I would enjoy hearing all ur opinions on what you feel are the true artistic signs of the zodiac. I'm kinda lacking in info on this area and it is also hard to find. Thanks all. =)IP: Logged |

You will get a lot of different opinions on this matter, I imagine. In my experience, the following placements seem to indicate that the individual may be an "artist": Aries suns Pisces suns/moon various Libra placements (although these seem to indicate patrons more than artists) a prominent Venus- Venus in 1st/3rd/5th Neptune conjunct the IC or MC Mercury in 12th house various Taurus placements various Leo placements BUT- honestly, I have known artists with none of the above placements and I have seen charts that look like the person is really artistic and it turns out they are not- at all- not even interested in art. So.. it's tricky sometimes. At the end of the day, I would imagine that at least a little water and/or fire would be helpful in the chart of an artist.

Depends on what kind of art you're talking about, too. Visuals? Theatre? Music? Dance? Writing? IP: Logged |

Midheaven in Gemini is associated with writing and a public career in arts, communications or publication. Famous Gem MCs are Woody Allen, Jack Kerouac, and Madonna (and maybe one day Gemini Nymph too ). IP: Logged |

I'd like to think that I am artistic. I am a free-lance make-up artist. I also do various other things like make jewelry, sew, write, and make random odd gifts for my friends. Doing make-up is my favorite though. I need to be doing something creative, and unique all the time or my head will come off. Eventually I hope my career will be to do something creative & artistic. I heard a quote once that went something like this: An artist keeps on doing what they love to do, whether they get paid or not! You can see my Sun/Moon/Asc posted below. I have the most 'stuff' in my 5th house: Venus, Mars, Uranus, N Node, Pars Fortunae and Vertex. Followed by the 4th: Sun, Pluto & Mercury. Pisces MC. ------------------ ~Libra Sun / 29* Gemini Rising / Aquarius Moon~ IP: Logged |

I know many folks with libra placements who are very good artists. I read that something in my horoscope meant great artistic talents..but I suck at drawing. OHH no I remember, it was talking about my pisces venus, saying I was a good artist in my head, like by writing poetry. This sort of reminds me of a song -- "she's the sunset shadows, she's like Rembrandt's light.. " ------------------ aquarius sun, pisces rising & venus, scorpio moon, pluto & eros Love is a burning thing and it makes a firery ring bound by wild desire I fell in to a ring of fire... M. C. Escher's work is a perfect representation of Gemini art. I love it-its so cool. Not being pompous or arrogant, but I'm pretty good at art and science in general. I've made people cry through my music. Sag sun, Aqua moon, Cancer rising. Here's a piece of mine, sorry, its kinda choppy and crude. I think Libra's have the best appreciation of the arts even if they're not good at art, but every sign can be artistic.IP: Logged |

Btw, my chart has mostly water and fire- five in fire (four in sag and one in aries) and three in water (all in scorpio). I only have one earth and one air placement. I have all my scorpio placements in the 5th house as well. I think my neptune in cappy singleton (putting imagination into practical use) and moon in aqua singleton creativity) help too.IP: Logged |

its the Venus, Neptune combinations that beautify whatever they touch (you can add Mercury or Jupiter to that also)Pisces and Taures are great dancers Cancer and Scorpio are hilarious (touching on truths) Sagitarians are the most graceful walkers (untill they trip) Mercury/Uranus, Mercury/Jupiter, Mercury/Neptune and or Mars in Gemini. Great writers Moon/Neptune poets Taures has a beautiful clear voice. Libra and Leo accessorise, great designers especially jewelery. Aquarians are great sci-fi writers Virgo is so agreeable and interchangeable that they can learn/adapt to anything. Capricorn is beautiful in a very melocholy way, they have great ideas but sometimes lack confidence (especially the Asc.) Aries would be great at anything they try if they will only finish what they start. edit to clarify the above examples are not for sun signs but for planet/angle prominence IP: Logged |

I don't think we can go by Sun sign in this. I think art is designated through certain charts in some manner, but not by simple sun sign. One of the Scorps had a thread on this a while back that gave some of the significators of being artistic. IP: Logged |

I know a scorpio girl who is a very good clothing designer. Of course most of the clothes show a lot of skin, but her prom dresses are very good. She is a great artist in my opinion. I also know a lot of singers who are scorpios. In chorus, there are about 10 of of 23 students. I do write good essays in science. I think that's partly because I have good grammer; other than that though, I really like science. ------------------ aquarius sun, pisces rising & venus, scorpio moon, pluto & eros ;) Love is a burning thing and it makes a firery ring bound by wild desire I fell in to a ring of fire... I think I came out of the womb interested in art. When I first saw an art museum at 6 I had my first "rush" of recognition and I prayed everyday until the age of 10 for God to make me an artist. I work as a graphic artist/designer today.July 11, 1963 7:53AM Cleveland, OH Cancer, Leo Rising, moon Pisces, mercury cancer, venus cancer, mars, uranus and pluto Virgo neptune Scorpio saturn Aqua jupiter Aries IP: Logged |

Here's a link to the previous thread about creativity: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/006113.html Unfortunately, the article the thread linked to is now missing. However, Angela (ScotScorp) does reference the article quite a bit in response to me and others. The guy who wrote the article in addition to being a professional astrologer is a musician who's played with the likes of Stevie Wonder, so he's been around. IP: Logged |
