To all,

In response to a post about incorrect chart generation at Star2Star.com I went to the site and inputted my birth information. The astrological data generated had the incorrect Ascendant and Midheaven, and so the planets were listed as being in houses where they weren't. Clicking on the "Daylight Saving Time" box and reentering the information had no effect on the astrological data generated, it came out the same as before.

This site needs to fix these problems in order for it to be useful. In the meantime, compare chart data generated at Star2Star.com with chart data generated at Astro.com. The Astro.com chart will be the correct chart data and the Star2Star.com chart data should match Astro.com.

Astro-checking,

Tim

Public service announcements are always nice. I think star2star did mine just fine yesterday when I was looking at it. I may be in the minority.

mine was all wrong... moon, Asc., houses...
I had to put in 2 hours earlier to get the ASC right but the houses were wrong no matter what.

I just subtracted an hour from my birthtime and it all came out fine. *shrug*

So, instead of 5:06 PM, I put in 4:06 PM and I got my correct birthchart.

Stargazer,

I asked because I was thinking that the site used military time, and maybe you'd just miscalculated. I see now (I just went to the site again) that it doesn't. Now I think Nove's time could potentially be a daylight savings time issue. Who knows?

I just put my info in again, and got exactly the right results again. I'm an afternoon baby, too (2:34pm). I wonder why mine comes out ok. ACtually, by position, it's off by minutes, but not by degree.

i saw this too..........
weird thing is that some of the descriptions fit me better.there was approx. a 12 degree difference in my chart.
i checked out astro.com and they say on the edit info page the computer adjusts to whatever place you enter, it automatic takes daylight hours ect. into consideration.
still, i was unable to see the map they use. universal time from astro was 1 hour earlier than that of the star site.

Probably was.

But it irritated me that it kept spitting out 9 degrees Libra for the Ascendant (instead of 27 degrees Virgo) until I had to subtract an hour from my birthtime. As cool as it would be to kick that little bit of Virgo out of my first house, it ain't gonna happen.
