Hello all!
Would like to turn my astrological studies to progressd charts. What is the correct method? A day for a year? How do you compile one? What are they best used for? What do you look for?
Thanks for the help and input!

hippichick,

There are different kinds of progressed charts. The most common is the Secondary Progressed chart or the "day for a year" chart as you accurately describe it, since one day of life is set equal to one year of time in the chart. Some interpret the Secondary Progressed chart by itself, but I always interpret it by referring back to the birth chart, with the birth chart in the center and the secondary progressed chart on the outside. While some use the secondary progressed chart for timing events, I prefer to use it strictly as a desciription of "inner world" changes we are going through.

Making progress,

Tim

Tim, Thanks, so how do you compile a graphic? Do you count days for years? Ie; I am about to turn 44 so do I count 44 days from my birthday 3/10 and end up with a prog bd as 4/23 and cast a chart from there?
Thank You!!

hippichick,

You can create the chart I described easily on Astrodienst. Just create your own chart, go into "Extended Chart Selection", choose "*Natal Chart and Progressed chart" from the drop-down list, type in the date you want to progress to, and click on "Click here to show the chart".

Progressing,

Tim

Actually I came up with the same chart calculating by hand.
Thanks again.
