the interpretations I ended up with all made some kind of sense to me. I studied different books and discovered that they all AGREED on the basic interpretations of the aspects in my chart (some detail differences, but the "big picture" was the same). I became desperate to disprove this absurd theory called astrology, and started doing other people's charts, first my immediate family, then the charts of friends, people I was temping for...I was off the wall! And each time I found that the interpretation of the chart MADE SENSE. That the people themselves could relate to what I found in the chart...even though I knew NOTHING about their life except for the aspects in the chart! I FINALLY accepted that there might...just MIGHT...be SOMETHING to astrology. So I subscribed to Horoscope magazine and began following the descriptions they had in there of "star charts" (charts of famous people). And these, too, made sense. I recreated the charts on an astrology program I had been given and followed along with the book, recreating the charts and carefully following the description of every aspect so I could understand where the author was getting their conclusions from. And, finally, the ultimate test...doing charts for people I have NEVER seen and never WILL see, using the web. I reasoned that, if I said things that made no sense about a complete stranger, they would be likely to defend themselves! However, the few responses I received were all positive, AGREEING with the things I mentioned. And so, I became a GREAT believer in the power of astrology and have tried to spread awareness of it as much as I can, creating a web site dedicated to basic astrology, so people can quickly self-test astrology on themselves. Later, as they discover the power of astrology, they can come to an awareness of themselves they may never have had before...and then they can help others to come to a similar self-understanding. That, at least, is my fantasy...but I am working at it...one person at a time! Astro-prophetising, Tim IP: Logged |

I've always been interested. I feel the major task for me in this life is self-knowledge. Astrology provides a guide. My life is not dictated by it because we all have free will, but it sure has helped me address my "issues" and overcome them.I'm a work in progress and very thankful for all the things I've learned about myself; good, bad and indifferent. ------------------ Before you speak, ask yourself, is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence? -Sai Baba IP: Logged |

I was interested ever since I was little. I would look up the zodiac in the encyclopedia and try to find a way to relate my sun sign to myself. Only until I was in highschool did I realized there was more to it than just sun signs. So I did a little research and here I am - though I'd say I'm still a newbie at this.IP: Logged |

My grandfather committed suicide on January 25,1998. I was an atheist at the time. I was at his funeral, and I was praying for his soul so deeply,I felt something change in me. I had started searching for the meaning of life. I was wondering if he was going to hell for killing himself. I had asked the Catholic Chaplain in the navy, and he told me that he wasn't going to hell because he wasn't in his right mind when he killed himself. A coworker told me that he was going to Hell. I started consulting psychics. I started getting involved with New Age stuff including buying a book,Your Psychic Potential(my first New Age/Metaphysical book)as well as tarot cards. I was very skeptical of Astrology. I really thought it was bullcrap. I even teased an Aquarian friend for believing in it. She did accurately guessed that I have a bit of a temper just from knowing I am a Scorpio, and I was shocked. After my grandfather's death,I started looking into a little bit..checked out sunsign stuff. It was June 28,1998,I completely opened my mind to Astrology. I had a numerology reading at a psychic fair that was amazingly accurate. The day before, I had readings(including pastlife reading) at psychic fair that were accurate. I bought a book on Scorpio. I read it deeply, I could resonate with the Scorpio stuff, but I felt my mom was like the Scorpio mother too even though she's a Gemini. I could identify with the traits of a Scorpio. I learned about moonsigns, and there was a moon table...I found out that my moonsign is Pisces, and I checked out the traits of Pisces, and they fit me to T. They were the traits that I have which my Scorpio didn't have. That really opened up my eyes to Astrology. On a hunch, I checked to see if my Gemini mother's moonsign is Scorpio, and I was right. That really blew me away. When I was stationed in Diego Garcia, I read people their sunsigns and their moonsigns, they really identified with the traits. I bought astrology reports, and I was blown away by the accuracy. My mother even agreed with the accuracy. We were convinced that Astrology was a cosmic form of psychology. I learned about my being a psychic, emotional sponge because of reading my Astrology reports and reading about Moon in Pisces. even realized that having Moon in Pisces AND Moon square Neptune indicated that I was too much of a sponge, and that I didn't belong in the navy. I realized that I was absorbing people's negatively bigtime. I realized that I needed to get out of the navy. I was very depressed and stressed a lot in the navy. I was constantly on ships with very low morale. I was often depressed, stressed out to sea. I was always around guys who missed their wives, children, girlfriends, and were homesick..especially when we went on 6 month deployments. To make the long story short, I became a major believer in Astrology. Reading about Carl Jung using Astrology for psychological insights got me seriously into psychological Astrology. I started reading anything that I get my hands on that had to do with Astrology. I read stuff over and over and over again until I absorbed it on a deep level. I devoted my life to helping others with Astrology to use it to help understand themselves as it helped to understand me.
None of this would be possible if my fellow Pisces Moon grandfather didn't commit suicide. It was during a Pisces Moon in 1999,I had a hunch that he had Moon in Pisces. His suicide was the catalyst got me returned to my believing in God again and opened the door to my metaphysical journey that eventually led me to Astrology. I accurately guessed my father had Pisces Moon like me in 1998. On Dec 31,2003 My guess was finally confirmed when I found him in California death record index and got his birthdate info. He was born Jan 2, 1941. I accurately guessed the moonsigns of both my parents. Mother - Scorpio Moon and my Father - Pisces Moon. my girlfriend is a Scorpio Moon and I am Pisces Moon. Astrology is incredibly insightful. It's a shame that it's dismissed as a pseudoscience. The day that I completely opened up to Astrology: My Moon was progressed in Aquarius.

When I was little my mom had a sun catcher on our kitchen window with all the zodiac signs on it. I asked her what it was and she said it shows your "sign." She said, "See I'm a Taurus...the bull." I asked what I was and she said, "I think you're a Capricorn," and she pointed it out to me. I was only 5 or 6 but I thought it was the coolest thing. I used to stare at that sun catcher all the time. I started getting into it more in high school and bought several books, but my knowledge was still based on sun signs alone. Then, in my early 20's I took a quiz online that asked "what's your love sign?" It told me my love sign was scorpio and I wondered why. I found a free website that would show me my full chart, and I was so fascinated. Everything made a lot more sense. When I started to interpret it, it was like solving a puzzle. The moon is what really blew me away. Sometimes I'm so piscean it's ridiculous...and I finally found out why. Astrology continues to amaze me everyday, but I think the greatest benefit comes through acceptance. When people don't "fit" easily with you, it's a lot easier to accept the reasons why and not hold it against them. "This" or "that" is simply in their nature, and not in yours. It isn't that they're bad or trying to irritate you, you simply have very different energies, strengths, and weaknesses. It also helps me to know my own strengths and weaknesses and learn to embrace or correct them...like AG said. It's extremely beneficial. IP: Logged |

It all started with me falling in love with a guy, and I wanted to know if we were compatible with each other, it went from just wanting to know if me and that guy would 'work' to 'this is really fascinating stuff'. Eventually I dug deeper beyond just the typical Sun sign readings to synastry charts, composites, orbs, etc.(still very much and amateur but eager to learn more). It's funny how it started as trying to find out about one thing and it taking me down a different route, with tons of knowledge!------------------ Sun in Libra Moon in Cancer Jupiter in Cancer Venus in Virgo Mars in Cancer Ascendant in Cancer IP: Logged | |
