Hi Rev. Alice -

I was reading what you wrote regarding the important of the 7th House, among other things in Synastry, and would like to know what you think of these placements. Feel free to be as brief as you'd like.

A's Mars & Venus in B's 11th House
A's Moon & Jupiter in B's 1st House

Thank you very much.

If anyone else would like to offer their insights as well, of course, I'd love to know.

Thanks.

I was intrigued by that as well and I concur with her. I have always thought the 11th house gets ridiculous short shrift in all the lovey dovey romance conversations. The whole 7th house gets overkill.

I read a wonderful piece on this 11th house issue by an astrologer on the West Coast whose name escapes me. He also talks about the notion of the 11th house being so important because it also represents that which we wish for, long for. Love does not work for me if there are not many 11th house and Mercury contacts. But then again I am a Gemini Sun & Mercury with Sag rising and thus Gem on the Descendant.

LilyGirl: You are right! 11th house is frienships, if you cannot be friends with your lover- relationships are an uphill climb. All of the Venus/Mars/Moon/Asc... ANY aspect are laid to waste without the warmth of simple, yet vastly important friendship. 11th to me is not given the nod because of it's seeming lack of intensity. Not so!

Don't forget; 11th house also includes secret wishes and hopes.

Thanks for that link LILYGIRL. Interesting insights from this guy Basil Ferrington. That's the 2nd article I read from him, and he's got a different way of seeing things, makes me think.

I'm curious as well about A/B's Jup in B/A's 1st house as I share that with someone. There was thread on here I believe that said something about being hard to break free from? Gonna try and find the link.
