But when I say a MAN, I mean a MAN. Not someone with hang-ups, not s/o with a chip on their shoulder, not s/o who needs to be mothered. Someone who enjoys life and their work and has confidence in bucketloads, and is also very passionate.

At the same time I also realize I need to work on myself emotionally and can't just rest on my laurels. I have been going on dates recently and realize I come over as assertive/aggressive, basically because I won't take any sh*t from anyone any more. The fact that I am pretty much in command of myself and very straightforward about my desires etc. perhaps results in my coming over as slightly cold, and potentially demanding. I have got so detached now (I thought, from having lived with Mr. Aquarius) that I find it very difficult to show warmth. Efficiency, enthusiasm, passion for what I do, but not interpersonal warmth, and I don't know why I'm like this.

Then again, I'd also want someone who took their work seriously and was passionate about it (and me) and was also private with their heart. Why should I settle for second-best?

I've just watched the DVD of "Secretary" and although it's a very, very good film, it's left me thinking that all guys want a submissive woman, or at least, a woman that is needier than themselves; someone who is complete in themselves, they maybe wouldn't be all that bothered with - am I correct in my suspicions? - Or, if the woman WAS complete in themselves, the guy would be looking for a mother.

Now no way do I want any of those scenarios. I want a MAN, who is not approaching any potential relationship with the degree of cynicism (which is what it amounts to) mentioned above. I hope I am not being too cynical here myself! Are there any guys at all out there who are healthy, high-achieving and sane?

NOT NECESARILLY !
cancer men are pretty infamous to be such men but then again i have had a crush on a woman who is much more bossy than what i am

infact that was the first thing that striked me about her .

before i say anything more , let me clarify it , i am not against strong or modern woman , though i am cancerian ( i clarified it bcos i already have had controversy regarding it , i dont want it again)

women and men when defining thier rights tend to go overboard .
try to understand it as a cancer's shell , just bcos i dont want to get hurt , i maintain a hard look on my face and that hard look sometime does irritate people .
its the same with modern women , i feel they have a defensive attitude towards thier rights as they fought for centuries now ,that makes them overtly aggresive at times , thats what needs to balanced bcos its all about balance .

i dont think we have to be aggressive to empahsies our rights . i make this mistake always as i am a short tempered person but then even i take aggression as something wrong .

ok .. slighty diff scenerio (to yours) .. but i've had/having t.Urns to nMars then to the ASC ..
(i've just realise tUrns is doing a bit of a back/forward dance ) .. over the past year .. plus
a Neptune transit .. .. .. .. ok a few minor mishaps about the house (impatience) ... for some realy
strange reason the bedroom hifi keeps turning on and off on an iregular basis .. all on its own ..
as if it's haunted .. .. music playing or for that matter any sort of art endeavor has entailed
new discoveries .. unexpected at that .. musical accidents .. or press a button in a graphics editor
and wham .. instant wow out of the blue .. .. .. and a sudden realisation as to the process
that made it go Wow ..

.. in essence ... new discoveries for oneself .. usualy unexpected ...

.. .. keep forgetting about boiling water on gas stove'cause am too engrossed in whatever ..
.. left it on overnight (all be totaly out of character ) and woke up to ... oh shyte what's that smell ..
.. then 'thank the lord i didn't burn the house down' ...

.. sort of Nept being given a Uranian shock ...

anyhow Urn transit in the 'relationships' department ... and instability ..

I'm currently on match.com but of course it's easy for ppl to create a good impression online...I don't drink but I definetely need to get out a bit more...over the last few months I've been chasing back & forth trying to get my business going, can't get any state support either, no Jobseeker's Allowance, no Housing Benefit, no nothing. BUT I have got a business loan. I'm hoping our house will sell in the not-too distant future, just hoping Mr. Aqua hasn't decided to stuff fish inside the curtain-rails (wouldn't put it past him)!!!!! Be nice to get that one cleared up.

Is Pluto done giving me grief? Really done, I mean, not just sort of done?

Uranus CJ natal Venus & Moon I read denotes unconventiality in relationships, but I can't find any info on Jupiter CJ-ing natal IC, except that Jupe is beneficent and IC relates to the 3rd/4th house cusp, which in turn relates to the inner world. You said that you don't know quite what to make of this position: actually I have had a huge crush on somebody for about 2 years now, who says things that are so profound and instinctively knowledgeable that they touch my heart; he seems to understand me completely. He knows I have a crush on him but I'm not sure he really realizes to what extent. In all honesty I can't hope for anything on that score, as he is attached (not married) and I am pretty sure he loves his partner, and probably I am wasting my time adoring him. So whether this transit denotes a wake-up call, or something more, 'twill be interesting to see.

Ah, you picked up on Uranus in my 2nd House - probably what's putting a lot of employers off me!!! Drives my family to the depths of despair - they shan't be ALLOWED to mention it over Xmas, however - I have given them an earful on that score already

.. well the freeze feeling was down to wind from the east ( n'owt to do with curries and ale ) .. but it's
changed back to just being coldish and wet .. and grey .. .. i think when the far south had a bunch of snow not too long ago .. so did the far north (although i might be mistaken ) .. ... but here it was .. one day very cold .. next day mild .. ... .. weather in this country is just plain nuts ..
