Is it just my perception or are Leo females a bit much?
For example, take my mom. Yeah, I love her, but my god she is impossible. Yelling, screaming, complaining. She wants special treatment, yet wants to stand alone(aka do things "her way".
For example: She refuses to do anything for my upcoming birthday, even when she knows how important it is to me and I asked her to. When her birthday happened this past August, you would have thought she was the Queen of England proceeding for Buckingham Palace. This may sound trivial, but things like this do add up.

I don't want to generalize, but Leo's...I don't know. I always feel like people with lot of leo placements (especially Moon) do a lot of things for "show" they are always "on" and change moods like nobody's business. The way my mother appears to me, is definately not the cute charasmatic person she shows to my friends and....well, eveyone else in the world.

My aunt is also a Leo and they both have so many things in common. Here are the biggies though:
grandiose ideas
outlandish promises
sufferers of the "I am always right/the best" disease and/or "the world revolves around me" disorder.

*Note:Leo's will go out of the way for you-if they love you and think you are worth it or if they can put you before them-whichever one comes first.

Whew.

I had to vent! :-)

Anyone else experience parents/relatives like this?? Any Leo females like this especially?

My moms a leo and she doesn't have any of these issues, these are some of the more negative leo traits. I think its always important to remember that everyone is an individual, and astrology is just trends. ANy aspect or influence is 50% change and 50% challenge, so even if someone has 4 leo placements they might still be selfless, giving, and open minded. Leos do tend to think they're right, but you would too if you were a leo, you just have to understand their coming from a very passionate place, and that their good qualities (being oh so loved by them) make up for the negative.

Gooberz-

I agree!

BlueRoamer-

I realize this. This is why I put the Note at the bottom.
She is particularly frustrating me right now. She has plenty of wonderful traits, but these are the traits that I am noticing between the two.

She can be really funny, and unexpectedly giving. I think she and I are just adjusting since I am home on break from college. I have "messed up the flow" of the household since she has gotten used to me being away from home so much. I don't know. We clash too much!

Thanks for the replies!

YES. I know a woman like that.

MY MOTHER.

UGH.

She's an Aries/Leo/Pisces.

You wouldn't think she were the least bit Arian or Piscean. She always expects to get special treatment when we're somewhere. She doesn't believe in waiting. She just rushes right in and DEMANDS that things be her way. UGH. My mother is the most impatient person ever.

...I'll never understand people with Leo placements. I just don't. Maybe it's because of my Virgo Rising - I don't know. But people with heavy Leo placements just irk me so badly.

But then again...I have Mars in Aquarius, Pluto in Scorpio, and Mercury in Taurus. If one of their placements sits at the right degree then, that sets of a Grand Cross, doesn't it? Maybe that's why I don't get along so well with Leo's...?

I find Leos a bit much. "Why?" you say "you have 4 planets in Sagittarius and the Moon in Leo"
There too hectic man. Sure i'm a bit mad in a way that i'll take stupid chances and break the law, and lost loads of money gambling... but Leo's can't just sit there and chill out. I've got this friend who is always trying to play with me or feel my ear or give me a bear hug. If he's not doing that he pressing all the buttons on my stereo or something.
I have another Leo friend who is always a bit aggressive with me.
They are a bit much -period. (But i still love most of them - except aggression man).

Ok, I thought I was going to get much harsher response (Keeping your comments in mind Evolution, keeping them in mind!)

Nove: You know, I think it is as simple as you put it. I have 2 planets in earth (sun Cap, moon Cap, and merc Cap) and my mom's Leo just clashes.

We can get alone well cometimes b/c we both have a silly sense of humour and similar interestes, but oftten I think I am stubborn and so does she, but such is life I guess!

Marsconjunct-
I have 4 planets in Sag too! I have venus/uranus in the 6th, and neptune and jupiter in the 7th. One would think I could identify, but Sag is much more open I think and free thinking, seeing different sides.

Well, thanks eveyone for reply.

Knowing the nature of the board, and taking Evolution's advice, I will officially end this thread...now that I think of it, I vaguely do recall a Leo mom thread...

Have a good night all!

hey hey hey now
lol

i am a female leo.. well im a bit more grounded the most female leos... ive done a lot of work and self "mastering" on myself to get to this point. it takes a lot of work for leo women to get to a point where they recognize their flaws , acknowledge them, and then work to surpass... the older u get i suppose the harder it is to do

Generally I get along with Leo suns and find it easy to get comfortable with their company but the moons can be downright repulsive to me at times. A lifelong friend of mine is a Leo/Scorp. The biggest arsehole I knew was an Aries/Leo;I'd say leo moons can be pretty selfish at times and put people down. But hey, thats my experience. With me and geminis it seems to be the opposite situation, Gemini suns just grate my nerves whereas gemini moons are really giddy and easy going. But generally, I'd say that people with strong leo placements in general are very inviting and open.

My mum is a Leo. She can be a drama queen at times..but I’m very close to her..She’s very caring and helps the people around her a lot. I usually get on fine with Leo girls.

I've only had problems with Leo men. We're like two ships passing in the night.. no connection.. completely different ideas, thoughts, interests, emotions.. I'm very mental, I'm constantly thinking about something. Air signs make me the most comfortable, because they're hyper and they make engaging conversation. The Leos I’ve known seem a bit too lost in love/sex for me, too emotional.. Sex has them hooked and they have zero self control and forethought. That scares me. I need more mental activity coming from a friend/partner. They all have water moons, and cancer venus.. some also have cancer mercury – which creates a t-square with my aries/cap.. so I think I’m entirely biased..

My Sun/Venus are in the 11th. Mars/Neptune in 7th.. I have a Gem asc..and my Mercury squares Uranus. I need air in my relationships, and a lot of communication, sharing of ideas.. and interesting conversation.

I can't fast forward to the love/romance part straight away.. which is what Leos always seem to want or prefer. They don't seem to want a mental connection or even think about establishing a mental connection before the love part. This makes me very uncomfortable. I can’t fall in love with a stranger or an acquaintance (Leos can). I need to know their mind first.. I need to understand them first…THEN I fall in love with them. It doesn’t work the other way around. These Leo guys are pretty similar in that they all (except for my step bro) flirt intensely, dramatically and very *in your face* with any girl they find attractive (makes me wayyy uncomfortable).. so being friends or just talking...or making interesting convo...doesn’t cross their mind all that much.. Not with girls anyway…Maybe it does with male friends.. They're very physical, which I'm sure a lot of girls might like.. but like I said it scares me.. I need someone who is mental and thinks a lot about a variety of interesting subjects (completely independent of love and sex) that he can share with me.

Nove youd probably be right about the Grand Cross creation with Leos.. i get the same with Gems as i have a mutable t-square with my Saturn in Virgo, neptune in Sag, and Venus in Pisces.

the birthday thing made me chuckle cos I have a Leo friend that does exactly the same.. theres gonna be hell to pay this year if they ignore my birthday again this year.

And if you read the post on my odd new years eve mission.... well my ex had Moon in Leo.

My mum is a Leo and shes the most caring, kind person I know, shes so full of love it oozes out of her every pore. I have a couple more Leo friends also, and they are extremely amiable people.

"Here are the biggies though:
grandiose ideas
outlandish promises
sufferers of the "I am always right/the best" disease and/or "the world revolves around me" disorder"

Grandiose ideas - Agreed, my mum has lots of these
Outlandish promises - Mum has never promised me anything she has not/couild not give me, and everything she has told me has been truth
I am always right/best disease - My mum is always the first to admit she may be wrong, shes very humble and open to new ideas, very spiritual (and she has a LOT of Leo in her chart)

The traits you mentioned are not confined only to Leos, they can fall under any sign. Astrology becomes distorted when we take it too far, when we try to say astrology is people/ people are astrology. The astrological aspects we were all uniquely born with are just the tools we use it life to nourish and nurture our souls, they are not 'us'. They are just impressions of the energys we express, however deeper in the soul there is no such thing as separation between energy (like the separation of the 12 signs etc). Just imagine you were born to explore the infinite garden of life, and to help you along, you were gifted all these astrological gardening tools for your garden adventure - the tools are only a small part of us.
