Well, Mars seems to have been in Taurus for ever and a day, and it is WORSE than Merc Retro. I separated from my husband in September, came to London and started my own business (which is going VERY slowly) and worse, I can't get a job to tie me over whilst I get my business up and running. I have gone for all types of jobs, from badly- to well- paid, and I just can't get them. In a sense it is perhaps good that I did start my own business, because if I hadn't, I wouldn't have made any money at all by now (wouldn't have spent as much, but that's another thing).

I just seem to be totally INVISIBLE. I am with several agencies and have kept in regular contact, and they all say the same thing, oh, there's nothing about at this point in time, wrong time of year, etc. Eventually I said to one of them, "Ha! Well, last autumn you were telling me it was the wrong time of year and things would pick up in January. And now you're telling me yet again that now is the wrong time of year. So, apparently, ANY time is the wrong time of year. I don't buy what you're saying!"
And they were temporarily dumbstruck.

Also, I have a lot of problems with emails not reaching destination/delays with parcels turning up, credit cards being wrongly charged etc. It seems to have been reaching a climax during the last couple of weeks, and is immensely frustrating. Then I also had an article done for me by the local press which I thought was going to be fairly comprehensive and detailed. As it was it was about 100 words long and the picture made me look like I, uh, wasn't "all there"! "Who the hell is going to buy anything from me looking like that?" I said to a Scorpio friend. "Oh, they might," he said. "Perhaps they'll feel sorry for you!" It annoys me when I try to put my best efforts in to make myself look good and things just end up looking totally crap - and tcwilson, if you're reading this, I know you're perhaps going to say "put yourself in the other person's shoes" - well, I do, but some people just seem to be so - INEPT!!!!! - and I wonder whether they are out to undermine me deliberately.

I am doing absolutely everything within my power to try and get the show on the road, I am not sitting around doing nothing, and, Mars in Taurus notwithstanding, I wonder whether things are ever going to get better. I think, it shouldn't be THAT difficult to earn my keep, I have no dependants.

My husband didn't even WANT to work but people came up and gave him jobs possibly because of the way he looked - I don't know -he was good-looking, but a lazy bugger. People do NOT seem to want to give me work even though I put my all into the job in hand. Some have said it's because they probably look at my CV and say it's too broad, or that I seem too intelligent, and they think I'm not going to be there for that long; I have also been self-employed for 5 years. I'm in a Catch-22 situation, I can't even get a supermarket job because really, I'm overqualified. But at the same time I need to be NOTICED and LISTENED TO by the people that matter. I have noticed that a lot of people in my personal life do not listen to what I say (although I listen very intently to them). And this is not through my being a shrinking violet, because believe me, I am anything but. How can I make people listen to me and make myself heard? Do I have to be a total b*tch, or what? It is very frustrating!!

I am becoming utterly cynical and even though Mars is moving out of Taurus in - what, 3 weeks, or is it 4? I find myself thinking "yeah, RIGHT..."

Anyone else have a desperately slow 6 months?

Awh...Jeez...just heard that a guy I was at school with, that I was obsessed with for years is getting married...and also that the advisory panel of a design show that I was hoping to exhibit with has rejected my application not because the designs were bad but because it was "too decorative" and they felt it wouldn't fit in with the rest of the show.

F-ing hell. Why won't anyone give me a bite of the cherry? Things are getting WORSE, not better. Everything I do, I do for nothing, it seems.

It's all a load of crap.
I'm going back to bed. Well, actually, I can't. I have an interview for a telesales position this afternoon - can see I'm probably gonna be stuck doing that for the rest of my life. Whoop-de-do.

Well, I got the telesales job,(which I guess is a blessing in disguise), plus a rejection from an illustration agency and a call from the bank saying they wouldn't give me any more money.

It's amazing how everyone wants to take your money, but no-one wants to give you any.

One thing's for sure: if your horoscope says one thing, read the opposite. So if your horoscope says you're going to have a fantastic year, *go figure*

Ariestiger, it sucks but it's true, most companies hire after the holidays in late Jan. because they do not want to pay new hires holiday pay. The probationary period ends around late spring-no holidays there. It's calculated.

I was in the same positon this fall-no work at all except retail the worst, Sick all the time, always working and then broke it off with the Cancer at Christmas.

Now companies are finally coming to me after being angry and yelling forever.

Just got two offers from a company that ignored me for a year, one in NYC and one in Boston, now it's a question of where?? I met a Pisces near Boston who is drawing me there and we can carpool, (he pointed out). So of course that would be almost too easy.

I advise you to look at what's easiest for you physically right now, do not resist the small changes, do realistic goals, take jobs that pay you money, have good working hours, conditions, find friends to talk to who are going through exactly the same thing. Cut out those who are not, or more family oriented. For me that meant no people with children, only career driven people, such as the Pisces who is always talking career.

Be pushy and demanding of others like yourself and see a career counselor who can guide you. It's not a luxury it's a necessity. And have you seen a therapist for your own mental health?
Again, it's a necessity. Mine really helped point me in the right direction regarding my own business. I won't support it, the biz must support itself.

Good Luck and hang in there, don't stop interviewing or calling and network with other professionals every week. Your career center must have a group. It sounds corny but GO! WE are similar as I have Mars/Sag conjunct Ascendant, and Jupiter/10th house trine Sun. That translates into big fire person, who likes to get things done and manage others. Drives others crazy until I am in the right spot but then everyone loves me.

You just need the right spot and keep talking until you get the support you need, especially chat up men as work finding friends.

And banks always pay notoriously low in every country. Stick to financial service companies, mutal fund companies, anything financial that's not a BANK! The one I worked for this summer expected us to pay for our own coffee:< Banks are good for those who have children and expect to stay there for 20 years, which you are not that type.

Being more driven look for companies with growth. Sales is cool, be strong:>

Hugs,
Natasha
