I was reading around the board and got to thinking about my 10th house having Mar's and Saturn sitting next to each other. I NEVER had any idea what I wanted to do with myself when it came to career and absolutely hate to have a ton of attention on me.. I was always best with doing things on my own. You tell me what to do and I do it kind of thing... I'm still learning astrology and I have a hard time with my own chart. I know that when I do something I do it well.. I guess that's the virgo perfectionism thing going on. but I've had such a hard time when it came to work. I haven't worked in a couple years now. Thankfully My husband understands and considerate of my anxiety issues as well. But eventually I gotta get off my butt and figure it out LOL

I'd appreciate if anyone could look at my chart and give me their opinions.

Not sure how to post a picture in my thread so I'm using a url for my Chart. I hope thats ok. Thanks so much!

First, I wonder why you call yourself "Cancer Moon." YOur Aries Moon rules your Cancer Sun.

Second, the chart you show is incorrect for the data given, probably from omitting the LMT conversion. YOur correct Ascendant is 5 Sag. 18, with Midheaven at 22 Virgo 42, which puts Saturn in the 9th house, tho still conjunct the Midheaven and Mars.

This gives great determination to succeed. It also gives you the kind of public image that should get you hired. However, the rest of the chart suggests a lack of self-confidence, and the Virgo MC is such a perfectionist that it would be difficult to get anything done because you would be trying too hard to get it just perfect.

Your first task is to realize that you are already perfect--you must be because a fourth house cusp in Pisces declares you a "born master." However this has been obscured by the desperate struggle just to survive--either physically, or as "who you really are."--Aries Moon.

The truth is that you can do anything, survive against all odds, but you have to do it yourself, find your own answers.

Chances are you would do best in the health field--you might want to consider some studies in psychology, which will help you as you learn.

Rev.Alice, Thank you for answering me. I appreciate that. By the way I'm an Alice.

The Name I just couldn't come up with anything.. I've been asked this before the other day.. I just used Cancer my sun and since it's ruled by the moon. I just put them together.. I should have thought that through? LOL

A friend of mine told me before that I'm a Saggie NOT a Scorp.. but I didn't understand about the chart.. So I appreciate that.. I just don't know enough. Thank you for pointing that out. How do I change my chart for it to work?

Yes I have a bad problem with Self-Confidence... I've been told so many times to go for the health field. But I am terrified to have someone elses life in my hands... now seeing your thoughts.. I just lack the confidence. Really makes me look at myself differently LOL I Appreciate your response very much.

Alice,

Different astrologers use different methods...there is even a completely different zodiac system (called the Sidereal Zodiac) for some types of astrology! I am going to use the chart you originally submitted, which was correctly created according to today's commonly accepted rules of creating astrological charts in Western Astrology (as the astrology which this list uses is called).

So, looking at the chart you posted and looking at your question:

quote:
...my 10th house having Mar's and Saturn sitting next to each other. I NEVER had any idea what I wanted to do with myself when it came to career and absolutely hate to have a ton of attention on me.. I was always best with doing things on my own. You tell me what to do and I do it...I know that when I do something I do it well...I've had such a hard time when it came to work. I haven't worked in a couple years now...my anxiety issues...eventually I gotta get off my butt and figure it out...

If we look at the chart you posted we see:
Mars (being, also action) conjunct (energy is combined with) Saturn (duty, also career, structure), which indicates, as you say, "I know that when I do something I do it well". There is a need to put a definite, applied structure to all actions.

You also have Scorpio (transformation, also control) modifying Uranus (friends, also rebellion, unstructuring, innovation) conjunct (energy is combined with) your Ascendant (self), indicating, as you say "absolutely hate to have a ton of attention on me.. I was always best with doing things on my own". Here there is a need to be independent and in control of anything which involves yourself.

Now let's take a look at these two energies and see how they work together in your chart. On the one hand, you want to "actively structure" the things in your career, while on the other, you want to "controlling UNstructure" those things which directly affect you. This is similar to someone who is continually building things up and tearing things down. If this energy is not carefully challenged usefully into business projects the person can tend to become self (and career) destructive.

Now let's take a look at the energy around you (transits). In late 2004 transiting (planets in the sky) Uranus began to conjunct your Nadir (inner world), forcing INTENSE inner restructuring, destructuring, reexamining all the things you keep deep inside you to help you decide who and what you are. This may have caused inner rebellion, issues with close family members, realigning who your "friends" and "enemies" are and other things. But what it ALSO did was disrupted any steady, structured approach to life (which affects career).

However, you have had this new inner "Uranus" energy for awhile and you are probably learning how to USE it so it becomes less destructive and more "innovating", which is useful because this is a LONG transit (it will be over around February 2007). So do what you said you would do: "get off my butt" and get out there and start innovating, using your new-found inner awareness.

You might discover that you no longer can work in a structured environment dictated by others...instead you want to CREATE the structure. This would suggest being a consultant of some type and using your "people connections" to get business. But, if you are not comfortable with this idea, accept that business is about structure and redesign your attitude so you can accept the structures being in business puts on you.

Another thought, not related to career...as to "I NEVER had any idea what I wanted to do with myself" may have something to do with having Neptune (spirituality, also confusion) focused in the 1rst house (being). This indicates there may be some confusion in your knowing who you are and, therefore, what you want to do. Hopefully, after further self-examination, this confusion will lessen and you will have a better idea of who you are. And learning astrology can help with this self-discovery process.

Finally, about the "A friend of mine told me before that I'm a Saggie NOT a Scorp" comment. Using this chart, we see you have Jupiter (expansion, also wisdom, teaching) conjunct Midheaven (outer world)...and Jupiter rules Sagittarius. In addition you have your North node (future goals) focused in the 9th house (expansion, also wisdom, teaching)...which is also related to Sagittarius energy. So maybe that is what your friend meant!

And if you want to "figure it out" with astrology, the link below maybe of some help!

Trying to help others understand themselves,

Tim

I have a bit of a different outlook at your Chart. I'm thinking that you need to work from home, or have your home open to others regarding some sort of aid or support you can offer. I feel this so strongly.

And the other big point that comes to me is that you very much belong to others and the world. It's like you have a really strong sacrificial theme going on. Your Neptune in the 1st House gives you the power to connect to others almost effortlessly. Perhaps this is what makes you feel a little afraid, or gives you a feeling of having a lack of identity. But oddly enough, I think that natural interconnectedness you have with everything and everyone around you IS your identity.

Don't know if that makes any sense. You may be interested in the metaphysics and techniques on how to process your ego. It's not like you have to give up your ego, but find healthy ways to not let it make you second-guess yourself.

Any feedback on this is welcome. I always say, I could be totally off cuz I really don't know you, but that's the feeling I get.

Tim, First I want to thank you for you thoughts on my chart. It's nice to see different ways of looking at my chart.

You are right. When I find something I create my own Routine or way of doing it.. but I have to understand or feel confident in whatever activity/job I'm doing.

I'm very independent.. My friends would tell you I am not like most people. Very controlled.Yes I'm good at the building and tearing down of things... I feel very out of control in my personal life and obviously with career.. As I could never figure out what I wanted to do with myself. I never had one talent or goal.. it was always changing.

I've had a lot of Changes within my family and friends.. I've felt i've had to push those around me away.. they are so much more needy compared to me and I feel like my attention and energy has been everywhere for years now.. always being pulled in different directions.. which harbors my marriage as well.

Yes I like to be in control, to be happy i will have to do things my way. I need to change my way of thinking on this entire issue.

I've always been curious about Neptune in my first house.. I just haven't found much on it and didn't know how to apply it to myself. I know I'm a big dreamer.. I can dream up anything but I never knew how to apply any of my dreams. I just feel so unmovitaved and unstructured at times. I think figuring out who I am is a very big thing i've needed to do for so long.

It's interesting to see the sag energy in my chart.. Thank you so much for all your help!

Astro Junkie, Thank you as well for you different thoughts on everything about my chart. I appreciate every point of view on this!!

When I saw Sacrificial I couldn't help but laugh.. that is so true.. MY family has been a huge sacrifice in my teenage years actually well before that.. I am the oldest in a large family and I had to stop my own life in order to make sure all of my siblings were taken care of.. I had to play mommy, nanny and friend. Sister wasn't even a part of it. I did this until about 4years ago.. and Something pushed me out the door.. which I am thankful for they were ok on their own but I couldn't or wouldn't feel ok unless I was there to see for myself.. I got married and still have had to sacrifice my own life at times.. for major things that have come up. Now that i'm on my own.. the only thing I've ever known that I wanted was children which hasn't been easy either nor possible for a few years now.. but I realized recently that I need to focus on something else..kids will eventually come.. but as you said I do tend to connect with people.. almost as if I'm a sponge.. but I tend to push people away when they attach to much to me. I feel people out and know how to connect with them.. but once my energy feels taken I move back and try to control myself again. But I think what you are saying makes sense.. Thank you so much!!!

You asked how to chang your chart. Here is an explanation and instructions.

To get a correct chart, the clock time (either standard or daylight, etc.)
must be converted to Local Mean Time. Without doing this, all charts for a
given north or south latitude, within a time zone (as +6 hours) will have
the same ascendant, even if they are several hundred miles apart. Local
Mean Time can be understood as Sun Time, as it is based on the time when the
Sun moves across the chart's location.

Without making this adjustment, charts can easily be 15 or more degrees off
at the ascendant because clock time can differ from sun time by as much as +/- 30 minutes.

Some programs appear to make the adjustment, but very often this is simply a reference to the fact that virtually all computer astrology programs know when and where daylight time, wartime, etc. has been used and they make the proper adjustments for these practices automatically. That is not the same as the LMT adjustment, which should follow it.

Many of you are using astrodienst. To get the correct chart from them,
select "manual time zone", then cursor all the way down. At the bottom is
LMT. This is what you want for a correct chart.

Glad that you could relate to what I was trying to say. Even after reading your response, I STILL think you belong to the world! The challenge is to find a healthy balance between what you give of yourself, and not losing yourself. I think that is a universal challenge we all undertake in our lives.

Even if someone appears to pull it off, or if they seem to have a very healthy ego, at the end of the day they must be at peace with themselves. This is where I think you have an advantage. You WILL be at peace at the end of the day, so don't get too wrapped up in the actual process.

You are attracting those with nervous neediness, is that right? I'm thinking it's because your Venus is in Gemini in the 7th House. Your Venus is about what you attract to yourself subconsiously. Gemini Rules Communication, and the 7th House is the House of Partnership. So it is no wonder that you attract all kinds of people, but their temperaments tend to be "nervous" and quite demanding of your attention.

Keep this in mind and it will remind you to stay calm and keep your boundaries intact. I think you trying to find yourself in this process is just the beginning of the journey. You'll get it!

Rev. Alice, Thank you for helping me figure out how to change my chart. When I changed it I saw where you were coming from when speaking about my chart. My mom would agree with you by the way LOL

Astro Junkie, yes I fight so hard not to lose myself.

Most people in my life have been very needy. They want me to do so much for them and it's difficult. They are all VERY demanding people.

I hope that I figure this all out soon enough.. I dont care for the lost feeling.

Thank you!!
