Do you find the greatest loves of your life, or the people you tend to hook up with, are all REALLY beautiful? Or do you tend to stick with them longer BECAUSE you just find them so physically beautiful?What's your record? Do you believe that inner beauty can translate into outer beauty via their inherent energy & vibes? What astrological influences do you think contribute to these things? ------------------

I used to think it was sooooo important for him to be physically beautiful - I’m a double fish with Venus in the first ( which I think makes you Libra like ) I appreciate beauty.Now, the beauty I appreciate is inner. I still love art…and prefer beautiful scenery…and Orlando Bloom *sigh* I hear he’s engaged *cries* Going out with someone for their looks didn’t last…there is no momentum in the relationship. It goes real fast, then slows down…and if I’m unlucky, crashes and burns. Sure it’s nice to look at nice things, or people  but the feeling never lasts and eventually get bored.
But being with someone that cares and tries to make you happy…that lasts a long time. Shame I didn’t appreciate it back then.

The greatest loves of my life have always been incredibly beautiful, however objectively it’s hard to say if they would seem as beautiful if I did not love them so much. I do wholeheartedly believe that inner beauty (and ugliness) shines through to the outer appearance. I’ve known people that I thought to be beautiful on our first meeting that became ugly the more I got to know them. Their selfishness, lack of honor, dissolute morals, etc lessened their physical beauty in my eyes. I’ve also experienced the same in reverse. People that I did not consider physically attractive initially became so the more I saw of their genuinely beautiful personality. Every man I’ve loved has seemed like the most handsome creature in the universe. The man I’m dating today seems more gorgeous to me than any man I’ve seen before, and he just becomes sexier to me every day I’m with him. And no, I wouldn’t stick with someone because they were physically beautiful any more than I’d pursue someone solely on a basis of physical beauty. There are so many more lasting and important attributes. My longest running relationship was seven years and I lived through the natural gaining and loosing of weight, receding hair lines, and aging, and that man never stopped looking beautiful to me. I never considered leaving him because he lost hair or struggled with his weight from time to time. I’m not sure what astrological influences have given me the propensity to look beyond the surface of things for beauty. Perhaps all of my 8th house and Pluto aspects? Maybe that transformational spiritual energy encourages me to look beneath the exterior of things. I do know that strong Libra influences (especially in the ascendant) can lead one to place a lot of value on physical appearance. For some reason I’m a magnet for Libra ascendants and every one of them was very focused on exterior beauty.

Sure it’s nice to look at nice things, or people but the feeling never lasts and eventually get bored.
But being with someone that cares and tries to make you happy…that lasts a long time. Shame I didn’t appreciate it back then.WN, im sitting here and feeling it.........i didnt appreciate it back then either! but the sadder thing is i still go for the physical attraction but non-fullfilling relationships...i hope i can grow out of it the guys i fall for just not compatitable with me, wht im attracted to dont offer me in terms of emotional and mentally.
its such a drag. im so sick of it and sick of myself as well. IP: Logged |

I like this question, as I've been thinking a lot about beauty lately. I have to admit I fall easily for beautiful people (although I do have peculiar taste). But there has been a pattern in my life of meeting somebody that I find very attractive at first and then they end up having a fascianting personality that gets me hooked. I find I tend to like people- the way they look and the way they act- better with time. Familiarity with somebody makes me more attracted.
I've got several placements that may contribute to this.. Libra rising, Leo moon and Venus in the 5th. But my Aquarian Venus always needs a little more-
especially a beautiful touch of madness.
~ just remembered. The officially "best-looking" fellow I've ever been with happened to resemble the Cheshire cat when he grinned devilishly. A perfect face/body with something just a little "off" is what does it to me every time. A gap in their teeth..
or just a little on the skinny side.. something funny about their beautiful face.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
My "record" thus far has been..
several delicious and fascinating creatures (humans, and one alien)

Um. I don't know. Really. Being a Pisces Venus, I'm hoping for all of it rolled into one. Hey, I can dream, right?  I don't know. I have a Pisces Descendant, too. I think it comes down to a person's personality which makes them attractive to you. Personally, I've never been one to go for looks, and the most good looking people I've found to be rather repulsive, VERY repulsive. The people I've been happiest with have been those who've grown on me, over time, not because of anything physical at first, and then because of their personality I liked em. I don't know if it's preposterous to say this, but I have no respect for people who are all about physical attraction...IP: Logged |

lol that sounds a lot like me. Though I wouldn't find someone with good looks repulsive based on their looks...but I have known good looking guys who have extremely repulsive personalities.. though I also know good looking people with nice personalities. Personality is make or brake to me.. AJ, the greatest loves of my life were average looking but they had something interesting about them.. and usually very intense eyes. The eyes are a mirror to the soul.. I believe that. My friends always complained that they weren't "cute enough" or that it's weird I like them. My Venus is in the 11th ..Anyone who is strange in some way.. is charming in my book lol People usually think I’m crazy to like the guys I like lol I have Juno conjunct Uranus though it’s by a large orb… I read this about it on bobmarksastrologer.com: quote:

Thats a good question you ask, Astro... I think people with inner beauty have something manetic about them that always draws me in and hypnotizes me into feeling that they are beautiful. Also when I fall in love, the guy I'm with transforms somehow.. like I think the Virgo I'm with right now is amazingly handsome (though his looks are recognized by others). I don't remember him being this handsome when I first met him, but now its like he really is the most gorgeous guy in the world and yea if I ever contemplate leaving him, that does influence my decision  IP: Logged |

To be honest....IF I get attracted to a person definitely
because of his physical beauty and if they are beautiful from inside then I would love to have a relationship. I get attracted to Physical appearance because that's what I can see in the beginning but as the time goes and when I can see the flaws in their charachter and personality. It turns me off completely. Till now the best guy ever I met and I was completely attracted to was Christian Slater look alike and surprisingly I was not attracted to him because of his looks but the way he carried himself and caring person he was.I guess he himself didn't know how handsome he was.Down to earth and loyal.What one more can ask for? I would want who is AVERAGE LOOKING ( not a person who is handsome or ugly...just perfect for my taste) but have a great personality and beautiful from inside. In short, Physical Attraction lasts for some time but Inner beauty attraction lasts forever. IP: Logged |

YES,YES and YES! It is very difficult for me to tell if the person is pretty or handsome until I get to know them better. I know what types of faces are considered to be handsome and pretty but I don't know if I find them so. I think I see people with my heart not eyes, it feels so strange; it amuses my friends a lot they say I have a very strange repception of human beauty  quote:

Nice to meet you.I find everyone beautiful for the most part. I truly do. Everyone has something beautiful about their person. I am extremely comfortable with myself; my face and my body. I do not suffer from the cliched female gripes. If my ass is fat...cool. I love curves. I like skinny. I like everything. I am considered beautiful and have never had any difficulties attracting men. I've dated some very handsome people but if they dont do it for my mind; thats it. I just wont be turned on. p/s, Can someone please tell me how you get the quote thing. Venus in Gemini 11th house
