Sometimes I really wonder about the way Capricorns are portrayed.
Here are two cappys I know and their traits

Cappy 1 ( I absolutely adore her )

* funny - has the most contagious laugh
* doesn’t take anything seriously, except her work…but only because she has respect for her clients
* comforting and touchy feely
* never makes me feel uncomfortable…even when we have nothing to say ( very Aquarian )
* she’s optimistic and fun to be around
* and is always talking…and it’s always interesting - and unlike Gemini, she lets you speak sorry, I do love Gems.

Cappy 2 ( she’s a lot younger )

* from day one she was very trusting with me - we talk about everything…tho it’s more like she talks about everything! I’m very private.
* she’s her own person and doesn’t like to conform
* emotional, but not in a blubbering kind of way
* VERY talkative, and again she always has something interesting to say…no matter how trivial
* very sweet and kind…has her heart on her sleeve
* very loyal even if we haven’t seen each other in a long time

I feel this really comforting feeling around them…like they’ll never let me down.
Awwwww I Cappys

So what do you think? I have nothing in Capricorn - but Cappy suns will either be in my 10th or 11th house. Also my Venus and Mars are cardinal - yet there seems to be no problems *knocks on wood*

Most people show more of their rising signs than of their Sun signs.

A Capricorn might "think like" a Capricorn, a Sagittarius, or an Aquarius. Chances are the talkative one has Mercury in Sagittarius, and th humorous one has Mercury in Aquarius.

When another person's Sun falls at the top of your chart, you usually "look up to" that person.

I see myself in bits of what you wrote. Being a Pisces you should encourage a mutual confidence in one another.

When I think of Capricorns really veering away from their traditional interpretation I think of Jim Carrey. He totally doesn't seem like a Cap, at least initially.

As far as your young friend being a non-conformist, that's exactly how I was growing up. I had no problem not fitting in, and doing my own thing.

AG, I can totally relate to what you said. That's how it's been for me as well. Untraditional sums it up really well.
