have any of you have a genuine love for a life that's the total opposite of what you're living now? I don't mean taking a trip if you're a total homebody, but you have inner urge/need/WANT to just live on a totally different spectrum. change your wavelength.

Recently, I went a rock concert with my good aries friend (12 years now, whoohoo!!) and i realized that despite the cigarette smell in my hair, the weird emo kids wearing girl pants trying to mosh next to me, and my ears feeling like mash, I loved it. I had always wanted to date/travel with a musician/band. I'd see places I'd probably not have seen unless I had left home, I'd meet awesome people (rock musicians are exceptionally nice people like you wouldn't believe. don't totally buy into their "badass" persona), and I would just have a total blast!

is this strange urge to be "wild" and to live differently an unusual characteristic for a cancer? because being cardinal, i'd expect my heart to want to suddenly change lifestyles every once in awhile.

well: my sun is in the 9th... and i'm a libra
asc.. but libra isn't a get up and GO GO GO GO!!! kind of sign, esp. if I'll end up not really having a long relationship with anyone if I'm out and about. Sag Saturn, Uranus, and Cap Neptune in the 3rd house.

Two mutables and a Cardinal in the 3rd house: doesn't that indicate a love of traveling? Pisces Mars in the 5th?? maybe it's the Aries in the 7th: a love of the energentic..

So I guess my question it: what type of aspects would make a sun sign known for being a homebody into a wild and crazy world trotter? and vice versa- what would make a sun sign known for always moving around into the stay-at-home type?

is it an inner urge? or a progession?

Also, these are my plans if I actually decide to go out and travel a bit:

i'll probably put the magazine online, e-mail it, and print it as well.

Is transiting Uranus near your natal Mars perhaps?? Check it out.....or also check out where transiting Pluto is and if it is making any aspects to natal planets or changing houses for you....

Make the effort to learn about transits and you will open new levels of understanding in your astrology knowledge!

Moon,

You asked:

quote:
have any of you have a genuine love for a life that's the total opposite of what you're living now?...is this strange urge to be "wild" and to live differently an unusual characteristic for a cancer?...my sun is in the 9th [expansion, travel]...what type of aspects would make a sun sign known for being a homebody into a wild and crazy world trotter? and vice versa- what would make a sun sign known for always moving around into the stay-at-home type?...

Whenever we suddenly have the urge to do something we have never done before, take a look for transiting (planets in the sky) Uranus (friends, also rebellion, impulse). In your chart currently transiting Uranus is squaring (energy needs to be combined with) your birth Mercury (thinking) and Venus (relationships) and will soon conjunct (enegy is combined with) Mars (being, also action). This indicates an impulse to think new thoughts and get into new relationships. Also, soon there will be an urge to "take action" in something.

The only warning is Pisces (spirituality, also confusion, addiction, alcoholism) modifies your Mars, so be careful about how "wild" you get out there on the trail...or you might find yourself in some sort of drug rehab after everything is said and done! But, as long as you are careful about who the "wild" people are you hang around with, it should be a fun change from the ordinary. Enjoy!

Urging freedom with good sense,

Tim

wow- thanks tim! things suddenly seem to be making more sense..

lately, i have been feeling like i need to do something bold.. i'm thinking about creating a local magazine on local bands to help them get noticed, and such. thing is- i need more people who both love music and writing. it's usually one or the other.

how much, exactly, do you think my mars will effect me during this phase? i can usually control myself.. well.. usually, not recently, lol.

also, i'd love to hear from others who are experiencing the same things currently!

What band did you see, hear?
I love the mosh pit. I have never deciphered it astrologically, but after this post, I may!
I am a mother of 2 teenagers and have loved rock and roll since I can remember (am in my mid 40's.) My girls have been raised on everything from Pink Floyd to Tool.
In my experience, and I have analyzed it recently (with my age) the feelings to exert your energies as you have described are an energy thing, and a "rite of passage."
The mosh pit is a wonderful place. I remember a Dr. Phil show where there was a woman close to my age who enjoyed mosh pits, and the "host of the show" judged her as an angry, agressive individual who liked mosh pits as a place to act agressively. I totally disagree!!!!!!!
Sure, there are those who act out, but when I am in a mosh pit I feel the energy, I love it! It is a bunch of like-minded individuals who have come together to connect via music. I recently wrote a manuscript regarding this subject, and may one day try to get it published!
So, go with the energy you are feeling, live and love!!!!

Ps: it could very well be a Uranus thing, I am a Pisces sun with Mars, Merc and Jup, and Sat in Aqua!!!!!!!!

Rock On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were listening to my friend Tom's local band called Edwards Eruption. Funny thing is.. the band is of three Edwards brothers... and my friend Tom. I call him Tom Edwards for fun.

There's this one band, (they're emo, but good emo) called Time and Distance. I really really want to go listen to their concert. No moshing.

I'm too little and petite to mosh though. I'd get severely injured, lol.

*M.P.* ..
3rd March 2006 (close orb aspects)
transiting Lillith conjunct natal Lillith
transiting Lillith sextile natal Sun
transiting Neptune trine natal Mercury
transiting Uranus trine natal Pluto

between 2006/2011, transiting Pluto will conjoin natal Saturn/Uranus,
oppose natal Chiron, then natal Sun.
(feb 2007 sees it exact to natal Saturn and Uranus)
