Requires a touch of math.

My Jupiter/Pluto midpoint is conjunct Mars within a couple degrees at around the 28th degree. It's also opposite my Ascendant.

Oooooo my Jupiter/Pluto midpoint squares my Mercury

*edited to add

I didn’t calculate too early for that.
What I did do was go to the “Extended Chart Section” in astro.com clicked on “Pullen/Astrology” ( which is above the “please select the type of chart you want” bit )

Then on the “please select the type of chart you want” bit, select “aspect/midpiont grid chart”.
The planets are going diagonally down through the middle, find Jupiter and Pluto to see what sign they’re in.

I hope that’s the quickest way.

First thing I have to say is wow, this guy REALLY knows his sh!t- i'm gonna see if I can find any of his books in the library one day. Thanks AG

-My Mars in Scorpio squares my Jupiter/Pluto midpoint in 0.37 degrees Leo/Aqua
-My Mercury and Mars in Scorpio both conjunct Pluto in Scorpio

Is there such a thing as a fixed point? I know there is an Aries point for cardinal signs but is there one for fixed signs?

Thanks AG!!

Over the last year or so I have been working with mid-points in my interpretations and they are accurate!! The mid-point grid located at Astro.com is so simple to reference!

Kim Falconer's site discusses aspects in synastry at several threads within the forum there. Good reading as well!

http://erosastrology.proboards26.com/index.cgi

This forum is pretty intense and the members are well-read and eager to learn. If you page through the various sections...you will find a plethora of useful information as well!! Mid-points are always being discussed as integral points to be included-especially when events and synastry are activated.

Everyone can even look at their own charts, note their mid-points and then see how often your partner's personal planets conjunct or aspect these points of yours!!
I have found this practice to have amazing results!!

Thanks again for bringing this important astro-knowledge to everyone's attention AG!

Thanks for that info & link AcousticGod. Wow!

Gem Star -

How do you get to that easy Midpoint grid
at astro.com?

I was also wondering what would happen if you took that Jup/Pluto Midpoint and compared it to a partner's Chart. Example: If your Jup/Pluto Midpoint was Conjunct someone else's Venus, would that mean that you would seek or find success through a romantic liason with them? That type of thing.

Nevermind, I found it. It's under the GROUP option PULLEN/ASTROLOG. I've never tried this one. I've been using the noendpress.com one at www.noendpress.com/pvachier/midpoints/index.php

The astro.com one looks complicated at first glance! I have no idea what I'm looking at. Help!

I have my Jupiter/Pluto midpoint (Jupiter) opposite Venus in Pisces, trine Mercury in Taurus, and Uranus in Capricorn.

Oddball,

He didn't say much about those points, other than the Aries point, but he did mention Madonna's being at the 29th degree being a point in the Mutables, so logically it might seem to follow that the first 10 degrees or so are Cardinal followed by 10 degrees of Fixed followed by 10 degrees of Mutable.

Here's to us Mars in Scorp folks.

Since no one seems to be able to figure out how to read the midpoint grid on astro.com, I recommend you go to the link I posted above. You'll want to focus on the NEAR, not the FAR.

As far as interpreting them, that's gonna require a little more research. Midpoints are always being studied.

Remember to enter the Degrees in the fields too.

Hey-Did you all figure out how to use the Pullen chart for mid-points yet??

When I first glanced at this odd grid, I was overwhelmed as well....it is actually very simple.

First, decide on your initial planets you want to begin with.

Let's choose Venus and Moon.

We want to check the Venus and Moon midpoint.....Start at the block that has the VENUS symbol inside it....move your finger up TWO blocks to the line that began with the MOON symbol...this block will be to the right of the MOON block TWO spaces...and there you have it!! This block (intersection of Venus and Moon lines) will contain your mid-point calculation for your Venus-Moon mid-point.

Continue the same way with any two planets...find the FIRST planet then move up or down to meet the block located on that line which intersects the SECOND planet. Basically, where Planet A intersects Planet B. Does this make sense?

You can double check yourself by doing a calculation by hand, and then checking the Pullen chart to make sure you have the hang of it. Once you figure it out, have loads of fun checking your natal, synastry or important transit dates using this grid!!

Hopefully I used a reasonable example so that you can easily read your mid-points!

Hey AJ-I just now came back online since yesterday...

Hopefully you can read your Pullen chart now with the above post!! Good Luck and have fun with it. Many astrologers consider mid-points to be important. Their activations are interesting to note (within ONE degree orb) and seem to be prominent within synastry between good matches! It has been amazing!

Acoustic I have the conjunction of pluto and jupiter, but uranus there too throws it off. So while fascinating as a theory I seem to have the ability to screw up everything royally unless I am working as team. Which leads me to believe anyone can be successful if they stick to the principle-birds of a feather flock together.

Thanks for article, it's appreciated,

Natasha
