Is there such an aspect as a double grand cross with 8 planets/asteroids/etc. forming perfect semisquares to each other. I ask because my chart has my - asc/venus/nnode, sun, moon, juno, saturn, neptune, jupiter, and part of fortune forming almost exact semisquares with each other. The exception saturn being a few degrees off but enough to notice its effects. any insights?

to the forum, a_cancer_to_us_all!

Wow, what fascinating aspect pattern! I've never heard of this before, but I bet there might be a few people here with this.....

You might try posting a thread to Tim Wilson, I bet he'd be interested in looking at your chart. Or try his forum at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FreeAstrologicalChartConsultation/

Cancer,

Indeed I am interested in this chart...it sounds fascinating! For your reference, it is helpful to those who want to create the chart (personally, I have to see a chart to understand it...long lists of aspects simply confuse me!) to give your birth information in the format:
Month Day, Year
XX:XX AM/PM
City County/Province State/Country

From the information you give, it sounds like you have a Grand Semi-square aspect. All this means is that you have ONE aspect which links all the way around your chart (e.g., Grand Trine = linking trines, Grand Sextile = linking sextiles, Grand Square = linking squares, etc.).

Personally, I don't use minor aspects, asteroids, or Part of Fortune, so I wouldn't look at this as an aspect pattern in your chart. But, since you do, it indicates that you can strongly "tap into" semi-square energy...whatever that is! In my analysis I would probably focus more on the Grand Square (presuming there is one formed WITHOUT Juno and the Part of Fortune), and see this as an intense FOCUS of energy on combining the four planetary energies involved in the Grand Square.

It is also useful to see which houses are affected by the Grand Square. There are three types of houses:
Action houses (1, 4, 7, 10)
Security houses (2, 5, 8, 11)
Learning houses (3, 6, 9, 12)
(also called Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable, but I like the Action, Security, Learning terms better).

Your Grand Square most likely falls into all Action, Security, or Learning houses. Whichever type of houses it falls into determines the type of challenge you need to accomplish with your energies. So if your Grand Square falls into Action houses you need to take action, in Security houses you need to build security, and in Learning houses you need to learn from your experiences.

Final note, commonly in aspect patterns astrologers do NOT use the points (i.e., Asc, Desc, MH, Nadir, North node, South node). However, I have found that points can be used in aspect patterns, although this lessens the intensity of the aspect pattern.

Hopefully that is enough to get you started on your astrological self-exploration!

Explaining,

Tim

lets see. i have venus, the moon, jupiter and saturn in one grand cross aspect. then i have the sun/mars, neptune, p of f, and juno in the other one. i have noticed both of these configurations having effects in my life with the former being a more external influence and the latter being a more internal influence. If that makes any sense?

Cancer,

Your Grand Cross falls mainly into Action houses, indicating that you are motivated to take action in your life, possibly as a leader of some sort. Using my system of only looking at planets and points, there is only one Grand Cross in your chart.

I can also see an "internal" influence in your chart without needing to look for a second grand cross. Most of your energy is on the bottom of your chart, so you focus on your inner world more than the outer world. However, as mentioned, the Grand Cross will tend to force you to take action both in the inner and outer worlds.

Charting,

Tim

devilfish,

It is difficult for me to see the chart patterns from this descriptive text. Please give your birth information in the format:
Month Day, Year
XX:XX AM/PM
City County/Province State/Country

and I will be able to get a better idea of your chart.

Trying to help,

Tim

devilfish,

You have two kite aspects, a Grand Square, and a T-Square. One kite is focused at Neptune (spirituality, also confusion) focused in the 12th house (spirituality, also confusion) and the other kite is focused at Moon (home, also emotions) focused in the 1rst house (being). The Grand Square is in or near Action houses. The T-square is focused on Jupiter (expansion) conjunct (energy is combined with) Mercury (thinking, also deatils) focused in the 3rd house (thinking, also details).

The kites show the importance of connecting in spiritually and personally with your emotions, although this may be confusing. The Grand Square is a motivator for taking action in your life. The T-square focuses you on trying to get as many details as possible, although sometimes you may gather many more details than you actually need or can use.

With Sagittarius (expansion, also wisdom) modifying North node (future goals) focused in the 1rst house (being), the life challenge is to learn as much about yourself as you can.

Charting,

Tim

im very spiritual, and confused about it too, lol i feel like driftwood.
i have a hard time tryin to sythesize what all this means. i want to find balance/peace within.i cant seem to realize an approppriate outlet for my energies.if that makes any kinda sense.

i have found jewellery making to be a good way to channel thru the hard parts of having a t square with venus opposition saturn, venus square a fire singleton neptune (groans) and that same neptune squaring Saturn. Its one of the few artforms I do which actually pleases the Virgo stellium. (where saturn is a part)
