I am doing a synastry chart for a couple I know and want to ask anyone how knows: How binding would her sun at 29.40 Sagitarius be to his Saturn positioned at 1.48 Capricorn? Would it be as binding as if they were both in the same sign? Thanks.

I'd focus on the Planets and their attributes first...

There probably would be an undercurrent of 'something', being connected by degree, but the manifestation of energies would still be very different.. so you'd say they were conjunct, but not as binding as an in-sign conjunction...... simply because they'd be very different in expression anyway.

very binding despite being in different signs.
Moreso if her Asc is Leo (ruling planet being the Sun)
And his Asc. Capricorn ruling palnet would be Saturn
