Just realizing something, I don't remember a discussion about this...

Have any of you ever looked at the placement of the MC (Midheaven or 10th House Cusp), and compared it to the placement of the Saturn in the same Chart, since Saturn is Ruled by the 10th House?

I was just thinking, how my MC in Aquarius MIGHT lighten up the effect of my Saturn in Capricorn...

Any ideas? Thanks.

My MC is in Gemini...it's Inconjunct my Saturn in Capricorn (4th House).

I dunno what that's supposed to mean. Most interpretations seem to think my future career is doomed before it's begun, though. Haha, I wish they'd make up their minds. Is it going to be spectacular (Jupiter [Cancer] conjunct MC) or crap (Saturn Inconjunct MC)? Hahaha

hehe... Guess where my MC is, AJ!

In Aqua , although Saturn is in Leo.

Both Saturn in Aqua and Saturn in Leo descriptions seem to suit me well. Saturn in Aqua needs plenty of friends to feel secure (true for me), and Saturn in Leo needs attention, respect, and admiration (which suits me fairly well too, although not as true as Saturn in Aqua).

Maybe you're on to something here... maybe MC in Aqua does mellow out Saturn in Leo for me too.

I don't see how your MC would mellow your Saturn placement.

MC 25 Taurus..... Saturn 29 Libra in III.

The only connection I see is that both Taurus and Libra are ruled by Venus. I like my Saturn exalted in Libra, and I like it in the 3rd as part of my Libra stellium.....

Not sure if there's any "lightening of the effect of Saturn" going on here -- if there is, I'd say it comes from the strength in the Libra stellium.....

1)To AstroJunkie: Though I don't have an immediate answer to your question I thought this was a good question that you posed, because I personally had been thinking about this myself, since career is a big question on my mind these days...My MC is Cancer and my Saturn is in Libra.

2)To LibraSparkle: I was interested when you mentioned that you read both Saturn in Aquarius and your natal Saturn in Leo and that BOTH descriptions fitted you. I never thought of that before and I think I might give that a try. You brought up one way of many ways, I think, of further expanding insight on this situation. Thanks for the info!

3)Welcome to Lindaland Inner depths!

My MC's in Aqua and Saturn in Cappy(/6th) too...okay, so it might lighten up saturn, but since it's opposite my venus, it ruins my happiness anyway so doesn't matter for me.

Saturn Opposite Venus (in gemini/12th) -i hate this aspect.

Taurus/Scorpio/Cancer

Aquarius is also ruled by Saturn...when you say lighten do you mean by lightening?

My Saturn is in Virgo 5th house. My MC im pretty sure is in the last degree or two of Capricorn (or it could be in early Aquarius, but I dont think so).

Work for me is probably related to teaching and children (with Virgo in the 5th house). I never dreamt of being a teacher when I was young, nor did I go to university with the intention of becoming one. I do think I have to teach and pick up a few lessons from children (yes that's right, Im the teacher, but I feel that I need to learn from my students...they dont suspect a thing so that's ok ) before I can move onto anything else.

Do you think you are an airhead?

LibraSparkle -

Yeah, I feel like I'm on to something too. I'm NOT really paying particular attention to any Aspects between MC/Sat, I'm just focusing on the Signs for now, and also noticed an interesting post where there may be a "Saturn House"/"MC Sign" configuration, such as a Saturn in the 3rd House, with the MC in Gemini ...

AcousticGod-

I started reading the responses, and got dizzy when I started to consider the Aspects they included. I don't remember a discussion like this, so I wondered what kind of "relationship" Saturn might have with the MC in terms of the personalities of the Signs.

For example, if I were to ask you, what would you say the most dynamic difference is between the MC & Saturn in a Natal Chart?

Is the MC the "dream", and the Saturn speaks of the very struggle of reaching that dream. Does that make more sense? I'm interested in more, but wanting to start simple. We could even move on to the same type of comparison between the IC/Moon, DC/Venus, Asc/Sun, for that matter. But I'm trying not to scatter it out so much in just one thread. (see what I write here below too...)

breakfast on pluto -

Really cool example!

Azalaksh -

There seems to be a lot info on the Aspects between the "MC & Saturn" - but not much on how each combo would relate to each other in terms of their individual personalities & intentions, sans Aspects.

I'm wondering how much power is there, as well as how the House the Saturn is in may relate to the Sign of the MC. It may sound a bit limited at first, but I'm sure there must be a relationship there which will help us regarding career & work.

taurean_scorpion -

You are focusing much too much on the Aspects. I say this cuz you are already disenchanted with them. But TRY looking at the MC/Saturn relationship as I'm describing in this post. I mean, I refuse to believe there is no work-around for you.

DayDreamer -

I'm glad you asked that cuz it helped me through this post I just wrote above, and tell me what you think. Thanks.
