What does it mean in synastry when the North Node of a person is exactly opposite the South Node of the partner, and viceversa?Thanks in advance IP: Logged |

That would mean your North Nodes are in the same sign.... things to work on in this lifetime.. So you have similar karmic themes....similar past life karma. Yet also, it means that you were born near the same time..
the Moon nodes are important to synastry.. I'd look to other cross aspects for importance... angles.. luminaries/personal planets.IP: Logged |

Ok, and how about when the North Node of a person is exactly opposite the North Node of the partner, and viceversa? Is this aspect between the nodes more powerful than the conjuction?

Yes, hello to you astro junkie, and to the forum too. I didnt introduce myself, I guess I didnt noticed because Ive been reading the posts here for so long now that in a way i feel part of it already. As i said before in another post, in the past I never really believed in astrology, I was the kind of girl who would roll her eyes at someone reading the horoscope, sitting next to me during the commute. That was until I came across one of the books of Linda Goodman (Sun Signs), someone who really knew how to present and explain astrology in such a professional way (besides the incredible quality of her writting, I must admit). Thanks for the links, Im a frequent reader of Cafe Astrology, very complete indeed. The bad thing about it, lol, is that I dont get enough of it. I guess its one of those wonderful websites that serves a purpose, they present the relevant topics -in a complete way sometimes- but if you want to go even deeper into that...ah..the bookstore. A note on that, I have bought astrology books without reference really, and sometimes, theyre such a fiasco, I mean, compared to the depth and variety of info of some websites and forums that -theorically- youd expect to be pretty casual.
Right now, im very interested in figuring out how the moons nodes work, since i have this friendship with someone -whose moons nodes are exactly opposite mine, north node conjuncts my south node, and vice versa- and it feels so weird...
I dont think I have heard Linda, its a mp3 file or sth?, where can i listen to it? Thanks for telling me.

Since the North node is our future goals in life and the South node our past, a North-South conjunction (conjunction means "energy is combined with) South-North conjunction between two people is a challenge. On the helpful side, each one pulls the other into the future, on the less helpful side each pulls the other back into their past. This can result in each person encouraging the "past" focus of the other...since this results in a "present" focus for them. This tension between future/past goals between two people can seem "wierd" at times!  Giving the basics, Tim ------------------

Astro Junkie... I wanted to listen too, but all I am getting when I click on the "Part 1" link that is supposed to download part one of the tape is a page that is covered with programming language.  Is the link not working anymore or does anyone know what could be the problem?IP: Logged |
