Well it's official. My Pisces and I are currently in sync, in some kind of amazing calm, fluid remarkable sync.

And I am trying to buy a thoughtful lovely but not inappropriate vacuous pedestrian or supercillious birthday present for him. I have a few things in mind but what might LL friends suggest for a PISCES MAN (aqua venus/mars/libra moon/cancer rising/pisces mercury/neptune scorpio)????

After the last go round of saving my life (Spring 2005) I gave him vegetarian cookbooks (cancer rising---he loved these and oooh and ahhed over them which made me feel so different, fragile and nervous and about three thousand feet high since I took much care and most people just sort of rip the wrapping paper off.... Instead he was gentle and kept commenting on the paper and the ribbons--then looked very carefully through he books. All the while smiling, and saying wow...)

He seems to like books, art and things I have created on my own (Venus Taurus--I am really sentimental!).....

What to do?

Get him the most beautiful painting or photo of a sunset over water.

Not the bog standard ones you find anywhere, but something that seems to have a magical tinge to it.

He will stare at that for hours on end and it will calm his soul.

Or you could just get me one.

Oooooh!
Yes!
That's a wonderful idea, Swerve.

Very romantic, better than a book that is read, and laid to rest until being, perhaps, read again, but a painting as you've described, would be something that would always be in sight, and that would be so much more lasting in impression.

Swerve's suggestion was very good. A lovely medium sized beautiful wall painting would surely be the one I would like to have

Other options (or along with the main gift), which I could think of is something made by your own hand. A greeting card, decorations done by you, or some poetic lines in your own handwriting, etc (I guess he might have liked the last gift's packing n stuff, because it was done by the person who was giving the gift and not someone else).

On the other hand, a Pisces would cherish and keep the whatever gift given with him for a long time (memories).

You guys are so great, so sweet, very helpful!. You know it's funny. I make handmade soap and handpainted cards in the Studio and gave him some of those things last year. I would like to think he cherishes those things. He seems to really like the things I do on my own. It's not so much his words as much as the look on his face which is always sort of wonderment and genuinely boyish. I live in a very serious prescribed world. I live for that look.

I do suspect that he saves my letters. I was raised on letters, and letter writing on nice linen papers (my mother who is now dead collected and used fine ink pens). I handwrite my own and usually send them wrapped in ribbon. I love all of that stuff and he is one of the few persons I feel comfortable doing those things for(not embarrassed or self conscious as I would be with most) ..He always says "it must have been so much work"...

I am a pretty decent photographer but more of sunsets than water. I will have to get my act together....

Yeah, the reason being Pisces are more emotional and sensitive.
“it must have been so much work” – That’s because we appreciate and like creative things. I myself am not creative; so for me when others do such things; its like others spending lots of efforts and being so creative
Maybe it’s the same case with him; thinking from his own perception that he may not be good at it and would like to be good at creative things – thus those who have such abilities are taking lot of effort and giving the gift to him. (Ohhh Gosh …me and my analytical logical thoughts )

It takes time but it never seems like alot to me, mainly because it's what I want to do..I just like that he lets me do it without reprisal. He doesn't say to stop; I can flood my sunshine all over the place. He absorbs the kindness with a measure of grace and never flinches. In that way I get to be a child again.

Aww...
That's so sweet!

And I'm sure he picks up on your sunny, childlike delight in doing these things for him.

I've no doubt, it thrills him, that someone would give to him like you do, cause it's probably, in his nature to be a giver himself.

More than likely, he understands the creative process, and admires this in you.

Sounds like you've been doing a good job at loving a Pisces.

That gives us (other Pisces), hope, that somewhere out there, there's someone who could be that good to us. {at least it does me...}

I thank you for being so good to him.

Lily, your love with your darling fish sounds like it was made in heaven. I'm sure anything that comes from your heart and soul is what he will love most...
Blessings,
