Did you notice how so VERY matter-of-fact your query is in this post? Before I even looked at your placements, I was already thinking I had to find what it was that gives you that style of such objective articulation.

i've studied ad nauseum my sun sign and its implications, so there's little insight to be found there, i suspect. having learned the sort of character imparted by the ascendant and moon sign, i've turned my interest there of late. what i haven't yet broached are the mechanics of the houses and their interplay with the signs and planets, and that that does to the individual.

i understand that planets are in zodiacs, and zodiacs are in houses, but i understand little more than that. to be fully candid, i'm looking for insight to refine my character and to achieve better success in work and in love. there's a tipping-point that i seek, such that when i reach it, i'll have the wherewithal to enact profound and lasting changes to the weaker facets of my personality/character/persona.

Second, I will suggest to you to use the format that astrojunkie explained in her post above. Astro.com has great graphics and many of us like to view the visual chart ot get a 'feel' for your chart.

You are doing ME a favor by providing your birth information since I, like GemStar, like to see the chart itself in doing interpretation. So I thank you for providing me with your astrological details. I notice on the posting you left out the city and state: Syracuse, New York. I suggest leaving this information in since most astrology programs use a built-in atlas to create the chart, which requires the person to enter the city and state/country information.

On to the interpretation (short version)!

You have almost all your planets at the top of the chart so you focus on the outer world more than the inner world.

You have more of your planets on the right side of the chart than on the left so you focus on others more than on yourself.

You have most of your planets in the top right of the chart so you use what you know about others to do things for them in the outer world.

A challenge in your life is you have North node (future goals) conjunct Ascendant (self), so, although you tend to focus most on other people and the outer world, your goal is to find out more about your self. You have help in doing this since you have a large T-square focused on a Libra (relationships) stellium (collection of energy) in the 9th house (expansion, also wisdom), indicating you can use your knowledge gained through relating with others to better understand who you are...which I guess is why you are here studying astrology!

OK, I'll work with that.

I can see where you have such emphasis and interest in success in work and love. Your Chart shows me they are almost synonymous. Here's where the House placements come into play.

Your Sun is in Scorpio in the 10th House
Your North Node is in Capricorn in the 1st House
Your Venus is in the 8th House

In case you don't quite know what that means, the 10th House Rules career and the 10th House Rules Saturn. Saturn Rules Capricorn and your North Node (your destiny) is in Capricorn in the 1st House. The 1st House has everything to do with who you are and what is most valuable to you.

The 8th House Rules other people's money, and your Venus is in the 8th House ... hmmmmm ....

Things you have going for you while trying to reach those goals, your Mercury is in Sag in the 11th House. So you are very straightfoward in your communications, but in the 11th House of friendships and socializing with others. So you will make lots of friends.

The 9th House is the House of higher learning, expansion and travel. You have your Moon, Mars, and Uranus in Libra in the 9th House. So far everything is projecting you into an upward spiral. Not only that, but Libra is a very cerebral influence. So much thought can go into your dreams.

i thank you all for bearing with my inexperience and for providing such useful analysis. this kind of information is simply not available via automated charting programs and sites. i'll spend a fair amount of time reviewing your comments and studying the natal wheel and gobs of associated data. by better understand what the information means for me, i'll gain corresponding insight to contribute to other.
