In Synastry when the Uranus of one person squares or opposes the Venus of the other, it signifies strong potential for divorce. The Uranus person being that one that instigates it and is the agent for change.

Hi!
My venus (Taurus) oppose my boyfriend uranus,(Scorpio), so the meaning of this is divorce...?!!!!mmmmmmm...., but his venus (scorpio) conjuncts my uranus (scorpio), is there any compensation because of this?
I appreciate your oppinions and suggestions!
thanks!

Unfortunately, no.

Venus-Uranus are the worst possible aspects to have in a relationship, and all the hard ones tend to work out negatively. If you are really aware of it and play along with Uranus (give each other lots of freedom), it shouldn't be that big of an issue.

I want to sort of mitigate this definition..
Yes, Uranus/Venus contacts lend an aura of instability, but I wouldn't think they'd be the end all be all to a relationship.. just that it needs a lot of freedoms, won't be traditional, but it can be dealt with. It's all in the perception, it might just be an unusual one.. with a lot of understanding.. it will surely be attractive and sudden, if not binding.. but with other contacts, it can be seen through...
I'd say the worst it isn't.. the worst I'd give to Saturn-Mars.

my boyfriennd and i have a lot of uranus contacts, and yes we do need a lot of freedom, which we give each other plenty of. let's see, we have venus trine uranus, sun/moon/mercury/mars square uranus. come to think of it, we really don't look, or shall i say feel, like your typical couple, while we do compliment each each other in looks and mannerisms, i feel that when people look at us, they get this, "something is very strange about those two, but they work." hmmm, now i'm getting kinda worried, because uranus is the unexpected planet after all, and we have so many squares. does having uranus in libra and sag make up for all the hard aspects?

In a composite chart, the midpoint of both partners' planets are taken into account to create a totally new chart. In that case, you cannot specify whose Uranus is opposing whose Venus. Right? The only time you can do that is when you compare the natal charts of each individual?

Yeah, that's a good question. I thought the composite was equally valid for both people although not for one over the other specifically. Maybe it's more apparent in the synastry. Any opinions on this?

well, in my case, the midpoint between an opposition and a conjunction is a square, which is not good again! although we are talking about a composite and it affects to both individuals, the meaning of this it is a lack of flow in the energy, isnīt it?

Ciao!
As you did, I have suddenly discovered a lot of activity with uranus!
5 conjunctions, 2 oppositions and 4 squares!
what about the houses? Can it modify something or at least it should specify more the difficults we would have to deal with, wouldnīt it?
his venus is scorpio in 7 house,
my venus taurus in house 10
his uranus scorpio house 6
my uranus scorpio in house 4

Ciao! We will keep in contact to share the evolution!
Thanks all for sharing with me your comments!

whoa, ingrid! and i thought i had a lot of uranus! you have me beat by two aspects! um, as far as i know, uranus in the houses make that part of your chart very unpredictable and unexpected, but hey, i like surprises, so it can't be that boring, i like to think of it as exciting and adventurous. you said his uranus is in house 6, house 6 has to do with service (i'm sorry i can't really remember the themes for each house, but i'm quite sure it has to do with service) so i guess his approach to helping others would be a little odd, like he wouldn't take a generic approach to lending a helping hand to others. i have uranus in my second house, and that i believe is career oriented, and i have to admit, i have come up with some really interesting yet questionable by others, to make money. but i've never really put them into action, my family just tells me i'm ridiculous. oh well, at least i have my boyfriend, and i think he has uranus in his 2 house too, gotta check up on his again.

Hard Uranus aspects are difficult to work through if you do not have Uranus prominate.

In your natal a conjunction/opposition with Uranus to a personal planet would count, therefore you would seek out others with similar Uranus traits.

I am a bit shocked with this influence of uranus....
I like your point of view, ciao, about surprises, I have to admit that from the moment I met this guy, everything was a surprise, I changed my boyfriend, my job, the city where I was living, now I am about to reorient my career, change my city again...maybe it is not him, maybe I am the surprise...
lalalind, I dindnīt understand what you mean about having uranus prominent, how could I know it?
and i guess you are telling me something as If I have this aspects in my chart, I look for people with the same, right? So, that means that I am going to have always "surprising" relationships?
Uf!
Could you take a look to our charts to see this in its context?
mine: http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?rs=3&btyp=w2gw&&cid=7r8fileD5Iv39-u1140633966

my boyfriend: http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?rs=3&btyp=w2gw&cid=7r8fileD5Iv39-u1140633966&nhor=2&go.x=13&go.y=7

I appreciate all your cooments about this situation! Thank you to all of you!
Thank you ciao for your positiveness! Are you happy with your boyfriend despite it is a non-common relationship? I am quite happy although we are in a distance relationship, but we areabout to solve that....hopefully!

you know ingrid, i actually am satisfied in this relationship, which surprised me as time went on because my boyfriend is a musician, and you know how moody musicians can get sometimes and just retreat into their work, but i do the same too. most of my friends still wonder how we're still able to manage each other because they have to see if not talk to their boyfriends at least once a day! but for us, we probably talk omly four to five times a week and only see each other like two times a week. we don't feel the need to be together all the time, and everytime we talk, there's always something interesting to talk about. it must be the uranus contacts again, because we do need a lot of breathing room. most of my ex's used to call me everyday and that would get on my nerves, kinda like, "i just spoke to you yesterday! what could possibly be so interesting or so urgent that you must call me during work?" but i'm sure most women would say that they are just checking up on you to see if you're alright and everything, but still, i find it a little overbearing sometimes. oh, i have jup in sag, in 1st house too. and my boyfriend is a sag rising, shall i say double whammy?

ingrid, judging from your chart, (i'm not an expert but i'll take a stab nonetheless), you have uranus at 9'44", which is neither strong nor weak, however, it's in retrograde (and i'm still trying to find out the effects of retrogrades, i have ven trine nep, both planests in retro!) but i read somewhere that when a planet is in retrograde, you should take a step and ponder a bit about this area how it affects you. and it's in your fourth house too, and this house deals with anything familiar, like family. just a weird question for thought, do like to decorate your home in an-out-of-the-ordinary fashion? let's see, uranus opp. mars/venus, with uranus in scorp and mars/venus in taurus, would it be safe to say that the way how you love and desire sometimes surprises you? and wow, you must be oozing with sex appeal, mars and venus conjunct, in taurus?! oh my, i'm running out of time, need to get back to work, but if i have more time, i can come back and look at other stuff if you want. does anyone else have any input?

Thank you ciao, I am a beginner in this and I am not able to see too much in my charts! But it is the first time someone take a look at them and it is quite funny to read interpretations. Actually, it is true that I like to decorate my house in a non-ikea style, maybe a bit different ha, ha!
how could you see this? Uranus in 4 th house?

About your "potencial" doble whammy, i didnīt understand what you mean, your boyfriend is asc sag and where is your sag?
I think the double whammies always involve 4 positions.

Thank you very much for your time, If you have any time out, I would love to hear anything about the synastry with my boyfriend and our uranus, actually yesterday I realized that I am getting used to surprises and I react now in a different way to them, yesterday he was offer a new job in my hometown, so all the plans to move to another country in easter are suddenly stopped and I may not move, althought I already quitted my job, so I would have to look for other one here? oh!....
Since two years ago everything is so changeable that I have learnt to accept it with no worries at all. Maybe I am becoming reckless but I realized that I need this, it would be very oppressing for me to see my life perfectly planned.
Well, I hope I didnīt bore all of you with my stories , just appreciate any oppinion about our charts!
thank you!

and you are right again ciao, in your interpretation because it is true that I am surprised about my feelings and reactions in love, specially since I met my boyfriend!
Thank you!

hi again!
I am not concentrated today and a lot of things come to my mind after sending the posts...
wild rose, afortunately I donīt have uranus in 7th house, but I have a question. Thay is enough? you donīt need to combine it with your boyfriend/husband/wife, etc...? It is enough with that chart independently of your partner?
thank you!
