Wouldn't that be some kind of strong past life connection?

Salisa,
www.cafeastrology.com

They have an explanation of these aspects under synastry links. I remember seeing this aspect explained.

Hope it helps!

if your South Node conjuncts their Descendant then your North Node will conjunct their Ascendant.

Well, I have the south node in this position with someone else and it wasn't pleasant for me at all. Maybe because my south node is also conjunct pluto, and that means rigidity.

It was hard but this person taught me about what I need to do in my life, and set me on my current path-at the same time destroying many structures in my life that gave me love and stability.

What I have seen of this connection with this person and others is that it's intense and needs to be handled with care, and sensitivity.

lalalinda you would think it would be conjunct, but jupiter comes in between the north node and AC and doesn't show it as being conjunct. Should I still consider the NN and AC conjunct even with jupiter in between?

dear salisa,

i have this placement with a friend. it's mutual too -- her asc is at 24 aqua and my nn is at 23 aqua. my asc is at 12 libra and her nn is at 12 libra.

i dont know, some might think this would be a fantastic synastry connection, but i dont think its always easy. sometimes i am uncomfortable around this person...there might be other things going on which contribute to this awkwardness however.

for instance, her mars is in leo and mine is in cap. we couldnt be more different in the way we take action. the agressive side of our sexuality is completely different -- she needs tons of attention and i shy from that.

and its funny, she has that aquarian ascendant but i dont see aquarius in her at all, except that she's intelligent, articulate...she likes social groups a lot. to me though aquarians are able to easily detach from sticky emotion, they arent ones to need people generally -- not all the time anyway. they like the not needing. i am familiar with this, i have a strong aquarian signature to my chart -- my chart ruler venus is in aqua and i have uranus smack on the asc.

i dont see a whole lot of this in her, even given the aquarian asc, that mars in leo of hers comes shining through everytime -- she is really a dramatic, showy, loud person. needs the spotlight.

anyways, i would think the NN can still be counted as conjunct the asc in your case as long as we're not talking a giant orb here. with the angles you can go a little (a tad) wider on orb because that's a sensitive point. jupiter too might be on the midpoint between the asc and nn, pulling them in together.

i would think this kind of situation would set up a pleasant experience, with jupiter and the node involved this seems positive, reinforcing.

Kind of uncomfortable for me too, since in my case he had virgo conunct Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter on the 7th, conjunct my South Node. And so my south node was opposite his ascendant. I have Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter trine my Sun and it was not easy, many power trips, with him being the man's man, and I am a woman's woman. No compromise so it changed the way I view power between men and women.

Basically to me it's a perception, if I value myself and insist on being valued by others I am happy with myself-but it's a battle. In his case he felt he was not valued as man, and needed me to be more submissive.

I learned what I can and cannot do, what I have to do, and what others like to do around me, I started to value myself by what others contribute to the relationship not by what I contribute.

Sticky aspect, but uncomfortable,

Natasha

i think 10° is a bit wide...i would keep orbs tight for the most part, but with the node/asc connection that you mentioned, i would at least look at any connection up to 10°. to some extent planets or points in the same sign but far apart in orb still operate as a conjunction, it's just going to be more intense if the conjunction is a really close one in orb.

hope that helps.

Well then since its only a 8 degree orb I guess its conjunct. There are some other NN conjunctions as well NN conjunct Moon orb 1 degree, NN conjunct Venus orb 3 degrees, NN conjunct IC orb 10 degrees, NN conjunction Chiron orb 7 degrees.

Do you know anything about the other NN conjunctions?
