I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice concrening a possible career. Being that I have Gem Asc, I have a "anything is possible" way of life, HOWEVER, I have so many interests that it is causing me serious problems. Up until a week ago, I was all set to apply for graduate schools in English, but w/ some really hard thought, I am not questioning it.

In other words, I am trying to figure out what my "purpose" is.

I am thinking I may have the mind for Publishing (have not narrowed down what type and where). Does anyone see anything that sticks out in my chart?

I am really at a crossroads.

Thanks for reading and any advice if available.
:-)

Apply for work in a multifaceted magazine like Reader's Digest. There you can use all your interests and package it with interesting words. Career has to be in writing/publishing/communications BUT need not be as a writer per se, you can make tons of money being a book dealer/book supply chaining for the online stores etc.
Since the entrpreneurial work can be done part time, full time focus for now should be in the multifaceted magazines.

There is also a good chance that you will do well in new age/spititual investigation/mystical romance/fantasy literature [Neptune conjunct Mercury, Pluto in Scorpio]. Consultant for organizing seminars for all these new agey types, real or scammy, could make you wealthy.

geminirising26 -

Taking a quick look, I notice you have no Air in your Chart, sans your Ascendant & North Node in Gemini, no less. So it is no wonder you are placing a lot of pressure on yourself to really communicate. I find the other placements in your Chart to be quite serious. Even though you have that Moon in the 12th House, and that Jupiter in Sagittarius. But I just see you are DEEP and SERIOUS.

How about some intensive research-type writing? Or maybe technical writing of some type. Or if you find you really can be very loose creatively, some firsthand experience you can write about, such as a "how to"?

I don't know. I'm just sort of throwing stuff out there based on a quick impression.

your pluto trine asc. tells me that you are a perfectionist (never superficial) and you're always finding your flaws (are aware of them) and try to fix them. you have an innate understanding of the human psychology and can do well in your relationships w/ people and give a lot. giving advice (writing about it) on relationships would be good...
hope my opinion helped.

Taurus in 12th, Moon in Scorpio in 6th, Asc. in Cancer.

(I'm a Cap with Gemini Rising, too)

If his/her Sag is in the 7th like mine (I think it is), then he or she's got quite a bit more Air than astro junkie's ascribing to him/her with four planets in Libra's house.

Gemini Ascendant and True Node would probably generate that pull toward a Gemini profession.

Do Singleton's pertain to "Air Houses" as well?

That's a good question, but I don't have the answer.

Where's Tim?

I remember doing some extended chart at astro.com once that said Libra is my strongest influence, and it perplexed me having only two planets there. My (Sag) stellium in the 7th is what pushed Libra to the top. That's why I look at the elemental nature of the houses now.

Hi All!

Thanks for your replies. I have been mulling over them, seeing what I think.

Thanks Iqhunk for suggesting some new things. I too think I need something that conbines all my interests into one. Good idea to combine the publish w/ my new age interests!

AStro Junkie-
You are dead on. I really have to push myself to be talkative and have those randome chit chat conversations even though I don't like them (idle chatter is annoying) and if I am not talking, I feel that I will be looked over. Yeah. It's that serious! lol.

Taurean-Scorpion
Very true! I am a serious person. Lately I've been trying to lighten up and laugh more, but basically I am hard on myself and expect a lot. lol. I do like the psychological, in fact, that was my second choice for a major aftert English....

Acoustic God-
Yeah, I have Sag. on the Desc. Libra is the house ruler of the 5th, but as you can see I have mars, pluto, and saturn in the 5th in Scorpio + the sun in the 8th which is also very scorpionic.

I am glad for my gemini asc. though. It lightens me up and can make me witty-when I choose it!

Thanks again for all you replies! :-)

Acoustic,

I need to have the birth information in the format:
Month Day, Year
XX:XX AM or PM
City County/Province State/Country

so I can see the chart!

Gemini,

If you want to have someone else's opinion to add to the mix, please post your birth info in the format indicated above.

Trying to help,

Tim
