I think it's just the human condition to, AT TIMES, wait too long for something to trigger progressive action in them. Some people hold on to life so much, they are forever happy never taking significant risks. To them, they win, because they never lost anything. Others take risks, but are rather smart and genuine about it. And yet others don't come to their senses until they look around and realize their worst fear has come true. How low do you have to go before you take progressive action?

Are we dependent on those particular triggers?

Do we ever really change that? Could it be super ingrained and better kept in place and improved upon?

I used to stay in adverse situations for a long time, because I wanted to give things a fair chance or because the timing would not have been right. But now I trust myself to make educated decisions about what is working, and what is not.

And somehow, I do believe there are astrologically favourable and non-favourable times. And I also believe in the power of autosuggestion, as in, manifesting positive changes.

How might a Mars placement contribute to this?

Hey AJ...Interesting question!

My natal Mars (Gem) is exact square to my Pluto and Uranus (Vir) conjunction. I rarely stay in a difficult/bad situation too long. It is rather interesting yet frustrating to me when I see others who sit around until fate/planets do the work for them-instead of moving with pro-active action.

Perhaps it is a certain awareness and fearless gut (Scorp ASC) that propels a person to believe in their intutional guide. It has rarely lead me wrong...even when I can not see in front of me (Scorp Neptune conj ASC). Maybe my Mars moves me to action due to it's intimate connection with Pluto and Uranus. A certain innate understanding of necessary changes that Life is always handing us!!

I would look mostly to people's reluctance to change in their Life. The obvious facts are there in a situation,
but they do not want to SEE it.
And instead, WAIT.
Wait and waste time I feel.

Moving on and letting go is part of the Big Picture here in this Life and so few people find it easy to do...thus, a difficult lesson to learn!!
But once learned...hopefully it gets easier with awareness!! (Though no doubt often with the initial pain of Uranus or Pluto to get the cycle kick-started!!).

It is perhaps, the Lesson of Letting Go, that society somehow has interchanged it's meaning with Quitting that has made it so confusing for us. Accepting that it is OK to Let go and Take charge of change in one's Life by movement up to a better direction towards Happiness. This is essential to one's inner Peace.

(Ok...I am on some spiritual kick today...perhaps giving out vibes of strength to all those who are struggling to choose to Let Go and allow the winds of change to carry them to higher places!)

GemStar -

I like the point you made about the meaning of "letting go" vs. "quitting", and how they become interchanged. Maybe someone with a challenging Mars makes a bee-line to quitting because they have no foundation, or don't think they do. For example, if there is a spiritual void, they may believe faith is for suckers, or that hope is just futile. Because letting go means letting go of what you think you currently have control over, and allowing something unknown to enter. Allowing the unknown to enter is done by either quitting, or having a leap of faith.

Yeah ...

And we'll sit around waiting for something or someone to prove to us that there is hope, and sometimes we sit on our astrological Chart and wait for .... well, that's unique to each person.

>>Take charge of change in one's Life by >>movement up to a better direction towards >>Happiness.

Damn right!

'Some people search for happiness as a man searches for a hat that is already on his head'.

Don't know who said it but them's words to remember when you're trying to work out whether you need to actively change your situation, or just your *view* of your situation.

Suppose Happiness itself can be a barrier in progressing as well though. Dunno about you guys/gals, but i tend to go thru long periods of contentment.

Then i wonder if i should throw myself into a more challenging sitution to shake myself up.

Then i usually decide to let the situation find me, and enjoy myself in the meantime, never quite knowing if i'm growing enough as a person, but figuring that since nothing stays the same i might as well enjoy the peace of mind stability brings while i have it

This is one area that seems completely individual to the person. I find within myself I can be stagnant in certain areas while being proactive in other areas. Sometimes life feels a bit pre-ordained as well - like things just start clicking without any determination or conscious action. I think it's too complicated to try to find a universal answer on this. I think you just have to accept and trust the progression your life is taking.
