Jupiter is not always 'the planet of luck'; first of all, it is the planet of expansion of both the positive and the negative.

Jupiter brings opportunity, but not always like Santa Claus. It does free you up and allows you to expand but, if it is stressfully aspected, not in the way you'd like it to.

If Jupiter is positively aspected (natal and transiting) then it brings us LUCK (or what we think luck is)

Supportively aspected Jupiter in the 4th can bring you a baronial mansion, I guess??

peace,

With Jupiter (expansion) focused in the fourth house (home, also emotions), this can indicate a very emotional person or (as Peri hinted) a person VERY interested in their home...most likely both! Since Jupiter is exalted (very strong energy) when it is in the 4th house, this placement can create a person who is very expansive (somehow) in what they do!

Explaining,

Tim

Peri,
I guess the negative side of Jupiter makes people push their luck.Like overindulging for instance. An astrologer told me that when Jupiter is in your sign, weigh gain and pregnancy is possible.I was 168 lbs. two years ago when Jupiter was in Virgo. However,I wasn't pregnant(thank goodness!).Now I'm 158 lbs.Maybe it's the planet transits.Anyway,Jupiter is in Scorpio now which means Sex will in the spotlight. An overindulgence of sex?.If you Scorps get a chance to read this post, are you gaining weight or are you pregnant?.As for a mansion,I can hardly wait!.

Correct, Peace

Expansion in everything Jupiter is transiting.

I think any planet transiting the house spotlights the relevant area of your life.

e.g.the 'activated' 8th house will put sex in the spotlight, not just the sign of Scorpio itself. In my opinion the sign just kind of tinctures or modifies the planetary energy.

Jupiter transiting ASC (particularly) and/or transiting Jupiter conj/sextile/trine Sun can cause weight gain.

Hi. I'm not to sure about what Jupiter in the 4th house means, but I know that Jupiter just recently was in my 5th house and it brought extra weight gain. Maybe a little too much info but my fiance and I have been trying to conceive for 5 years (nothing wrong on either side) but it happened as soon as Jupiter transited my 5th house and was conjunct my natal Sun. It also said I would have favorable moments with little boys especially and they would be attracted to me. Well I just found out I'm having a boy so how's that for luck and Jupiter transiting the 5th house.

Hmmm, if Jupiter is the planet of over indulgence (never thought of it that way) then, with Jupiter in the 7th and in Sag, would one say that this said person relies too much on people? Or...what? Maybe overindulges in being optimistic towards people? Expects too much from people? Overwhelms people?

How would this aspect manifest in the person's personality?

Also, why do people say if a planet is "well aspected." I always thought trines could be too much of a good thing, as well as squares are too much of a bad thing. Maybe we should all get away from the "good"/ "bad" and use neutral terminology...although, I am not sure what it would be.....

It could very well mean multiple marriages/relationships AND with foreigners (other countries, cultures, faiths....)

don't forget that while 1st to 6th houses are 'personal - they describe YOU,
teh 7th to 12 are 'social' ones - they descrive your relationships (you while in rel)

i have a 4th Jup (well, it's 1 degree away from the 5th, but let's say it counts for 30% )

from what i've read ove the years...
- it's imp what house has sag in!
- it's better for u to remain in the place of origin - better luck&wealth there than any other places away from "home"
- large family & house
- wealth and happy old age

Good point Duality

I do have a fondness for travel and am attracted to people who are different from me (religion, ethnicity, etc...)

Can't see myself going from person to person though...but who knows. People do change....
I have Merc in the 7th (which also is an indication of multiple marriages)

Added with the Gem rising...

Oh uh!

lol.

I have Jupiter in Aries in the 5th.

This gives me a choice once I have really got myself together of being either a Born Leader or a tyrant.

I think I'm going to go with the former.

I would imagine in the 4th it would mean being sensitive to the emotions of those closest to you, but forceful in your expression of this understanding.

I am guessing here though.
