uh, i almost feel silly asking, but where can i start, how do i start, where can i look, how do i look to see what is currently going on in the sky/astrologically and use it to help myself understand upcoming events for myself based on my natal chart? ------------------ "To see, to hear, means nothing. zelda,First you must understand your own chart VERY well. Once you understand your own chart, you understand what planets in a house mean and what aspects made between plantes mean. And that's all transits are: planets in the sky moving into and out of our houses and making aspects to our birth planets. To find a listing of the planets currently affecting your chart, go to astro.com: - Click on "Free Horoscopes" - Click on "Chart Drawning, Ascendant" - Create your chart - Click on "Free Horoscopes" again - Click on "Extended Chart Selection" - Select "Natal chart and transits" from the drop down list - Click on the "Click here..." button - Click on "Click to get the additional tables" And that's all there is to it! Easy! Step by step, Tim ------------------ For information on basic astrological chart interpretation see: http://www.geocities.com/wilsontctc IP: Logged |

One good way of starting to understand one's horoscope in transits, is to have a close look at transits already passed.Consider: what happened when you had a Jupiter return (approximately 12 years between them), a Saturn return (29 years), and so on. Mars is also good, because its effects are often quite concrete. Focus on conjunctions and oppositions (the strongest aspects) with any points in your chart, but the best is to pay special attention to points that are particularly strong in your horoscope chart - such as conjunctions of planets in your chart, or planets in signs where they are the rulers.

Astro's definitely one of the best places to start. If you want, you can get a program like astrolog that shows you the planets as they move around the zodiac. If you're a visual learner that'll help you quite a bit in seeing what's going on. (it won't interpret the transits, just show you how it "looks".)IP: Logged |

I need to learn this too. I understand, for example, that the moon changes signs every couple days and I understand that whatever sign it is in colors the emotions of people in general, but how do I apply this to MY chart specifically? If my software tells me that the moon is in Gemini now, in my time zone, then do I look at where the moon is in my chart (Capricorn) and see if there are any aspects between the two? So, if the moon is now in Gemini and because my Venus and Sun are Libra, does that mean that there is a possibility, depending on the degrees, that the current placement of the moon (in Gemini) is Trine my Venus and Sun??? Which then would give me comfortable emotions, for example? Is that pretty much what a transit is about? Then I can look ahead to times when the Moon is Trine (favorable?) and understand that during future squares I might not "feel" my best since it is a Moon "feeling" aspect? Is any of this correct/incorrect?------------------ "Did you ever get the chance to dance along the light of day?" IP: Logged |

mystic,This all sounds correct to me. The challenge about timing Moon moods is they go by so very quickly. But plotting the Moon's path against your chart can give you an indication when you are going to be in an "easy mood" or in a "challenging mood". Moodily, Tim IP: Logged |
