I was wondering what others thought of this but every person I've met with mercury in Aries has been disguistingly smart. They catch onto things very, very fast. And they are very curious and inquisitive people.IP: Logged |

I know one person who I don't find to be an example of that. I think her intellect is a bit odd, and she certainly speaks before she thinks about what she's saying.IP: Logged |

oddball, I DO know someone like that, with Merc. in Aries, who takes it for granted how easily she catches on. She thinks everyone else is just dumber than her, and she finds that funny. But, she's actually very relationship niave, so it all balances out. IP: Logged |

I'm with AG, however the subject, ie/ Aries merc girl I know has a stellium in Aries in the 1st house though. Asc, Sun, Merc, Mars & Venus. Yes.. she often says things before she thinks them through. I love her though. Her strong impulsive nature is trouble for her. While she may be "smart" she is often perceived as shallow, self-involved and unintelligent and living in her own reality. oddball, what aspects does her/his mercury make to Pluto? Mercury Pluto aspects produce that kind of perception, and intuition? Which house?IP: Logged |

No hard pluto aspects. What would pluto conjunct mercury imply though? Its not in their charts, but I have pluto conjunct my mercury and mars...IP: Logged |

No, not with a Mercury in Aries man that I know. He even admits to being dumb, will volunteer it every so often [insane, I know], in a Keanu Reeves-like sheepishness. No Air, even when including angles - house placements. He's great at being an engineer [complete with degree] but with everything else he admits that he horribly flounders. Interestingly, that actor has only water and earth, with an earth ASC. IP: Logged |

Yes even mercury conjunct mars is smart, or clever, and fast, but not always good at taking care of him or herself. I run into this a lot with mercury in the 7th, in gemini. What ends up happening like with any gift, is that it's used to help others or else it becomes a problem...So eventually not being incredibly life smart myself, I turn to my mercury in aries friends. Hard to be humble enough to do that but they thrive on helping others, makes them puff up and get soft. Attractive people too. Natasha
