I had always thought I had a Cancer rising, but as it turns out my rising is the very last degree of Gemini. The rising sign changed literally in a few minutes from whence I was born!

Once you get into astro.com and start lookin at degrees you realise that yes, you are definitely either 1 or the other.

I think a 'Cusp' is just a fancy way of saying that one may be tuned into the 2 very different frequencies which are the 2 different signs. Personally, I feel the Cancerian-ness that was nearly my rising sign since my 1st house is filled with all Cancer except for that very 1 first degree! But, when someone asks me what my rising sign is, I say Gemini, cuz that's what it really is.
