Hallo All!

I just had my chart whipped out (oo-errr, missus!) by a site on the interweb and, in the written details bit [see below, if anyone's interested], it states that although the Sun is in the 6th, it's interpreted as being in the seventh, contrary to my other chart i've got at home.

There are other signs i would have considered more 'on the cusp', Mars for instance, which remain in their usual houses here.

What's it all about then, this house-jumping lark? Surely if your Sun is right on the edge of one house, it technically remains in that house even if it absorbs some of the qualities from the one it's near..?

Someone set me straight!
Thanking-you-right-in-the-face in advance

Yours Goatily,

Confused,
England

PS: Also, could anyone maybe offer enlightenment as to the implications of the 'stationary' Pluto, and the Retrograde Saturn..?

did you use the same house system in both?

I have my Sun at the end of the 5th house, i tend to blend the energies..

I have my Mars .01 degree on my asc. 12th house side and mostly when annoyed i rant in private....

*tumbleweed rolls past* lol I love that

could the 2nd chart be using a different house system?
This is just my opinion, I think if any planet is really close to the end or begining of a sign that it is influenced by the other sign and I would think that for that houses you would look to the house the planet in, and only look to the house next to it as a minor influence or at the most a 50 50 deal not as one or the other.

Hello F.A.P!

Thanks for replying... i think it's the same house system, yeah. I've used others and had everything swivel around a bit, but this is basically the same as my professional reading i got done, so why this one major planet is interpreted as being in the next house i dont know!

It's a bit bewildering, as i often don't feel that much of a 6th house sun.

(But *always* like a 12th house mars - yep, know what you mean about the ranting in private! Don't suppose the Retrograde helps there, either..? )

the only thing I know of that can change the houses other than the different house systems is birth time. Could the two charts have been drawn up accidentally with slightly different birth times?

Hi Salisa!

Yep, i'm pretty much sure it's the same system.

FYI, here is the actual chart (mine's on the inside, but you get two for the price of one since my fellas is on the outside - i got curious about synastry! ):

Sorry, it's a bit cluttered with asteroids, and all that jazz! But it looks like the same house system as my other one.

Maybe, but my confusion arises from the fact that, as it says on the list of placements in the first post - the sun still *is* in the 6th, but is *interpreted* as being in the 7th.

Even tho it isn't.

In a nutshell, that is what is making my brain complode.

IMO planets on the cusps work for both houses.

Tam,

You said:

Tim, this is a bit cheeky, but i was wondering if you might take a gander at my chart sometime if you have a spare moment? It's tucked away in the House-Jumping thread further down this page (and my boyfriends with it)...it would be really interesting to hear your thoughts..? I'm Tam btw.

Hallo, Tam! *waves, then looks intently at the chart*

Since you have more planets below the chart than above you focus on your inner world more than the outer world.

Since you have more planets on the right of your chart than on the left you focus on others more than yourself.

Since you have the most planets on the bottom right of your chart you use what you know about your inner world to build relations with others.

You have a Grand Square (strong focus of energy) in your chart of Moon (home, also emotions), Mercury (thinking, also talking), Saturn (duty), and Uranus (friends, also rebellion, restructuring). So there is a challenging mix of thinking/talking, duty, friends, and emotions working on "all sides". This could indicate that there is a concern about having the "right" emotions, thinking/talking, friends along with an urge to REBEL against all those "right" feeling, thinking/talking, friends and others around you.

Add to this an Out of Bounds (strong energy) Mars (being, also action) and that Saturn is in a "fate degree" (strong energy, any planet or point in 29 or 0 degrees is in a "fate degree") and there is a STRONG urge to "just do it" (as the Americans say! ). This "urge to do" something is stronger because your North node (future goals) is focused in the 5th house (self-expression), so there is an urge to express yourSELF someway.

But there is a challenge here, since Uranus (friends, also rebellion) is the energy of helping OTHER people and is focused in the 5th house. So the challenge is to express yourself in some way THROUGH other people while at the same time being actively dutiful (but not TOO dutiful! ) to what it seems to you "right" to do.

With Neptune (spirituality, also confusion) conjunct (energy is combined with) Venus (physical, also desires/relationships) conjunct North node, somehow there is a desire to express yourself through spiritual relationships of some sort as well!

Which is a LOT of energy to throw into one little chart! But, as Buddhists might say, you picked this life so now you've got to live it! However, despite the challenges, the potential to spiritually help and nurture others through your own self-expression is a powerful ability to work towards!

Expressively spiritual,

Tim
