I know what you mean about the bulk of a house being occupied by the next sign after the one on the cusp -- my Asc is 29 Leo. So although I appear truly Leonine at times to others, I also exhibit Virgoan traits.....

And yes, I believe that the sign IN the house has a major influence also. I have Capricorn/Cancer intercepted in the 5th/11th -- 29 Sag on the cusp of the 5th and 1 Aqua on the cusp of the 6th.....

To answer your question yes especially if you have a planet in the sign that is taking up so much space. You can have an Aquarian ascendant with Moon in Pisces in the 1st house and this can color the way you look and act. The Moon example above would give you a round face and make you somewhat passionate as if your moon were in Aries.

Put Jupiter there is the likely hood that you may have red hair and be boisterous and jovial.

That's the sign people usually seem to guess as being my Sun sign...either that or my Ascendant (obviously, being Virgo).

I've brought the same thing up many times because my Asc is Taurus at 29.50 Degrees, so Gemini takes up most of my 1st House. Conversely, that would make your Descendant the exact same Degrees (don't know if you noticed that)...

So when they speak of the Descendant's meaning, such as, it gives some indication of THE TYPE of person you are drawn to, you would combine the two Signs. Example: My Descendent is Scorpio 29.50, but has strong Sag energies. So when it comes to a soul mate connection, I'd feel drawn to people who have both Scorpio & Sag characteristics. Doesn't mean you are drawn to that Sign specifically (necessarily), but someone with that temperament - passionate and straightforward.

I have not gone as far as to do this same exercise with the IC & MC (4th & 10th House Cusps), but I'm gonna take a look now.

So, you have a Leo/Virgo Desc thing going. I wouldn't look to the Sign of Leo or Virgo, but would you say that you are drawn to very shiny people? Comfortable in public, refined in their tastes?

Sounds like more of a Planetary influence than a Sign influence, cuz you describe more of a Gemini trait. But Gemini & Virgo are Ruled by Mercury. Interesting.

My Descendant is 29* Sagi. Interestingly enough, my boyfriend is a Sagi and he has Saturn conjunct his Ascendant. So I get both Dsc signs taken care of.
