Here Arnicka I got this off of bob marks site. Juno Aspects the Mid-Heaven: Aspects to the Mid-Heaven affect one's career and "public image." Juno-ruled careers include marriage councilor and people who work in organizations that try to prevent wife-battering and child abuse. Like Venus, Juno has an attraction for all occupations that involve beauty and adornment. This also includes anything involving the arts. When it comes to career, it doesn't matter if an aspect to the Mid-Heaven is harmonious or stressful. In fact, the stressful aspects can frequently bring greater success since they generate more power. Those with harmonious aspects may take it too easy and not push hard enough. I don't understand why he doesn't have Vertex aspects on there as well.

Well, lookie what I found, Salisa... You and the President have the same aspect! Oh and thanks 4 that info. Vertex is a secondary DESC apparently, gosh ha I'll just post what i found cos I dont know how 2 finish that sentence. quote: Vertex trine Midheaven Your career progress happens almost of its own accord as you quite naturally search out the areas where you can do well with your gifts.
Sure you wanted more... Dont know what this interp has 2 do w/secondary DESC action.. If I find something else Ill post it.

OK here's something else, not exact but in the 2nd bit theres some xtra info quote: Pottenger similarly regards both the Vertex and the West Point (or Equatorial Descendant) as being akin to auxiliary descendants, showing the emotions and experiences sought through close personal relationships, and the qualities that one is inclined to project onto others, unconsciously seeking their expression in them. In the case of the Vertex especially, she perceives this projection mechanism as externalising responsibility for a part of one's own self, and tending to attract the characteristics of this ceded part in others in exaggerated form.Donna Henson, citing Delphine Jay as a source, additionally characterises the Vertex as showing how one is perceived by others on the basis of one's past actions and one's personality, as indicated by the Midheaven and Ascendant; and what others expect one to do, with positive self-development rewards to be reaped if one succeeds in doing this, and negative consequences for personal integration if one fails.
http://groups.msn.com/HOROSCOPESCHAT/angles2.msnw "Positive self-development rewards" - Im guessing the trine would be the most gifted 4 this = Perceived well in the greater world [MC] due to past actions, perhaps? Here's something else quote: ***Special points in your chart*** Midheaven - This is the same as the cusp of your tenth house. The Midheaven refers to how we rise and fall in life, our social position and our orientation to our family, culture and history. Vertex - A point in our chart were we tend to feel out of control. It is a place where we easily give ourselves over to something beyond the scope of our own life.
http://www.artcharts.com/learn_astrology/glossary.html So combining those energies to work well together, meaning that you have special gifts in those areas. Does that make sense? By these interps it's sounding here like the Vertex is a combo of Neptunian and Plutonian energies. So maybe if you combined interps of Neptune and Pluto trine MC youd get the same thing? Hope im not reaching 2 far IP: Logged |

I have a question. My Vertex is in the same Sign as my Sun, Libra. But it is closer by aspect to my Mars in Scorpio, by 5 Degrees. What is your opinion on how to view this? ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

Do you mean that the aspect is conj? Meaning Mars in Scorp out-of-sign conj by 5 deg Vertex in Libra?"Vertex - A point in our chart were we tend to feel out of control. It is a place where we easily give ourselves over to something beyond the scope of our own life." Regarding this definition, and applying it to a conj to Mars, Im somewhat clueless.. But here's what I found on the 'net: quote: Mars conjunct Vertex. The unexpected will involve you in a torrid or violent situation where your strong emotions take you over and you or the other person lose self restraint.
This is sounding more like an amplified version of Mars conj DC. Then combine it w/the environment of whatever house they fall into since most likely it's the same. Im sure the influence wouldnt be as strong since its out of sign, tho thats my op on aspects. edit: If i find something else Ill post it IP: Logged |

AJ, something else, but just based on sign quote: Libra: In this lifetime, the individual will be drawn into learning how to bridge opposing factions, to mediate compromises, to restore fairness and to bring harmony out of conflicting issues in order to re-establish peace and order. Because the anti-vertex is in Aries, the individual must not allow personal desires to influence the situation. The individual must not take sides or impose the personal ego. The need is to detach the self, make no judgments and establish harmony that would benefit the whole rather than any specific individuals.

Arnicka -Thanks for your thought on my Vertex. The excerpt on that Vertex/Mars aspect is not far from my experience. Yikes! Salisa -
Arnicka got that interp on the Vertex aspect from a site which did a sample reading on Adolf Hitler. It does NOT include bunches of other aspects, it just happened to be that the Vertex aspect I was asking about was in that sample reading ::: www.kozmikhoroscopes.com/hitler.htm ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

Oh - Arnicka -You asked what House this Vetex/Mars aspect is in - my 6th. Mercury is 8 Degrees from my Vertex too. I like REALLY tight orbs, so I don't take it as a strong Conj, but it's also in the 6th. Seems to be even more emphasis on my health. Stuff for me to think about. Azalaksh -
Thanks for that link. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged | |
